It was awesome to meet you yesterday at delgrossos been hoping to see you one day and it finally happened
You took us on the world’s oldest roller coaster. Wow that was fun. Thanks
You'll notice that due to the low speed there are only side and bottom contact points as there was no airtime. Also it runs on flat bar and not rails...
@@miketwomey4923 I’d love to know the accident history
@@crossoverchildren.allarewe5412, there was an accident at DelGrosso's? When was the accident?
A day without Jacob the Carpetbagger is not a fun day...I look forward to your videos every day and am a long and proud Patreon because no one has a channel a fun as yours!!!! No one!!! :D
That is the most adorable old man rant 😂
Jacob, you are the hardest working vlogger on you tube! We all appreciate your chill attitude and good sense of humor. Thanks!
I know you endure hardships on the road, but the ride on Leap the Dips engaged my whole heart. A grateful America thanks you, Jacob!
Loved seeing the worlds oldest roller coaster .That was amazing. The Delgrosso Park seems like so much fun . So happy you took us along Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
The summer of carousels is the best Jacob. It's a good vibe
AWWW Jacob I love this video not only was it fun as always but when you said "I think Jen will be proud that I won her a pink donut". I thought that was just so cute omg... no one can say your not cute Jacob lol.
I love that Jacob tries to win Jen stuffed animals. So cute. ☺️
Your a brave brave man drinking out of that public water fountain my friend.
During Covid there was a shortage of coins for some odd reason. I’ve noticed myself ever since that I’ve had troubles at some places trying to get them to make change for me. I remember during Covid some stores near me had a notice that they had no coins to use exact change. Some stores were even offering discounts if you brought so much change to them in exchange for bills. Wilds times we have fell upon for sure…. I’m sure schools have stopped showing kids how to count change now just like they did with analog clocks and cursive writing.
Thank You for being you, just as well as you doing what you do for us. This world is too crazy right now, I need more content like this. That’s definitely putting it lightly.
For being such a small old family park, Del Grosso's seems to be well kept up
I actually live rlly close to Delgrosso’s! Sadly I couldn’t go this year bc of my leg injury so it makes me happy I could still see it!! Thank you!!!
I love the old roller coaster.😊
That was refreshing. Ill be looking for DelGrosso products from now on. Nice to see them honoring the family experience and people in general with reasonable prices and good clean fun. Good on them.
Theirs is the best sauce imo in a sea of choices.
Yeah I'm gonna try it if I can find in in my area.
Thank you for always making my day with your amusement park videos sir!
TRUTH!
Enjoyed the video Jacob The carousel was very cool. Hope Jenn enjoyed her pink stuffed doughnut
You need to make a limited edition Carpetbagger on a Carousel Horse pin to celebrate the Summer of the Carousel.
I'd be all over it! And gifts for my carousel-loving friends!
Fun to see these older parks you can just go in and enjoy without an admission fee--and that old time roller coaster! And an Italian food park on top of it ha ha!
We hit these two parks up as the first stops on our MidQwest road trip in June. Riding Leap the Dips is quite an experience!
I love the " summer of carousels" 🎠🌟❣️ That roller coaster at the first place was cool...just my speed ( 10 MPH) 😄 I prefer the older amusement parks and the old school rides 🎠💗It was fun to see You play some games 😺🍩🙌 As always, Thank You for bringing Us along with You Jacob 🙏💝😻
What a beautiful coaster.
Hey Jacob, seen you yesterday at Del Grosso's. I yelled atcha as you were going across the bridge to the ride side. Wasnt sure it was you at first till I seen the socks and crocs. Then I was like Yup, that's TCB. 👍👍
Oh, lucky you! To see, and hopefully someday meet Jacob and Jen, is on my bucket list.
You talk like me. (I talk like my grandfather did, on purpose. He was a Polish emigrant to USA in 1917, with everything he owned in one wicker suitcase.) As in, "I'll be right wit'cha!"
@@maryblaufuss7533 Lol, too funny! I get picked on all the time because of my Pennsylvania Twang. I go up to New York salmon fishing every year and they always say it sounds like im from Mississippi with my southern accent. They obviously never heard a southern draw up in that part of NY.
Beautiful parks in pa thanks so much jacob i am physically unable to visit these attractions anymore i love your travels bless you jacob
Thank you for visiting the amusement parks.Reminds me of the time in the early 1960s when my Parents would take me. We would go to Lincoln Park in Dartmouth, Massachusetts which was demolished about 30 years ago.
Carousels are my favorite! After dark rides, of course. Good choice.
DelGrosso has been making sauce since 1914. They're rated really high and will pick some up at Meijer, my local grocery store.
Oh, never put two and two together. Different than the Hershey's Ice Cream / Chocolate companines.
Welcome Jacob to my beautiful state of Pennsylvania ❤ both parks feel so enchanting!!!! Really enjoyed this one. Safe travels as always ✌️❤️🙂
Cool carousel found!! Rode one on Silver Beach in St. Joseph MI. Plays Christmas. Music and has flamingos, pandas and even a praying mantis!
