If anyone is watching this guys video for the first time, you are in good hands. Most tutorials skip over some shit but these are always SOLID. I got the achievement “It’s going to be lit” from following his Lithuania guide.
The politics of Turkey in HOI4 are actually really accurate. Atatürk planned for Turkey to become a democratic republic, but feared that giving democracy to the people too early would result in a pivot back to religious fundamentalism. When you form the Ottoman Empire that's basically what you're doing. This is also why the CHP is unaligned at the start - it calls itself a republican party, but Turkey is at the time a single party state.

Ive never seen Spain go anything other than Franco in historical in years. Must have played 100s of games.
Franco is the leader if nationalist Spain goes fascist or non aligned. They only get a different leader if the falange Spain rises up, or they get Rivera in the first few month of the civil war, who then goes on to die a couple months into the civil war giving you Franco.

Hey Tibbies, unfortunately in my experience Romania joins the Axis the millisecond I declare war on them. I dont know what I am doing wrong because I followed your (really good) guide as closely as possible and still get deadlocked every time I get to Romania because of their stupid focus tree.
For spain going brown party, it seems like they need to be at 60% or higher when the spanish civil war starts
Just a question if you have the answer to it, but when you play as a Chinese Warlord but go down the "Cooperate the Nationalist Path" and take control of the country, could you get the "Awake and Angry" achievement, now that you're technically the Nationalists and that your tag changes to CHI?

I have an assumption that bulgaria will not kneel before you if you do not have a lot of troops on the border. I saw that in game on monarchy Poland, where you can demand Slovakia. No matter how many divisions I had in army, if not a lot of was at the border, they almost always said no, you should check that
I gotta do some testing but originally I thought they would say no if you are at war with Greece when starting the focus, but it could be the troops on the border. All I know is the game decides at focus start, so it’s gotta be one of the two. Probably.
Just a note the Lavant is considered all nations touching the eastern Mediterranean Cyprus, Jordan, Israel, etc but not Iraq
Western Iraq is arguably in the levant.
Edit: I didn’t know Cyprus is in the levant though.
@thetibbiesshow I just realized I spelled it incorrectly 😅 but imagine Cilician Turkey building a road along the coast to Gaza Egypt... that is the Levant and oddly enough Cyprus.
It is weird how these definitions work for example Baltic states often refers to just three countries Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia but Poland and Finland are never included even thought they too only have access really to the Baltic sea
hi, very relaxing and good content tho you should keep upgrade your CAS production to use MİO buffs at 1:06:04 see those little yelllow arrows that you should keep upgrading every time you give a trait. Unfortunately not every CAS you make with that MİO gets those buffs while you level up those MİOs. Like first buff is %10 ground attack and you made 100 CAS with it and then gave a trait for extra %10 and if you manually upgrade in production menu you will made %20 ground attack buffed CAS's. Thats a shitty mechanic but yeah paradox after all. Thank you for content tho very relaxing and entertaining keep up the good work :)
Defense actually improves breakthrough so its arguable its good for being an aggressive player

One thing that really confuses me as a new player is that no one seems to build civilian factories. I only built mils from the start but once I could go to war with Greece I couldn’t even import enough resources to sustain them all without completely stopping construction. Is it better to have more mils with big resource penalties? Should I even import resources at all? Or just eat the penalty?

How can i get romania in faction befor they join axis? Two runs i couldnt let them join with diplo pressure and improving. They join on 11 August 1939 Is there a trick?

The letter ş is pronounced as "sh" in English so İŞ bank is pronounced as "ish" bank just so you know. 02:50
What do you enjoy so much about turkey that they are your most played nation? As a new player their tree is very overwhelming and a lot of people seem to dislike it

Nope, paradox made it so you need like 45% or 50% world tension to request lend lease now.

You probably should try communist china, i think it's pretty tough, in my runs i didn't really manage to balance the support from the USSR and so found myself agaisnt the German Reich, with who the other chinas are incline to ally...
Why did you go down SF? Not criticizing or anything, I used to only use that doctrine and now I use GBP R.
GBP is good for defense, and SF is great for arty and troops stacked with support equipment. GBP is great for countries like Poland or France when they need to hold, but isn’t so great for making pushes, in my opinion.

Hey thanks for the guide, i have such a hard time with the Ottoman's lol. i have a question regarding the Spanish thing though, is save-scumming an option when it comes to making sure that Franco isn't in charge? or is he destined to be in charge at the start of the playthrough, similar to Bulgaria saying yes or no to puppet? Also, unless I missed it in your commentary, why exactly do we need Franco to not be in charge? How does him being there ruin things?
hi again... how do you prevent Romania from joining Axis exactly? is it luck? every run i try they join axis before Germany even starts WW2, preventing me from doing a faction because WT never gets high enough to do so. i'm like on my 20th attempt and every time i get screwed by Romania joining Axis before i can make a faction.
Why did I watch this? Lord knows I'll never play this chore of a campaign :)
