agreed 100%. easton is the most unknown and under rated. his great guitar lead solos made most of the cars songs. giraldo is way under rated, but more widely known than easton, fortunately for him..
WHAT A BAND! The bass is gorgeous, guitars, drums. And that voice, madonn'. Her and Ann Wilson, dwelling on earth at the SAME TIME. Talk about being spoiled.
Thanks for this upload of my favorite Benatar tune. Always amazed at how the good lord managed to pack a 4-octave range and that much raw emotion into a package that probably only weighs 90 pounds dripping wet. Before vocoders and choreographed dance ensembles and dresses made out of meat and American Idol, you had to make it on talent. For any aspiring female vocalists out there, pay attention. THIS is how it's done.
Neil Spyder Giraldo is one of the most under rated guitarists ever, and he's been on top of his game a long time. this is by far my fave PB song. the solo is 2nd to none. This was Glendale CA. 1982 US Festival footage where Van Halen killed it too.
I appreciate all the guitar 'Masters', Vai, Satriani, Lynch, Van Halen, Beach, etc, but you can't deny Neil's style, tone, and most importantly COMPOSITION within the song,,, haunting - I put him in my top Guitarists list - so damn tasty!!!
If I had a wife like Pat!,My solos would killer too! Nice to see that they're still together after all these years! Setting the husband & wife bar high!
Neil's the deal! Incredible musician/song writer. Never given many accolades or features in guitar magazines etc but, all us guitarists out there know this guys the shit!!!!
this is such an amazing song brings me back to 84 and Neil is one of the coolest players not talked about much.this solo is perfection and the song is like built around it!!I remember MTV playing this and saying this guy is incredible playing a pink bc rich bich I want one still!!what tone he had on the original BTW and pat was awesome as well! !
I friggin love pat with all my being she totally rocks i hate that she doesnt get that much recognition for what shes done for women in the music biz i love it and thanks for posting it!!
I love this video. Pat looks incredible, her and Spyder were in love and they were #1. I never got to see them in concert and I will always regret that.
This is fantastic... Pat's vocals are stellar, the band is stripped down making this track more honest, gives it more punch... and Neil, just KILLS that solo...Excellent rock n roll from Pat and the gang!
About radio, it was not released as single. They made video and played it live as staple for years but it was an album track. Pat and Neil established themselves as more of an Album selling band (smart). Sure they had 19 top 40 hits but the albums sold i believe over 25 million at this date.
This is the US festival in 82 I was there that night, she came out with a deer in the headlights look, I can't blame her that was a lot of people, after a couple of songs she settled down and kicked ass
That guitar solos...wow! Ranks up there with Steely Dan's "Kid Charlemagne" (Larry Carlton). Those bends and that crescendo vibe; the measured phrasing in the beginning belies the total guitar orgasm towards the end of the solo.
Has anyone noticed that the full moon you see at 2:35 appears to be a graphic added on, and not part of the actual sky during the performance? It would have looked if the shot had been taken with a camera on a tripod, but it's quite obviously a handheld camera, as you can see the image moving around, but the moon remains stationary!
Saw in Greenville Wi. last night, excellent show. She is still HOT,Hubby is so lucky. Wished they would have played Precious Time. Loved the guitar sound, Love everything. Thanks for a great show
Pat Benatar...the best...better than all the rest...Long Island Royalty...
Saw her 83 , one of the best llive voices ever !
Pat & Neil are still together and making music.
❤
One of the most underrated guitar solos of all time!
The QUEEN of ROCK IS STILL REIGNING
@TwistedRiffsterTina is reigning with Aretha
On The Other Side.
That guitar solo has to be among Neil's best. Guys like him and Elliot Easton (Cars) are among the more underrated in pop music.
Pop music not.
I agree!
2 superstars in cool phrasing. I said for yrs, Niel Geraldo- Elliot Easton. Good stuff.
agreed 100%. easton is the most unknown and under rated. his great guitar lead solos made most of the cars songs. giraldo is way under rated, but more widely known than easton, fortunately for him..
So underrated!!
WHAT A BAND! The bass is gorgeous, guitars, drums. And that voice, madonn'. Her and Ann Wilson, dwelling on earth at the SAME TIME. Talk about being spoiled.
not wrong there ... Pat and the Wilson sisters are my all time favourites.
Where's the love for Myron's drum part on this song? It's brilliant. He's a GREAT drummer.
Myron was great for pat and for lita ford
Yes, absolutely. One of the best drum tracks ever.
I LOVE Myrons drumming !!! Saw him in DERRINGER many times live prior to him joint Pat Benatar 🙏
he is
Need to be put into the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame. Saw her rocking show in 81. A night of memories.
Induct them into the Hall of Fame Now!
King and Queen.

