Nice video. My daughter is probably in the very small percentage that has total respect for others. She holds the door for people when we go to stores and tries to pick things up for people when they drop things. I wish more people would teach their kids these things!
It's worth reminding people that Waldameer doesn't charge an admission fee just to get into the park. This is great for parents who don't ride much, but want to take their kids somewhere fun. There is a cost for ride tickets or passes, but it's a great value.
My daughter was beyond excited seeing you back at Waldameer! She has made us play your last video a good 50 times. At least we will have another one to add to the rotation. Thanks for the great videos!!
Yes! I haven't been on a whole lot of other drop towers, but I've been on the ones at Cedar Point, and even though they're taller they somehow don't give me the thrill or the gut-wrenching feeling that the XScream does.
Poor Jacob, once again terrifying himself for our sick, sick amusement on, not just a giant roller coaster, but a drop tower as well. 😂😂😂 And I love the dark rides. As far as I'm concerned, the cheesier, the better.
Oh my goodness Jacob thanks for showing Waldameer! I live in Arden NC but my grandma was from Erie PA. She lived within walking distance to Waldameer. I used to go as a kid and even my mom grew up going there. So many great memories for generations in my family. I even took my kids on the kiddie rids and they are 22 and 26 now. I always loved the Comet, such a great little wooden rollercoaster. Not a lot has changed over the years. Yes they added more things but Im so glad to see a lot of the old stuff there. Such great memories! Thanks for sharing!
The Wacky Shack is awesome. I cant believe you did the drop and all the coasters. Love seeing all the different carrosels . They are all so beautiful . Great video. Keep Safe❤Keep Well ❤
Waldameer is my childhood!!!! The steel dragon is my favorite coaster and the comet was my first coaster at the age of 7 and the coaster that made me fall in love with the thrill!! Been a coaster junkie since and always will be!!! "It wouldn't be summer, it wouldn't be fun without WALDAMEER!!!!"
Classic theme park with a classic dark ride and his famous screaming on the rollercoaster 🎢 rides. Carpetbagger knows how really intertaine us all. 😂 Thanks for sharing Jacob. Your a joy to watch. You take care 🙏📸🤓
Jacob, your ride regret is unbelievably entertaining... Keep getting on those huge rides then regretting it when it's too late to get off and we'll keep loving your video record of it... Also that tiny wooden coaster was absolutely beautiful...
I now live in Cleveland now but grew up in Erie (I am 67)...going to Waldemeer & riding The Comet was part of my childhood!!! My dad used to tell us they were "someday" going to build a roller coaster that went across the road...we never believed him!!! Boy were we wrong😅
@dalestoner2928 No ...the name doesn't ring a bell of course there were like 500 in the class. There were people @ graduation that I never saw before 🤪
I vaguely remember being told that you don't spit, or drop things onto people, but since I've never ridden on a chair lift, I've never had the opportunity. I've got to say, that this appears to be the ideal amusement park. The roller coasters actually look like fun. And, that dark ride makes good use of sound. The different sounds in different areas shows that it was well thought out.
Jacob, I recently started watching your videos and now I’m hooked! I’ve always struggled with anxiety so I’ve avoided amusement parks for a long time, so being able to explore them through your videos in the comfort of my home has been a fun experience. Thanks to you, I’m willing to give amusement parks another try when I go to Pigeon Forge in a few weeks :)) thanks for the amazing content!
Hey there, Welcome to Erie,Pa ..Another good video, you crack us up ! Thanks for the laughs , and your entertainment and the time you put into it. Looks like a great park , Gods blessings on your life and travels..Keep rolling across America we enjoy it.
CB, thank you for having the courage to ride the fast coasters and drop towers. Watching you on them is sincerely hilarious and they’re my absolute favourites. You’re awesome!
Yes, I am so excited you are back at Waldameer! I went here with my family when I was a teenager and I hope one day to go back there with my own family ❤️ For now I am just living vicariously through your videos, so thank you for sharing your time there!
Thanks Jacob I know you don't like high places, but the drop tower was great, and I get to sit in my safe chair at home and live it through you, same with the coasters.
What a great place 🌟 That's my kind of amusement park 😻 No drop tower for me though 🙀😹 You are so brave Jacob 🦁 The Carousel is my favorite thing 🎠😺 Thanks for another fun day 🙏💝🙌😻
So glad you got to stop by my home park once again, actually saw you while i was waiting in line for Whacky Shack. During your POVs as a friendly reminder, wrist mounts are strictly prohibited on all rides as that creates a safety hazard to riders. Only a chest mount is allowed to safely film on rides (per park policy).
