Endurance racing definitely requires a different mindset than sprint racing; you have to focus on survival, consistency, and knowing which fights you're in and which ones you have to let go. Congratulations! There is no way to adequately describe the feeling of competing in and (hopefully, surviving) any endurance race, but the first one is always special.
This particular 24-hour race was hosted by PCA Sim Racing. One either had to be a member of Porsche Club of America and a driver with pcasimracing.com or a member of one of the other racing leagues invited to participate. Beyond this race, iRacing has several special events scattered throughout the year, many of which are road endurance races (iracing.com/special-events).

A great question. It is a continuous race for 24 hours, but cars must stop every 45 to 60 minutes for fuel. Some stops include tire or driver changes. Damage repair can demand longer stops, depending on how bad the damage is.

aint no way, I actually raced in this as car #400 and it was a pretty fun race with the 963's and the rsr's, I hope you guys had also a great race!
The race had its challenges, as any endurance race does, but we drive to have fun...and fun was definitely had!
