That Formula DS is insane! Got to hit a drag strip with that. Between it and the F2004 mod, First Studio Racing makes the 2017 Formula Extreme with 1100 bhp for a slightly more manageable experience. 😎
There is a version of the X2010 that is even faster, 2000hp and even more aero, called the X1 I think (the S1 trim). I have it on my computer but can’t quite find it anymore
Now, I know this is all simulated, but: The fact that the F2004 went through Hawthorn's at 270 and the absolutely busted Red Bull thing "only" managed 290 blows my mind. What I would give for someone to actually put some modern slicks on such a thing and push it.
That Formula DS reminds me of when I used to own a Group 15 wing car (slot car) and a guy came to the track with (I think) a Group 20 or 24! Go around a corner, hyperspace to the next corner, go around the corner with momentum and minimum throttle, hyperspace to the next corner..... an unbelievably quick car!
So, I'm new to "actual" sim racing because I've basically had all my racing experience in Simcade games like Forza. If I were to get in someones way, or break the rules, I would feel awful. I just stick with Forza, because my anxiety is so high about doing something wrong and ruining someone else's experience. I would really appreciate a video just kinda breaking down how someone can start out, what kind of servers/races a novice should look for, best etiquette, rules (like track limits and starting positions), terminology, ratings, flags, etc.. In the mean time, I would also appreciate it if someone could just point me in the right direction to learn these things myself! Like I said, I have high anxiety, and don't want to ruin someone else's experience, but I also feel like I'm being held back in terms of the overall experience with using a legit sim wheel setup by sticking with Simcades and not branching out into the real thing. I'm not too keen on joining clubs or communities because once again, anxiety (which also includes social anxiety) but I'm open to all suggestions! Thanks!!