I took my 7 year old daughter on Ravine Flyer 2 last summer. I had been on the ride before and knew how crazy it was, but she demanded to ride it. I should of not allowed her to get on yet because she did not like it. Haha. But not too long ago she told me she’d probably try it again.
Next time you're in Erie check out the Naval Museum and Brig Niagara. She's the flagship from a pivotal battle in the War of 1812. Best to go in the off season though as she often sails the upper great lakes in the summer.
Oh man, you were right up the road from us! I've been going to Waldameer for a long time. My Dad's father's company picnic was at Waldameer from 1988 until the mid 90's, so I remember riding the original carousel the season before it was sold. (It had an elephant stander and you rode in the howdah. Even a horse-obsessed kid like me took a turn on it :) My brother and two cousins and I would get Ride-O-Ramas and run from ride to ride to ride all afternoon and into the evening. My cousin and my favorite was always the Pirate's Cove. As an adult I ended up moving very near Erie and my husband and I make it a point to at least walk through the park a couple of times a summer. We're actually moving this month and we're going to miss Presque Isle and Waldameer so much!
I commend you for getting on more rides, just when you go on the really tall rides show more of the views then show your terrified reactions, which I always get a laugh from. Your bravery & nerve has gotten better so keep it up!! Love the episodes.
Hey Jacob wow quite a massive difference from the super quite park you visited.. Nice selection of rides.. It is so good to see all the businesses doing well again after all are tribulations and trails take care my friend. XXX
My family and I went up there yesterday. We live near Pittsburgh. This park is so cute and we had such a good time. My boys are 14 and 16 and loved it. 2 of the coolest things ever happened while we were there... I'm terrified of coasters but having 2 kids and my husband riding I didn't wanna leave anyone to ride alone, so I took one for the team and got on the ravine flyer 2 with them. I was freaking out going up that 1st big hill, as we were cresting the hill a C130 plane flew right over top of us and took my mind off what was about to happen. Then a few hours later my youngest and husband were on it and as they crested the hill, a bald eagle flew overhead. It was amazing. The water park has a ton of awesome slides. Nice lil park to visit for a day. ❤
I love Waldameer! While their drop tower might not be very tall, it's known for being surprisingly forceful - more so than some taller towers. So ironically it's not really a "starter" drop ride!
I'm in walking distance of waldameer and every year since middle I get a season pass. Its so fun to just be here when ur bored and have nothing to do. And the day and season passes are so cheap it's so worth it.
Omg I love this one ,too! I really loved the whacky shack! I always wanted to see the inside of it since I saw the abandon one from Joyland. Great job Jacob! I love amusement parks! Feels like I’m there, I’d wish my kids and I can run into you one day out here in NyC, Coney Island
My first time at Waldameer was the year the Pirate's Cove opened, a year after the Whacky Shack made its debut. The shallow dip as the cars briefly exit was a lot steeper back then, and in the striped room with the strobe, there was a device that shook the car rather vigorously. Randy Skalos told me that some of the sounds you hear were originally used in the Whacky Shack funhouse in the now vanished Idora Park in Youngtown, Ohio.
10.52 The guy with mustache smiles. 13:10 Look at that happy boy 👋😃. 24:33 Insane ride 🎢 for you Jacob . 27:18 That ride exist in Liseberg of Gothenburg , South of Sweden and when i was there i get soaked on my legs while i sit in the lumber
I worked at Waldameer for around 10 years. One of my jobs was cutting off people's wristbands that spit off the sky ride. It was always kind of funny to see what kind of crazy excuses they had. Sometimes it was even grown adults spitting on people.
I have an amusement park recommendation, Stricker’s Grove in Ross, Ohio. It’s a small private family park that’s open to the public only 3 days a year. They have 2 roller wooden coasters both built in house.
Hi Jacob, you went to Waldameer, I'm so jealous, I'm from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, and I love going to Erie every summer, hoping to get there this summer, safe travels to you, love you
Love the video especially the Look on your face when you're on those rides love watching your videos every day makes my day have a good one jacob safe travels my friend.
Sadly Park Owner Paul just passed away a few days ago. It was his vision that grew the park into what it is today. He will be truly missed!
No ur kidding,I'm about to go there know that the owner has passed. He will be missed for sure
Nice video. My daughter is probably in the very small percentage that has total respect for others. She holds the door for people when we go to stores and tries to pick things up for people when they drop things. I wish more people would teach their kids these things!