Jacob the carpetbagger you're the king of roller coaster ride😂
You summer of Carousels has influenced me do design my own with some of your favorite things to ride.
Awww- My hometown! ❤️
This guy is so consistent with the interesting uploads. Ty Mr bagger. I enjoy all of your experiences ✊👊
Jacob!!! You look great! We can tell you have already lost weight. You look healthy and happy. 🎉🎉🎉 Proud of you!
The kid working tacobell was so excited when i gave him exact change the other day. 😊
Glad your having a fun day I’m from this area and both amusement parks are pretty awesome. Me and my husband take the kids there throughout the summer time and we love it. Enjoy your day. Have a blessed one stay safe and Cool it’s 90 outside today !!
Hi Jacob,
The town is pronounced like
AL-TUNA. I hope to get to Delgrosso Park in August.
There used to be a little amusement park in Hollidaysburg, PA. It only had like 5-6 rides and was right across the street from my friends grandmother's trail. Though small, we still had lots of fun.
I love watching you ride the roller coasters. The wooden ones are my favorite ones to ride.
Thanks for sharing your journeys with us.
Safe travel.🎢🎠
Delgrosso was my childhood park back when it was Blands Park. So many amazing memories there ❤
That lion water fountain has been there since I was a kid in the early 90s
And the Carousel organ has a super cool history! Thank you for sharing all the mural photos, so many memories!
@@Cardioqueenmom, I don't remember seeing the lion water fountain when DelGrosso's was Bland's Park when I was a child in the 90's.
It's been there as long as I can remember. Sadly my two favorite rides are long gone now. The Zyclon coaster, which was sold and ended up as the sandblaster in Florida and derailed, and is now gone. And Space Oddissey. I agree, though, so many memories.
This has been on my bucket list since I learned it existed. I’m so jealous 😂
Good morning Jacob 🌄 these amusement parks are the best. Thanks for sharing, stay safe and take care my friend.🤓📸👍
I loved the whimsy of the Canadian merry-go-round. So unique and different.
Glad to see you in my home state.you were about 2 hours from my home town
I’m 19 and that story about the quarters absolutely baffled me, I hope that cashier is the outlier and not me haha
Idlewild Park in Ligonier, PA has a great Merry-go-round!
The change story was very entertaining!
Knobles has a handful of carousels and a carousel museum. Only remember you riding the main one. Love your content.
Looks like a cool amusement park. That's is really nice of you Jacob to put that cap on the fence.
I like when you go to some of the small town annual carnivals. I like to see how other town fairs are compared to mine.
I Love older and especially wooden coasters 👏 Thanx Jacob!
We still call Delgrosso's, Bland's park. Such an amazing park growing up.
@mikereed347, me too and I only went to it once in the 90's.
Enjoyed replay thanks for sharing your channel with us 😀 ❤🎉😊😊❤
Seeing you going to my local amusement park is just amazing thank you Jacob ❤
That park was pretty cool! Glad you got to spend the day in both parks. The oldest roller coaster was one I would ride 😂❤
The back seat of the Leap the Dips is pretty wild
I don't think young people even know how to count back change. Thankfully in society we still have us "old" folks who do know how..but I for see that it is going to disappear and technology will be the only answer, nothing wrong with that, it is just very interesting. 😊
You forgot about one Dorney Park! In Allentown Pennsylvania! I agree on the state of Pennsylvania since I live there!
When I saw delgrosso in the thumbnail I almost just up and did a happy dance...Man I love altoona.
The summer of carousels is cool
It's safe to say coasters have come a long way since 1902.
I use to work as a clerk and the reason why we don’t give change is because of our float. We are only allowed so much change and once that runs out we are in trouble . The same as when people give us large bills we cannot accept them because of the same reason
That looked fun
9:22 Where I work as a cashier part time they don't allow people to exchange a dollar for change anymore. Stores or different places, at least where I work, have become more paranoid about their money and security.
Out of all the screaming you’ve done CB on the massive roller coasters, nothing you have ridden has terrified me more 😳 That wood has seen some days and someone needs to explain the dip at 2:08, that seems a little chewy 😂 You CB are braver than you know ! You’re my hero 👊🏼
Jacob makes a lot of sacrifices for his art. The roller coasters are one thing, but I'd say that Jacob eating that horrid cotton candy hardboiled egg the other day was the bravest thing I've EVER seen ANYONE EVER do!
Great park and reasonable, good for family.
I went to Del Grosso's last month. My favorite rides are the Casino and the Paragliders. My favorite slides at Laguna Park are the Great White and the Twin Twisters. My one favorite ride at Lakemont Park is the Skyliner, but my other fave was the Toboggan, but it sadly went away.
My most favorite of any rides are roller coasters ❤
I just wanted to let you know that the new dark ride haunted hotel opened today at Funtown in Saco, ME. I hope you come check it out soon!
I think the kid was nervous because he might have been told to watch for short-change artists. The nickels I can't explain but I'm sure that was why he was worried. I love all these little amusement parks you manage to find.
