Mike's smiles and joy at the end was the icing on the cake at the for this video. Considering it took 2.5 years to make happen I was a little worried we'd not get that happy ending. That's in no way meant to knock you young men and the fact you did it all free of charge is truly heart warming. Take care and God bless...
I honestly can’t believe he just let you take it home for 2 years and he trusted you guys that you would bring it back or I may just have trust issues lol
It's that Midwest kindness. I'm from the northeast and visit Missouri once a year. I definitely feel like I have trust issues when I visit but just realize everyone is just really kind.
This brings back memories. Growing up we had a 1977 or 1978 ATC70 and then in 1980 Mom and Dad surprised us with a brand new ATC110! I wish I knew how many miles us kids put on those wheelers. Woke up in the morning and they pretty much ran all day. I remember one time we had to sand the points. In 1997 we sold the farm. Wheelers went with the farm. I have no idea what ever happened to them.
man, sorry to hear that. My family still has the family farm, but my uncle passed, and the aunt is a little crazy about who she lets go any more. We had an 80s suzuki and, later, an early 90s polaris. The red hondas always remind me of that suzuki. They are just sitting there degrading these days, and I don't think my aunt realizes how sad that makes me. I took my high school sweetheart around the farm on that thing at 15 years old, flipped my aunt off the back giving her a maine-sized bruise, learned to hunt on it, spent countless hours on the brazos "beach" tearing it up. These hondas always bring back my 4-wheeling memories.
Reminds me of my old 84 honda 200s atc I had as a teen. Found it just the same sitting in a yard and the person said if I could move it I can have it. I pushed that sucker down a hill with all flats. Lol😂 haven't seen it in over 15 years.
Dude Kevin this channel has 100% come together for me. Kevin you have the perfect narrator voice and such a fun demeanor. Having Angus and Ezra in the videos is just money. You guys are so entertaining and make this stuff so much fun! Been watching a long long time and man I so appreciate when you guys sometimes slow it up and deep dive on how something works and how to fix or replace it. This is quality and so so much respect for how y’all could get any damn thing to run, road, water, trails, anything!
I may have cried just a little there at the end (but in a very manly way, of course)! Good on you for restoring Mike's little Honda, and getting it back to him so he can enjoy it once again! GREAT video! A+++++
So cool to see Ezrah again ... he, "PBG" Dalton, Tom, John, and Angus (together or on their own, or mixed and matched with all of your other gearhead cronies) always make for great interaction, awesome content, add Mook, along with you Kevin, and your straight up freekin' hilariously funny yet instructive babbles of information always make the wait for the next vid just too damn long... so getting 2 vids in a week is a welcome bonus. Peace out, from Doc, in the Great White (yup, it's gettin' white again) North of southern Ontario, Canada🦫🦫🟥🍁🟥 .... BTW, listening to you and Ezrah doing your "North Country" or Minnesota/Wisconsin accents reminds me of when I lived in Thunder Bay, Ontario... there are a shit ton of folks there and in the area southwest of T-Bay that sound JUST like that...lmfao.
So when I was 9 for Christmas my parents bought me a brand new Suzuki lt80 quad for Christmas. My neighbor and best friend who was a year younger then me. Got the 72cc version of this 3 wheeler. His was definitely faster and it had a 3 speed where my was automatic. To give you reference to the year I was born in 86. So like this was 1995 I think. I'll never forget the first time riding. And then going next door to his house to see him ride his. He drove up from his house to the alley all in first gear. Down into the house next door that was empty and decrepit straight to the house wide open and right through the back door into the screened in porch. His dad freaked out. Afterwards he was fine for whatever reason. Needless to say. We drove the crap out of them both. Good memories for sure..
The one thing I love about this channel is you guys enjoy fixing stuff for people and you don't charge them anything. People helping people is a great thing
I'm so glad you uploaded this! My neighbor down the street offered his Honda ATC200 for $350 CAD so like 275? USD and I kind of want to buy it but I know nothing about fixing it. It isn't even seized!
@@Lane-jq3ed after watching this I am thinking I might do it, unfortunately I don't have a storage unit full of spare 3 wheeler parts lol. It needs a front tire at least, the bars and stuff are a bit bent from a rollover and it turns over but there's a bit of water coming out with each pull of the cord 😅
One of my favorite tricks learned watching these style videos is to always keep a dollar on me. Sounds crazy but you can use it to clean the points on the distrubtor after sanding. 🤘 Rock on love the videos from Missouri
I had a 110 as a kid, it was a wore out irrigating rig on the ranch, so I drug it out of the barn, and got it running. Ran it with the choke on the whole time I had it because my dad told me if I took the carb off, I would never get it back together. I remember the muffler was rotted out, so Dad welded up a piece of galvanized pipe for an exhaust, and that probably contributed to my hearing loss.