Whoa, that scream when you came down on the tower drop ride,,,, epic !! ❤
X scream is just as bad as the marineland one. Why did he even try it? 😮
It's so neat to know that there's smaller amusement park around. Thank you for all the adventures you take us on Jacob!
It's worth reminding people that Waldameer doesn't charge an admission fee just to get into the park. This is great for parents who don't ride much, but want to take their kids somewhere fun. There is a cost for ride tickets or passes, but it's a great value.
The "horse dragon" is a mythological hippocampus , literally greek for seahorse.
In Celtic myth its called a Kelpie and that's what he called it...
Hiccup-o-Pottamus?

My hometown…waldameer has been amusing generations for years and now my grandchildren enjoy it. We are lucky to have this park.
Hey Waldameer! I lived in Erie from 1992 to 2020. Waldameer is a gem for the city. How wonderful to see if again!
Guy behind you on the drop tower is the star of this video for sure hahaha
There is nothing gentler about Waldameer’s drop tower. It’s more terrifying than Marineland’s by far! Props to you Jacob for giving it a ride! 😀
Yes! I haven't been on a whole lot of other drop towers, but I've been on the ones at Cedar Point, and even though they're taller they somehow don't give me the thrill or the gut-wrenching feeling that the XScream does.
Your ride reactions are the best Jacob, they make me laugh so much.
Poor Jacob, once again terrifying himself for our sick, sick amusement on, not just a giant roller coaster, but a drop tower as well. 😂😂😂 And I love the dark rides. As far as I'm concerned, the cheesier, the better.
But I live, to watch Jacob scream and cry! 😂
@@allensherrill850 Every time Jacob screams like a little girl, I giggle like one. We are terrible people, and we ought to be ashamed of ourselves.😉

When you see Jacob without his glasses and hat in the thumbnail, you know there's gonna be a scarey coaster, lol
I've been noticing the "coasternails" trend lately. 😆

@10:24 you have a secret admirer! Dude looked like he was getting a kick out of having you as a ride partner.
Made me laugh every time he looked back
Oh my god lmao that RF2 coaster RIPS. Jacob your expressions on rides like that are just the best hahaha.
Proud of you, Jacob. I know you're not the biggest coaster fan and the RF2 is definitely an enthusiast-level ride. Well done! 🙂
We just got back from Kennywood and had a great time. Laughing Sal sends her regards.
Dude behind you was cracking up on the drop tower.
That was awesome!! The Comet looked like a lot of fun! The carousel was beautiful! I love to see the different carousels.
From +10:00 I get the feeling that guy to the right was quietly amused listening to what you were saying before the big drop

Best part of those old dark rides is the smell of grease and paint along with the rattling track sound.

The main difference between them is the direction they spin: merry-go-rounds turn clockwise, while carousels turn counter-clockwise.
