There was nothing glamorous about the film. Lots of them went to prison and Belfort got divorced twice, not to mention his drug problems/trying to take his daughter.
Before that it was pretty glamorous. They put a lot of time to show how much money he has and how much freedom he has with it. More money than he knew what to do with
America itself is stolen your working getting ripped off everyday and you go in moaning groaning or kissing butt with the person who pays whatever dont affect his money for them luxury cars houses probably praying or playing lottery guaranteed your not selling more than your vexation wishing you had something more if you had 1 billion dollars let's see the lifestyle youd live whatever came to your mind you would do it because you could
Eh, if I’m gonna be honest I was pretty revolted by much of the “glamorous” content of the film. I love how much this guy loves the movie despite the fact that it portrays him as a completely awful human being. Either he’s just honest or he doesn’t realise it. I’m reminded of a story I had once when Henry Hill said to Ray Liotta “thanks for not making me look like a scumbag” and Liotta thought “did you see the movie?”.
Its crazy how this guy lived this life... -Without getting permanent damage from drug -Stds -And also life in prisonment It's like he always had one foot out....and was way cautious than others. ....he lied to everyone, but himself what a great salesman
The guys a scumbag but I gotta give to him he could sell a beach house to a polar bear. The way he indirectly avoids answering the question and puts a positive spin for him on it is insane
I don't know why I felt I needed to bath thrice after watching it. It feels like a crime to watch it. I do like having money but that movie just scares me. Just reminded me to find my own happiness no matter what but not this intense.
He just played the game the way it goes america is just about a product no matter what you are talking about your either the seller of it or the labor behind it the dumbest can be the richest the smartest be poorest that's the vanity not this guy
He’s absolutely right, idk what these crybabies in the comments are talking about. It shows the highs and the lows. The fast cars, the women, the drugs, and also the abuse, the weakness, the jail time, the loss of all his money, etc. The good contrasts with the bad. This movie did not glamorize the drugs and women. It showed that this man lost everything because he was arrogant and he understands that. Duh. The drugs and women just existed in the movie.
Let’s be real. Girls, money, and cars. That’s what men like because women like the other two as well. Now drugs, well, more people do drugs than those that are sober realize. How do you think they’re making all those sales working 80 hour work weeks? Coke. Then you gotta drink or something to go to bed. It’s not worth the risk. Withdrawal is hell for about half of drugs but you’d never believe how bad it is until it’s happened to you.
I do like the film because it shows what happens when people love money instead of God. And all the sins God warns us against are displayed in this film. I hope he repents or he'll perish.
People who liked this movie, 80% are salesman just like me🤣 The salesman world is cruel, if you can’t hit the KPI, nobody gives a shet and get fired by top managers. If salesman not aggressive enough, how they could support the family
Tbf, not sure what he would regret. He was filthy rich for years and lived the best life possible. Yeah, he did it off doing fucked up stuff, but let's be honest most people wouldn't regret much. Then again, I can't really see myself doing something like this to begin with
This man has learned nothing of right and wrong and feels zero remorse
I’m pretty sure he learned something. But no, I don’t think he feels remorse at all 😂😂 I’m not surprised though
Exactly, he sounds like a psychopath.
I’d still hire him
He learned how to not get caught next time, which is basically everything what prison does nowadays
You talk like that like you personally know him lmfao and even if he did, it was years ago. Not justifying what he did but it’s not my place to say and quite frankly I don’t really give a fuck
