You funny. Inflation was caused by supply problems and oil shortages. Which raised the costs of manufacted goods and thereby prices through imports. Government spending and low rates were great ideas during 2008 and 2020. Europe recovered way slower from 2008 because it chose austerity instead of economic spending. And now again, the quick increase in interest rates and government spending (+being a net producer of oil)causes the USA to have the lowest inflation rate. Europe has a way harder time readjusting after covid, especially after Russia cut oil and gas
@@Rosebakker5242You funny. Europe did not choose austerity but let money printer go brrrr. I live in Europe, I know this. OP got it right. You are wrong on the whole, as the oil thing marely contributed to the problem. It was not the beginning of it.
@tormodundheim259 lmao what? You think the ECB printed money caused inflation? The EU usually doesn't pay deficits with money printing, but with debt. Which is 100% not like "printing money". European governments have been very reserved with money, too reserved.
@@Rosebakker5242 It is literally what the word inflation means. If prices of some products go up it is most likely the result of supply and demand. If ALL prices rise it is inflation of the money supply. This is so basic you make me cry out loud. The same thing happened in friggin' Rome. The value of the coin was watered down and every price rose. Problem is that Keynesians believe in magic, apparently. That nothing bad will come of the money printing we have done the last decades. Not only will we land hard, we will obliterate the whole dang plane.
1:07:00 literally every episode you reinforce the fact that time, money, and resources spent on training, prepping, and planning are a sound investment
I used to work at best buy. And it was really going downhill. After covid and minimum wage increases. The company started removing positions and cross training everyone to work multiple positions. This caused a trickledown effect of not having enough people to staff each area, long wait times for help. Not enough workers to unload trucks. I'm not sure if this was due to corporate greed or profit margins shrinking. But either way its becoming a problem in retail.
I saw the same crap when I worked at Pizza Hut as a delivery driver. California raised the minimum wage from $8-$9/hr, this was back in 2013-2014 timeframe. Suddenly my tips and hours got cut in half, the food got more expensive, deals were dropped. We even lost bodies and so people had to cross train. GM made me a prep cook just so I could keep consistent hours, but my pay was never the same(it was less due to lack of tips).
I used to be in Best Buy once a week. Then they dropped most of the computer parts, most of the physical games, and all the upper tier gaming systems. Now it's mostly phones and a few appliances. Best Buy is becoming a Verizon/At&T kiosk.
@@GarrettFemister Sounds like somewhere I'd love to work. My store always had like 20+ people. It was always hard to deal with the like 7-12 workers we'd have. Depends on if all the cashiers would coordinate a collective no call no show. Happened WAY to much. We'd have only 2 warehouse workers, 1 person manning the registers, 1 person managing all of appliances and home theater. Maybe 3 people maning the computer section if we were lucky. There used to be multiple managers running different departments. They let all the managers go and said eh 1 person could do it all. (They could not)

Nick, you've missed key point on wealth......... GENERATIONAL wealth. This money was not earned by the inheritors, it was passed down to them. Now a second generation with wealth saw that wealth generated so they are tupically well grounded. The THIRD generation typically HASN'T seen it made, so "its just there". After that it becomes a real issue because if it jmhas lasted that long the inheritors are typically spoiled and entitled brats who throw money around to "solve all problems". This culminates typically into an elite cadre of incompotent wealthy manchildren who's answer is to theow money at the issue until its fixed while a second cadre of theives realize that of they actually solve the issues at large, the wealthy wont fund them further. Your seeing this with "the woke" as elites see theyve gone as far as they can and are pulling their funding out so fast even core gundamenta of the ideology are going bankrupt.
And they'll generally run a company into the ground leading to the assets being picked up at a depreciated price by someone who does know what to do with em. What's the problem ?
@dwwolf4636 aaide the wealthy that were robbed turning to robbery and drug dealing to cover the bills, the starvation of alot of them, the round robin of dumping toxic assets then being bailed out by governments, reality, food, and fuel prices fluctuating wildly at a l9cal,state, and national level as the economy tanks oe is throw into overdrive, and the thieves trying to continue "the grift" then becoming open thieves by bribing the judiciary to turn a blind eye...... not much.
