Let's paint Gale Force Nine's Alien Ovomorph

Today, I take a pop at the Ovomorph from ‪@GaleForceNineGames‬ Aliens: Another Glorious Day in the Marine Corp. An iconic feature of the movie Aliens. This is designed to get them painted to a tabletop standard and ready to play with.

The Ovomorph, known colloquially as the Egg, is an egg-like capsule containing a Facehugger. It is generally considered to be the first stage in the life cycle of the species Xenomorph XX121. Eggs are produced and laid by a Queen but can also be produced by inducing a process of metamorphosis on a captured victim, which then changes into a viable ovomorph.
Xenomorph Eggs by themselves are seemingly inert and are often dismissed as nothing more than lifeless vessels designed to contain the Facehugger. However, studies have shown that they are, in fact, complicated organisms in their own right and that they exist in a symbiotic relationship with the Facehugger they contain. They notably can "sense" or otherwise detect when a potential host creature approaches. Four "petals" at the top of the Egg open up, and the Facehugger launches at the nearby victim.

You can give them a drybrush with a dirty brown and then a gloss varnish to really get the shiny look🥚