I built my 12 year old son a Thumpstar pit bike that I installed a CNC milled extended swing arm, installed much larger wheels (16" rear and 17" front from the original 12" wheels), swapped the 110cc for a 140cc horizontal piston engine, new engine harness, converted it from a semi-auto to a full manual 4 speed and he loved it for a long time, but his best friend traded his brand new 140cc Amazon dirt bike that he paid $1100 for a 1994 Kawasaki KX-80 Big Wheel and I bartered a deal with him for the bike. I replaced the cheap Chinese Nibbi knockoff carb for a factory Keihin carb, I found an OEM intake tube from a guy in the UK on eBay, installed a new air filter, new spark plug, and he's been riding it for a while now until it started fouling the plug recently. It has a $500 Wiseco crank and a Pro Circuit exhaust with the factory silencer. It got crushed during a wheelie, so I just purchased the matching Pro Circuit silencer and a replacement rear plastic for his Chrummis gifts. I also purchased a new air filter and it's going to be a 80+ MPH beast yet again!
Not surprised at all I expected as much. when I watched the intro. I thought you would take it home do what you did and get it back to him for his birthday 24 hours later.
This is a very interesting vehicle... something like this don't exist in Europe. Well, at least I ain't ever seen any. If there are any, our region don't have 'em.
They don't exist in America anymore unfortunately... They got regulated out of existence in the 1980s, Honda quit making and selling them because of "safety" or something. People were tipping them over while riding on rough terrain and hurting themselves. Two wheel dirt bikes are fine, and 4 wheeler quadbikes/atvs are fine, but for whatever reason 3 wheelers aren't.
that is the most honda mini-engine thing ever, sits for 30 years, locked up, rusted out, eaten by mice, and it starts after 2 and a half hours after doing some minimal repairs
I enjoyed this episode. I miss all the Hondas I've owned. I'ts been 49 years since I rode one and that makes me sad. But this video makes me happy. Thank you guys for doing that.
I was watching an archaeology channel earlier that was going on about how long it takes a fossil to calcify. This video has made me doubt their claims. Still, at least there's some tread left on those tyres :)
I thought one of the other three wheeler vids may have been it, but then this popped up. Hard to believe how fast 2.5 years passed by. Super cool of you guys getting it going again! Makes me rethink skipping out on $200 broken Honda 3 wheelers in similar shape… May have to reconsider now!
Kevin, when people send you amazingly useful items like that gasket set you should write their name on it and give them a shoutout. I promise that I'm not trying be a dork, but that would be really cool of you to give thanks to those who help you out. Edit: I'm sorry bud, that sounded really rude on my part, but I don't mean to be ignorant. It was just a suggestion.
Way back i had a 200cc version with the old xl motor .It didnt have front shocks like your little one there. That made the front tire pressure became a little more relevent to its handling. too much and it bounced. Too little and it gripped and wallowed. LOL I remember riding on the beach with friends. I had too much pressure in the tyres and hit a hollow spot at full speed in 5th? The bike went up and i went up. The bike came down. I came down, bounced. i went up and i came down and the bike was gone. Straight off the back.... It took a few weeks for the bruising to go away. Young and dumb and having way too much fun. We had played around with the chain and sprocket sizes to make it a bit faster as it was low geared. This made 1st a bit high but improved its top end speed. More speed, more fun. Looking back that wasn't a good thing but it seemed like a good thing at the time.A year later i got to ride and 200cc racing version with the front shocks and what a difference.

Yeah, I mean he knows life gets in the way sometimes. Their 2 years barely scratches his 25-30. 😂
This was my thought as well. "we have a birthday idea for you" 2.5 years later...
Same here
Mike's smile at the end was so heartwarming
Heck yeah, 3 wheelers for thanksgiving, two of my favorite things!
I was just rewatching the 250 SX video, and I think you should help Ezra save that green squarebody at his cabin.
That's so cool the story behind him getting the bike in 1979

What happened to Ezras thumb? True mechanic bandaid there. LOL
Nice one Kevin it looks amazing and that gentleman will have adventures with grandkids
Buff and polish the engine aluminum to finish looking like the book.