I totally agree with States price gouging laws as Houston just went through hurricane Beryl and the main problem was no electricity and businesses that had it was a premium and several took advantage and charged outrages prices for rooms , gasoline or water . This is greed and thankfully the State came in and stopped their price gouging because during a disaster people are already in dire need and to make a profit off their misery deserves a flogging . And the ability to bring the items in such as generators at the same price as before the hurricane is no reason to increase the price , that is greed .

Correct me if I did not get it right but 1 of the reasons inflation happens is this: If you have a lot of money just hanging around not being invested in something is like taking some of the water from a river and storing it in a sealed container, outside of it's circle. If you take a lot of it out you have to bring more (when we speak about money, we do that by printing more) thus each drop of water is less worth. If that is how inflation works then a *simple* soloution could be a mandatory movement of those money from those who have excess to those you starve (and stop selling painting for millions since that is a common tax invasion). But I really don't know how to make that fair because we try to mix oil and water...
I'd like to hear your thoughts on what happens in a country facing shortages, which is also a country with a heavily armed population. A hungry population will spiral into chaos fast.
Alot of the covid price increases were the shipping charges, they TRIPLED because people were out sick, not making deliveries, but getting incomes (which is fine) but it was just EXCESSIVE due to people actually sick, but companies were paying more in overtime, ships halfway through a sea crossing needing to return due to finding a persin on board who was sick, losing time, no reduction in labor costs, but fewer successful deliveries.

And now again, the quick increase in interest rates and government spending (+being a net producer of oil)causes the USA to have the lowest inflation rate.
Europe has a way harder time readjusting after covid, especially after Russia cut oil and gas
You are incredibly ignorant
@@Rosebakker5242You funny.
Europe did not choose austerity but let money printer go brrrr. I live in Europe, I know this. OP got it right. You are wrong on the whole, as the oil thing marely contributed to the problem. It was not the beginning of it.
@tormodundheim259 lmao what?
I like how Christian said "pacifistic politics". That describes Utah PERFECTLY. It's why Utah is RINO land.
There’s never more than 10 shoppers ever in the Best Buy stores. More employees than Customers.
(They could not)
The purpose of a system is what it does, not what they say it will do.
Ok Nick does have a great voice for acting it's inherently interesting and pleasant to listen too.
Love your voice and more importantly your message. ❤Thank you Nick❤
They're not stealing our children. We're giving them our children.
So glad to see Christian back. He was missed!
DID YOU SEE THE VIDEO OF KAMALA SAYING THAT IF SOMEONE INVENTS SOMETHING AND HAS IT PATTENED THAT SHE WILL JUST TAKE IT FROM THEM AND LAUGHED? 🤬
As someone who is currently working on a patten, this would be infuriating
2:03:45 If you vote for it, as a private citizen or a public politician, YOU are 100% responsible for it, good or bad, and should be held legally accountable
Nick, we need a President, whether you want to or not.
THE TUTTLE TWINS! AMAZING.
Love to hear these amazing arguments. Semper Fidelis.
Love the reference in the title!😂
I seen price gouging with gas going up over $10.
But I see price gouging laws not only hurting us, but killing us as a nation.
I was there in orlando during charlie
Good show, accurate and civil conversation.
🙌🏼 thank you for saying it like it is.
Big corporations will always find a way and lobby politicians. I remember years ago insurance companies were pressured to cap prices. They would invest in different ways and show the govt that they're in the red and need to raise rates.
Great voice - Strong - Commanding = Authoritive - love the soft side = Good balance - Descriptive 😊❤🇨🇦
Another excellent show!
Yeah, the Saul Alinsky get a reaction thing...I quit trying to explain, to debate, to reason, to defend myself...I just laugh at them at this point. 😂😂😂😂
I love these books bought them when they first came out for my oldest. Now my younger two are reading them. I heard a great reason from The Good and the Beautiful lady on why she pays her kids to read…
Well I have boys and they needed to do 20 min a day this summer and we’re not motivated to read until I paid them to read the full series both age groups this summer like .02 and .05 a page!!! One did great the other only 1/2 as great but now he’s all into it when he saw how much money his younger brother earned so as long as they are readying my picks I might just keep up the system!!!!!