It did seem like he got hit by one before maybe even and was written up or a policy was made in response. Especially if he was so frazzled he gave him nickels
The world's oldest roller coaster was so very cool. The biggest and the fastest, they come and go, but there is only one oldest. As far as I'm concerned, it should be named a national treasure by an act of Congress. The Summer of Carousels is something I'm totally digging, and should possibly be a t-shirt. Also, properly done, greasy pizza can be a delicacy.
Omg two of my home parks in one video! I also consider Hersheypark my home away from home park for we visit it so much!!!
Lucky! Wish I could go to Hershey Park more often. The last time I went was 2009 on a field trip with my school. It was so much fun. I love the different rides and foods. I remember being really happy because I got on the Ferris Wheel for my first time and that was really fun. I don't live too far from the park, 15 to 20 minutes from my house.
21:56 now this rides my favorite. Pharaohs Fury.
The last time I rode Leap The Dips, it felt like the car was going to fall apart.😂
Awesome video thanks for sharing it.
Your videos are so fun Jacob ❤
CB you are the best! Thank you for all that you do for our entertainment. You go above and beyond. You are one of the truest professionals I’ve ever seen. I really enjoy your work. A big thank you sir.happy adventures to you..
Ocean City Maryland has a big Merry Go Round and other rides. Right on the Boardwalk.
@davew1065, I remember riding that carousel in Ocean City Maryland as a kid in 2000's. Is it still double decker?
Yes I had to make spaghetti for dinner tonight due to that subtile hint of DelGrosso sauce. Yummy!
Pennsylvania is a great place to visit.
but don't we already have all these amusement parks already?
“A refreshing drink of lion mouth water.” 😂💗
Thanks for your summer of Carousels Jacob!
For carousel’s the Steeple Chase at Cedar Point! Not a slow ride but pretty cool!
My favorite carousel is the one made by the artist from recycled scrap metal (can’t remember what city). It is soooo cool. 😁
You can't ride it, but "The House On The Rock" is a carousel fans dream.
Why can't you ride the House On the Rock? Will everyone fall off?
Try Santa Cruz, CA for a historical 1911 carousel and the wooden roller coaster built in 1924, the Big Dipper.
You’re in my hometown! 💗
I was at lakemont and delgrossos about a month ago. If you ride leap the dips in the back seat you fly out of the chair a little bit on the dips lol. No idea why but the back seat is a wilder ride
I really enjoyed the junk art carousel 🎠! I'm indeed enjoying the summer of the carousel very much l!❤️
Next time for DelGrosso’s, you should time it on a Wednesday for Spaghetti Wednesdays!
10 seconds in and as an Altoona resident I can't get over the way he pronounced it 🤣
Ok I don't know if my other comment made it so I will try again. That old roller coasters is so cool. I had read somewhere on early roller coasters and that was exactly it. Yes that kid giving you 8 nickels instead of 8 quarters is a frightening thought, are our kids forgetting what coins are? Egads what's next?!?!😮 so want to go to Pennsylvania, my paternal grandfather his ancestry comes from Pennsylvania, so would love to make it up east some day. That park looks like fun the carnival fa,especially are priced good, never seen the clown and ping Pong game before, that one would hook me along with bowling ball game. 5hat bowling ball game they have at the Kansas State Fair and it pulls me in everytime lol. Great video and nice win for Jenn. Regarding your pressed pennies get a empty jar for example a pickle jar. When your done eating them wash the jar and lid , make a slot in the lid big enough for pennies. So. Ow you won't loose your pennies
I’m enjoying the summer of carousels… My top three are definitely number one the double decker carousel at Six Flags great America… Number two the caro-Seuss-sel at Islands of adventure… And number three is one you actually cannot ride but the worlds largest… At house on the rock
Totally awesome that Leap the Dips is 121 years old n still running!!! They made products, including roller coaster 🎢 Soo much better in those days gone by, the products we have from the " good ol' days, still existing and working over 100 yrs later, which is superb craftsmanship, which is older generation are used to n cannot get anymore, due to the "throw away" society we are now existing in!!! It is sad to say that my nieces n nephews n their children will have no collectibles or classic items in their futures!!!; This "throw away" society needs to be purged and young people need to make it their goal to create and manufacture consumer goods that will be hand ed down from one generation to the next!!! I love 💕 that you showed us the oldest roller coaster 🎢 in existence, n it is 121 years old n still rockin n rolling!!! Very cool parks you took us to today!!! Attaboy Carpetbagger, you Rock,!!!!
Living for the Summer of Carousels! 🎠
Penny Nickel Dime and Quarter, penny nickel dime and quarter, now a penny is one and a nickel is five, dime is worth ten and a quarter is twenty five… song of my grade school years
What's a pound
Love seeing you visit all of the little PA amusement parks I grew up going to! Lakemont Park has an awesome drive through Christmas light display that I just got to check out last month!
If you ever need quarters for laundry or anything else just stop at a self wash car wash they always have change machines
Awesome ride on an awesome coaster, thanks for this one Mr bagger.
Hi jacob. We have a nice carousel in saint Joseph Michigan on lake Michigan. Down by the beach❤. It's indoor. Live to have you come this way!!!!!
I love that place!!! Especially the lazy river. 😌 one of my favorite places to visit. 🍝 🎠
