Keep in mind, It is very important that you receive a whole lot of lendlease whenever possible!
During turkish civil war:
Can get free lendlease from iraq, iran, saudi arabia, hungary, Bulgaria, albania, romania, Yugoslavia, UK, France
Improve relations with poland, germany, soviets to beg from them
I think my explanation was imperfect as to why we need to prevent italy from capping greece. basically we needed a mutual war with them for us to be able to create a faction. And we couldn't create a faction until we finished up the focus that allows it.
so we keep greece alive and then get italy to join us in "your faction here" as always, the best faction

Apologies for the length of time since the last major strategy video, I went on vacation for a couple weeks, and this video was an absolute beast to figure out, record and edit!

Paradox really needs to change this achievement so that the requisite cities can be owned by your puppets since requiring direct annexation of the states is immersion-breaking and unnecessarily annoying.

Oh wow this is certainly ... Original ;-) I would never have come up with this, brilliant stuff. I do kind of miss the explanation *why* you need to do all the syria stuff (to create world tension to create a faction), people might have missed that. All in all, good stuff and well played!

Paşa isn't a surname but rather a title. It means "high ranking officer".
Turkey didn't have surnames until Ataturks reforms (Ataturk also means father of the turks, a surname given to him by the people).

I'm confused, I don't watch many of your videos (this is swiftly changing, I must add), was the tag switching to raise world tension specifically for the lend lease and the Kurdistan debuffs going away was merely a happy side effect? Insane video.
Ottomans can only justify after 50% world tension, so doing the switch to syria allowed us to justify as the ottomans and gave us a lot more options, including not having to wait for ww2 to do pretty much anything!

Holy shit. This was quite a wild ride. Tag switching, world tension shenanigans, savescum in Ironman and a whole plethora of abusing the game mechanics and just outright breaking the rules of the game. This run is just ridiculous, I love it. Hope you still have some semblance of sanity left, because this was probably one of the most complicated campaigns in HOI I have seen in a while.
On a side note - I personally think that BFB as a whole and Turkey's focus tree in particular is a broken mess and after watching this video, it seems like PDX never actually went back to properly fix it. I remember how unplayable it was at launch and now it is bearable, but still quite janky. I'm wouldn't say that its bad (at least on paper), it just doesn't work as it was intended, lmao (I mean, war with Greece focus should be bypassed if you are already at war, that's for sure)

The Ottoman restoration tree is outright broken, the occupation law You can get for the kurds will disappear if you play it normally, you have to keep all of the bugs in the back of your head if you play this, just to succeed. Not to mention the saadabad pact is broken, and basically a hindrance as a result

Do you think there is any option to combine the formable nations 'Gran Colombia' & 'Central America'? Mexico can core all countries from 'Central America' and it can core Panama from 'Gran Colombia' which might provide a path to do it.
IIRC i think it doesn't work, sadly due to how the coring is worded
@@hatless_spider Too bad! It is very satisfying to form a nation in central/south America so I was hoping for a possibility to get double the satisfaction in one game :).
Not super helpful as it's for RT56 but, if you play Honduras and go for the Banana Republic you can basically do this.
I am usually pro-meta for the most part, but this Ironman save thing is on another level lol... But still, can you please explain in detail how to do that? You went really quickly in this video.
Also, how could you kick Italy out of the faction after you called them into your war with the Germans?
Badically you just need to go into your hearts of iron save folder, copy the iron man save, then paste it into another folder.
If things go sour, you paste it back into the hearts of iron save folder, and boom! You have a good file at the save point to load up
Italy can be kicked because we were the faction leader

They will join the war no matter what, but you mean they are actually sending troops down to turkey to fight?

It's specifically to spike world tension since Ottomans need over 50% world tension to justify. Otherwise you have to wait till germany stomps france to do anything. And since we want france for ourselves, that is a problem! 😁
The removal of resistance is a happy side effect, not the main goal.

@@hatless_spider actually, now that im trying it, you might have gotten quite a unicorn in terms of playthrough, and i mean turkey having 0 divisions for a while is what made it possible for you to cap turkey, see, the ai now guards their ports so they always put a division in adana which is next to the tile of your capital tile which results in an almost instant capitulation when you declare war to turkey in the civil war, turkey hunts your tile capping trail with his 3 divisions and when it hunts the one next to your capital its over