It’s a win win!!!!!
And how cool is that your a voice actor for their cartoons we haven’t watched them yet so looking forward to it
Nick, you've missed key point on wealth.........
Clip hour and 35 minutes in perfect ad campaign. Let’s go Nick 2028!!
Great understanding of topics!
Great show as always.
Cartoons changed even back in the early '90's when my kids were little. I stopped letting them watch Captain Planet when they had an episode about population control. I had never seen anything like it! And now look where we are.
Also, keep in mind that bird flu can decrease the supply of eggs and chicken and now pork.
Love how the algorithm is pushing Harris/walz ads when I watch your channel.
As always I enjoy listening to the show. It was nice meeting Nick in person at the G.O.A. event in knoxville. Great speaker, Great Guy. I told him that He's my Thomas Sowell. Lol. I wouldn't know who Thomas Sowell was if it wasn't for this podcast. Great Guy. Great cowboy boots also. Lol.
Hi folks. Beth from CT. Democrat but have been voting Republican for a few years!!! Is it really safe to vote early. They won’t “Lose” my vote?
1:56:07 Preach Christian, I have yelling at people continually at meetings for my county and state Republican Party about this and they just don't get it. This is why Colorado went downhill so fast.
I agree with the constant comments...Nick for Governor then the Presidency!
19:16
"...It's only the other fellow who's greedy."
-M. Friedman (interview with Phil Donahue c1979)
1:38:49 great line! Knowing what it means to live in a free republic is our civic duty. Would be neat to see a video from you guys with your thoughts on this someday!
Politicians are the same as voters. Go along to get along. If you don’t agree with friends family and people you work with you get kicked out or ban.
Love it!
Price controls! What a great idea! It worked so well for Nixon!
My daughter LOVES Tuttle Twins!!
I don't care what the rest of this episode is going to revel, Nick voicing Washington on the Tuttle Twins is the only thing I am sure to remember about it.
One more benefit of a National Sales Tax (a la Value Added Tax ‘VAT’) is that it is internationally recognized that a VAT can be slapped on imports and removed from exports. The bigger the VAT, the bigger the trade advantage (protection).
Here in Canada the average grocery profit went from 4%-6% in one year. Oh Canada!
My kids LOVE Tuttle Twins. They're actually watching it right now 🤣
Have you read the books from Terry Goodkind. His book called Faith of the Fallen makes a great reference to how bad Communism is.
Yes! That was the first good example I found to properly explain the concept to a friend.
That book terrified me, lmao.
Thumbs up for Christian and the money smelter. Glad you're back, man.
10:05 i feel like this is why bluey blew up as much as it did. Its a kids cartoon that goes over the basics of the world WITHOUT the political bias were so used to seeing. It feels like such a return to form.
Ah Howard Dean, the man who destroyed his entire political campaign with a single sound byte.
@ScottCovert , I mean, did you hear that sound byte?
Christian cracks me up when he says “long story short“ 😂
My favorite meme from Mentiswave: "I don't understand the logical conclusions of my own beliefs. therefore, I am immune from them."
Great show so far. I just want to point out that while watching the vod the volume is low. I have to max out the volume on my phone to bring it to a reasonable level while using headphones. When the why minute played it was incredibly loud. The content is great though.
Basic economics coming from a Economics teacher: The price of a good or service is based on the what the market will bare. Meaning, if the consumer thinks a price is to high, then they will not purchase that product. If gas prices rise to an unbearable rate, consumers will find alternative transportation. Suppliers and consumers have a relationship based on voluntary trade where each want to walk away from a transaction satisfied. Duh, Kamala!
Was just watching this, and an ad of walz popped up. scared the shit out of me. Moments of my time ill never get back. If i wanted to get preached at by some fictional ass people, id watch veggie tales.
