I review the Callaway Rogue ST Max Driver, new golf club for 2022 from Callaway providing maximum forgiveness, straight hitting and fast golf ball speeds for longer tee shots hitting more fairways. I provide my personal feedback on the look, feel and performance numbers using TrackMan4.

Watching you hit balls with this driver, it would seem that it was made for everyone. Very consistent numbers which is very impressive. I might be interested in trying this. Thanks Michael!
This driver seems to be suitable for players of all abilities and swing speeds. Great performance on strikes across the face. I'm definitely interested in this model.
You got some great numbers out of that ! Thanks for the review and I can’t wait to give this club a go at a fitting.
Most impressive driver looks wise and forgiveness I've seen in many years. Could finally be tempted to spend some cash and get custom fit. Get it in the bag mike 👍
I love the look of these new Callaway drivers. I’d be interested to see you compare this to the LS version. For me, it’s going to be the Rogue vs the STZ 220 this year.
I hit 300 yard bombs with my original Rogue from years ago all day for half this price. Still has jailbreak technology. Smooth swing and ball in the center of the face. Practice makes perfect.
Thx for the great review Michael, stealth has had all the hype but I think this rogue is gonna do well - definitely going under the radar a little. Going to have to test it.
The Taylor made stealth is getting more attention but this Callaway Rogue seems to be the better driver.
I’m a sim2 player and a taylormade fan, but after testing the stealth and rogue st max LS I can say without a doubt the rogue was the better and more consistent driver by far
I tried (demo’d) the Callaway Rogue ST Max yesterday. Mucho distance gains. Slight left bias, but I can fix that. I was hitting approach shots with wedges and 9-irons. It was very windy (5/30/2022). Going out again today to hit on a calmer day. Expensive, but I’m willing to sacrifice if I’m going to get these distance gains. (55 g, regular flex Mitsubishi Tense shaft.)
Impressive numbers on this club Michael. Very consistent
Hey Mike - would love to see a “forgiveness test” with the Rogue ST Max vs Ping G425 Max. Curious to see how off center strikes effects performance in both. Love the channel! Cheers from TX
I’d love to see this too! I saw a video where someone else did this comparison and he gave the edge to the Callaway.
Wished I lived new you Michael so I could have a driver fitting and lesson combined 👍
Would you put it up against the ping g425 just to see how far apart or close they are great video
Excellent review of the Rogue ST which has become a firm favourite now it’s been discounted thanks to Paradyms arrival 👍
Another great review, thank you Michael.
Thanks Michael, you also did a review with the TM Stealth, any preference? To you find the Callaway more forgiving/accurate with miss hits?
Thanks for another fantastic review Michael This driver looks fantastic
Just bought one in 9.0 Degree loft. Hits beautifully set in the Neutral position. Can't wait to take it out to the course. Nice Review!
Well done. Thank you. Good striking!
Would love too see a comparison to last years Epic Max
Thanks mike looks very good What would be the spin numbers for slower swing speed?
Totally depends on your angle of attack and dynamic loft
Pick mine up tomorrow! 😀 great video
Heard nothing but good things about the new Callaway ST Drivers…. If everything is true about them I see a lot of golfers putting them in the bag this year 👍😉
Please please do a comparison between the ST Rogue which I have against the paradym I'm trying to convince myself I don't need the new driver xx
I really enjoy the videos that you put out, but I would like to see more on course play.
Michael - could you do a stock shaft test video for the Rogue ST Max like you have done in the past with other drivers? Really would like to see how the new Tensei AV Blue and White perform.
A year ago your numbers were 298 carry / 334 total with the B21 driver. Has your swing change that much or is the Big Bertha a better driver?
That was the best driver for him, but he just didn't want to game it.. such a shame, he crushed that thing!!
Impressive test!
I know you haven’t reviewed the cobra yet Michael, but I’m already pumped for a cobra LTDx LS vs Stealth Plus vs Rogue ST LS shootout if you are willing to do it!!!
Great video and great info. The Max is very impressive! 👍🏼
Obviously good ball speed but I would like to see you also comment on smash factor which in this case might be close to the lower side, indicating perhaps a not so perfectly matched shaft?
What about the shaft?
