What "The Wolf of Wall Street" Tells Us About Mark Zuckerberg's Latest Senate Hearing

On January 31st, 2024, Mark Zuckerberg took part in Senate Hearings on the dangers of his and others' Social Media platforms. The exchanges culminated in some pretty great theater as Zuckerberg was all but forced to apologize to the families of victims of Facebook and Instagram. It seemed to get a lot of run on the very websites that it was opposing but I wonder if any meaningful action will occur as a result. Did Mark Zuckerberg leave this hearing with a newfound perspective on his role in the biggest problems impacting teens and children? I may not be totally convinced. Something about the hearings reminded me of 2013's "The Wolf of Wall Street". It's a classic and a movie that I think has some keen insight on this very topic. As long as we look close enough.