If you send your children to Caesar don’t be surprised if they come back Roman.
Who gets COVID anymore? I had it 1x, not vaxxed either. But, I have been ketovore for 10 yrs. No colds or flu either. Eating well helps the immune system fight off these things.
How about making out a list of Kamala's newest flipps. Then make her sign it and make it a legal document. She would have to stick with them... ??
Im in Australia… you cross a rural stateline NSW to SA and fuel goes up 15-20c/L - 80c/gall? Atm their capital is 50c/l almost $2/gall cheaper than ours. 😮😢
“Everyone knows you don’t go full ret-ard” 🤣🤣🤣 Excellent movie line reference!
I am that level of petty too TURN THE TABLES!! 🤣 1:08:01
Kodi is the 🐐 editor.
Responding to the Seafaring /Captain and the crew must be able to understand how to choose a great Captain. How do we get the Public Education System back on track so that we have a crew that knows what a great Captain is? It seems a monumental task!
Nick don't promote yourself it's refreshing. I already follow you on platforms and subscribe to you UA-cam. I do this because I agree with most of what you say. I like the parenting tips the farmstead tips the parody in your shorts ect ect. The fact that you just talk share your opinions and thoughts is refreshing and your not shoving yourself down our throats and you also don't have tons of "sponsors" you have to plug either it's nice. Thank you sir keep fighting the good fight for America.
Walz reminds me of Chris Farley. He needs to head back to his van down by the river after this election is over
That’s ridiculously insulting to Chris Farley. Chris Farley was a decent, honest, hilarious, generally good man. He had his demons, sure, but as far as I’ve heard, the only person Chris ever treated badly was himself, and everyone loved him. Tim Walz is quite the opposite.
Heresy! Farley is 60 times the man Walz ever will be.
The insane amount of kamala ads everywhere is mind-boggling. Even on a Nick Freitas video, I get a video ad of obama talking about his friend kamala. If I rolled my eyes any harder they'd pop out of my head!! 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢
We did get burned out in the camp fire, but we left California because of the insane state regulations
They got you in the Tuttle twins!! Love it my little girl isn't big enough so I don't want her in front of the TV but when she gets older it will definitely be something i have her watching.. shit I watch it myself.. I wasn't the best student when I went to school 😂
Correct me if I did not get it right but 1 of the reasons inflation happens is this:
If you have a lot of money just hanging around not being invested in something is like taking some of the water from a river and storing it in a sealed container, outside of it's circle.
The most important ones. Durable, and portable. And a good store of wealth.
Oh you are so so smart can you please tell me about the 2008 financial crisis and how interest rates affect inflation?
OMG. This guy is clueless!!
I'd like to hear your thoughts on what happens in a country facing shortages, which is also a country with a heavily armed population. A hungry population will spiral into chaos fast.
You need politicians with courage.
Love your show! Would love to watch y’all play Minecraft sometime. Our family plays Minecraft together too. It’s definitely addictive.
Why don't I hear politicians talk about what the CDC did regarding their Defensive Gun Use study and how the Professor who did the study even said they were wrong to do so after the CDC aligned itself with activists and Democrats?
You look up American in the dictionary, there’s a picture of Nick.
Do unto others before they do unto you.....
I can’t imagine ANY pantsuit worth spending $3,000 on! I think they’re ugly.
The government taxes us to take currency out of circulation, yet up to half of the usd are estimated to be circulating abroad. They are only taxing us, and not the currency circulating abroad, which will only bring the united states down.
Thank you all. I'm learning as I go. Don't fully understand all the ins an outs but I'm trying just the same. God love an keep you all. Stay the course. We need you.
Gas rationing was going on when Carter was president not Nixon. My dad's licence plate ended in an even number and my birthday was on the 24th. I was in high school then & got to spend my birthday sitting in a gas line.
OPEC started an oil embargo against the United States because the Shah of Iran was in the United States and Carter wouldn't give him to Iran.
There was an oil embargo when Nixon was president too. I was in 6th grade then. I remember gas prices suddenly jumping up, but I don't remember gas rationing then.
Very interesting discussion