Great video Michael but drivers like Wilson D9 or Cleveland Launcher LD have in test the same results with better price. does it really make sense to pay for pure marketing?. I'm senior golfer with swing speed arround 80 mph ( 195-225 yds.). More distance?...increase swing speed. My old Cobra F8 can do more distance.
Would you recommend Max or LS for a 16 handicaper? What about 9 or 10.5 degree loft?
Nice consistency. But very low peak height, no?
Hey fella, would you say this driver has a slight draw bias ? If so, you think that’s all to do with the 59* lie angle or something else ? Cheers
While not having the media hype of the TM Stealth it appears just as good if not better.
Have you tested the gen 4 PXG 0811 XF? Very interested in how that would stack up since the price for them is $299 now
Which would you choose rogue or stealth?
You mentioned you would/could game this driver. Curious to know what you have in the bag at the moment?
G400 LST
What shaft did you have in this Michael
smoke IM10 6.5
I am a mid handicapper who was actually gaming the previous Rogue. And just from personal experience I found that a bigger longer head did not really help with centering the ball well. Even the compact looking Epic Flash and Speed drivers are big enough! The Rogue head created drag on the down swing and was just not for me.. I shifted to Epic Flash and its longest distance is perhaps less than the Rogue but I am peppering the fairway with much straighter hits. Just my advise to mid and high handicappers to try out compact head drivers with heavier R shafts and keep loft at least 10 degrees.
Interesting comment, as someone who always liked lighter bats and racquets in other sports I struggled with the large heads that came in as metal woods developed. Coming back to the game and all the drivers seem huge, but lighter graphite shafts keep things lightweight
Now this is something that I would like! Stealth who???? 😂
B21 or Rogue St ?
Never understood why it makes any difference how the club sits at address when you just turn it in your hands to square it up, then hit it. I personally like the older Rogue colors but this new line looks pretty clean. Seems to perform well which is what matters but I’d rather not pay $500 to $630 for a driver. Did it with the old Rogue, not doing that again. My reshafted F9 works just fine.
Because the way the club looks at address can impact how you swing. If the club naturally sits open, it might make your more inclined to swing in a way where you don’t lose the ball left
What is the gold weight cap made of?
Tungsten
Triple diamond on the way Mike?
at some point yes
I just wish they could make forgiving drivers less elongated and ugly to the eye. The Taylormade SiM 2 max accomplished this very well, more companies to need to take note, I’d buy the new Rogue if the footprint wasn’t so big.
Great review, big thanks for including the shots and data for your off center strikes. Big help knowing the performance drop off on them.
Quick question- In the vid, what shaft are you using? Is it a stock Callaway offering, or one of your gamers?
I used the Smoke IM10 6.5 👍
Its 5 am I'm watching a review of a driver i own.
All this talk about drivers, no one talks about the shaft ? What shaft is best for swing speeds?
Done a number of videos on shafts comparing etc
Shaft is highly personal. It’s all about feel and preference and performance with your swing. Some people need low/mid/high trajectory, some need more spin or less spin, some need x stiff/stiff/reg. Everyone’s swing and preference is different too. someone might swing 110 mph but still prefer a stiff flex in a certain brand vs an extra stiff shaft or someone with a 94 mph swing might find better dispersion with a stiff even though most would put them in a regular flex. I think that’s why most reviewers don’t focus on the shaft.
@@MichaelNewtonGolf When you get the full fitting cart would love to see a stock shaft compare in the head you like the best. I guess will be the MaX LS.
@@tigertim9232 Yes, I am interested in the shafts as well, The Callaway US site is showing Tensei AV shafts in Blue or white..on these 2022 Rogue drivers.
Looking a lot at the Max LS. as well.
WOOOW FIIIIRRRSST COOOOOMMMMMEEEEEEENNNNNNNTTTTTTTTT 😝😶😝🤗☺😶😝😝😏😝
Better than stealth? I think so…..
I would love to see what happens when a "senior" hits one.
Wow, Wilson D9 Driver tested 11months ago had better numbers….hmmmmm
Drive for show put for dough
👍👍👍
Obviously telling people how much would definitely spoil the review 🤣
Are the other big players going to move to carbon faces or is that a fad to make TM more money?
G425 copy...
But the sounds are chalk and cheese, for what that's worth.
One sounds like a titanium driver...
One sounds like a carbon fiber driver...
