I agree. I was never inspired to get the vehicles as they looked a little safe and dull for the price point but now I have them I can safely say I like the models.

I add silver on my space Marines as it gives a nice shine under the speed paints. Be sure to tag me when you share your finished model I want to see it!

Still got Mek-Quake, ro-jaws and steelhorn. I took a break for a bit.

Devlin Waugh is such a great character for me, start with swimming in blood and then red tide. You can't go wrong.

@@AdventureswithPeps hey mate, mine are as bad as yours. Really think warlord are cutting corners with quality control with the 2000ad licence. Least the minis look ok. There are so many miniatures they could release, famous chief judges, the rest of the dark judges, chopper, Brit cit, Emerald Isle, Sov’s etc. Think they are losing interest.

@stompingfreak8980 I really hope they aren't but it does feel like Bolt Action is taking their attention. Which I understand as it is focus of the company. I just want more Dredd - even if it was made to order.

It's the GW contrast paint Flesh Tearer over a base coat of Leadblecher metallic. I then went over it with some mephiston red as well.

It's a big lump of resin. So I understand the cost. Plus you get rules etc. But yeah definitely cheaper options available if you are just after some vehicles.

The drop ship would be a stunning piece to own. I love how many great memories are connected to this line of model kits

@@AdventureswithPeps Very jealous of your Citadel Dredds, and the progress you're making painting them - i had a fair few at the time, but there were so many great characters in the range, and most of them never got any other version. (I could be wrong, but I think Ma Mahaffy is the first perp to be encased in riot foam).

It is a very iconic kit. I do wonder how many kids/teens got one and open the box and thought...oh crap 🤯😂

The kit is beautiful. Even unfinished I am in awe of it. Just those scary dreadlocks to do but I may lose my mind doing it hahah

For definite these work well with ABC Warriors. In the ABC rulebook they have updated rules to robots in Dredd, with the new rules these droid (demo and warbot) become a real challenge to takedown. @@AdventureswithPeps Thanks for the reply! Just took the plunge and ordered the Starter Set, Joe Dredd expansion and Mega-City Robots. I think this will be quite fine to start with - even if I was very tempted to get the "Denizens of Mega City One", "Specialist Judges" and "Street Judges" expansions as well. Which of all the expansions do you think is best value for money, to expand on the Starter Set experience? Perhaps the Arch-Villains or the Klegg?

So most games I've played have been in the 50 point range. At that level you don't get many judges. So though it is nice to own all the judge models it's hard to ever use them. I've found the Citi-def offer some great play ability. Citi-def vs Judges or Citi-Def vs gangers or Citi-def vs Judges vs Gangers. Any of the character packs are amazing to play with and can add some great rules. But value for money and gameplay you can't go wrong with the Citi-Def.

With comic figures there is a lot of interpretation involved. The painters have just a few illustrations, colour covers... And you cannot always see the whole thing. For example the one that shows the white/red one, you cannot see the lower part of the character, is mainly a big black shadowed area, so if there is one illustration where you can see more of torsos colours, the painter might go for the later one (even if it's not as striking).

They are mentioned just not given rules in the OG book. The Core book focuses on civilians with the most well armed member being a security chief. This book delves more into the military and they actions they can undertake. The books are well worth it just for all the source materials

@@AdventureswithPeps Oh yeah! I love it. It's a really fun game. IMO it captures the feel of a comic book battle really well with the way you can throw terrain about and the unique abilities of characters.

@@Paint_with_Nate did the rules change much? I have the original box, is it easy to update?

Yeah. Has a lot of uses for sure. Back when this came out there was a few Monkey options from Apelino and his gangsters, the Darwin Block who turned themselves into apes and then the Milwaukee story with Ape the mutant. Also this model was a base for a model called Bellamy so I need to find him.

Thank you. I think Dredd is a great choice. Ultimately almost any models can be used by it. Just make up silly rules. Ie these WW2 models are a re-enactment group gone wild

What level are you at?

I am glad I chose this machine. The ability to flame characters is amazing. It is great against Ai controlled units as their first instinct is to always move off a fire tile, meaning you can dictate movement.

@@AdventureswithPeps That’s very true you do get to have a heavy influence on their first move, with a little kick in the ass at the start of their turn. Although munition can be expensive, if you’re in arena or a mission with lots of summons, you don’t even have to break a sweat. The amount of times you might see summons come out & go “Yeahh here we go… OH WAIT!” *Forgefiend deletes summons*