I don't have words to say how great this whole band is!... fucking amazing. I was born too late.
that solo sounded exactly like the record BADASS.
Neil Spyder Giraldo is one of the most under rated guitarists ever, and he's been on top of his game a long time. this is by far my fave PB song. the solo is 2nd to none.
This was Glendale CA. 1982 US Festival footage where Van Halen killed it too.
Utterly agree. Hella good rythmasist.
BAITS AND BULLETS it was in San Bernardino California
True he's a great rhythmic guitarist, and can do emotional solos.
@@jiveromeintheie909 Maybe they confused Glen Helen Park with Glendale? :D
Magnificent Failure I know where Glen Helen is I live in San Bernardino and that is where the US Festival was held so maybe your confused
I think it’s his best solo. Amazing. Spider rules!!!
One of the best guitar solos ever. Neil kicks ass.
Neil was in that group of other guitarists thatno one talked about much but he is fantastic and very underrated
@@JohnRocks6368 FUCKING epic 🙋
Most underrated track!
+househeadericmd It's the best-ever track I've heard from an artist of her caliber!
Totally nailed the solo but with a live energy. Always enjoyed that record of Pat's, lots of dark guitar energy on it.

If I had a wife like Pat!,My solos would killer too! Nice to see that they're still together after all these years! Setting the husband & wife bar high!

That solo!
Pat, is the one n only best lady of the 80's;
Man this takes me back.....I was there and it was my 18th birthday...September 3, 1982. That day was one of the greatest days of my life.
My favorite song of hers and favorite solo.
can you believe giraldo's solo?! that guy was, and is, amazing.
Always been my fave Benatar tune. Thanks for posting this live version.
this is such an amazing song brings me back to 84 and Neil is one of the coolest players not talked about much.this solo is perfection and the song is like built around it!!I remember MTV playing this and saying this guy is incredible playing a pink bc rich bich I want one still!!what tone he had on the original BTW and pat was awesome as well! !

Great voice !
Fantastic solo'! I love the several styles he mixes in.
Neil had an incredible style. Great guitarist. That paired with Pat's five octave voice made them one of my faves back in the day.
What a tune...One of her best songs.
I sat in with a band that opened a few shows for Pat around 2006……Neil was super cool. Pat killed it. Whole band was great.
Thank you for posting this great performance.
I love this video. Pat looks incredible, her and Spyder were in love and they were #1. I never got to see them in concert and I will always regret that.
Great Song! Great Guitar player! He killed it! One of the most under rated Guitarist ever.
Great video and Niel is such a fantastic musician. I must of listened to that solo until I had to sleep.
Just saw a recent Benatar concert on TV. Spyder was unbelievable. WAY underrated!

God what a beautiful woman
Thank you for sharing! One of the best singers and one of the best guitarists and one of the best drummers of all time.
I was so lucky, saw Pat live in 1980, 81, and 82 at the top of her game!!! For my money, the best female rocker( along with Joan Jett) ever!!!
Beautiful performance!!!!!
It's strange, but this is one my favorite songs..especially the guitar solo
Great live footage! Thanks for posting!
This is so Awesome thank you for sharing it with all of us ...
This is fantastic... Pat's vocals are stellar, the band is stripped down making this track more honest, gives it more punch... and Neil, just KILLS that solo...Excellent rock n roll from Pat and the gang!

There are still a few 1982 us festival videos and full festival or full sets like Pat's full set. *wish i could have gone!*
What else 2 aay!!! This. Is how singers should sound. Live!!!!!!❤❤❤
The Queen!
Must be a lot of millennials writing comments here, which is fine, but I really liked benatars work in the SEVENTIES. Great video, thanks for posting.
She only put out one album in 70's. 1979's "In The Heat Of The Night"
Great vid gwash! Love the vocals & guitar. Pat looks grrreat and she has that look like she'd kick your butt if you crossed her :o Love it!

Tremendous guitar solo
Mark Teicher.... man I wish I would have seen her in concert

I’ve love this song music is excellent.
But the lyrics are DEEP and how hard it is to get along
"Life is too short...so why waste Precious Time"?
