And that folks is why we love her. No lip sync, no auto tune, no fake ass sound track, just pure honest rock-n-roll from a lady from the 80's.She stunned us 40 years ago 20 years ago and here just recently I bet she will still be capable another 20 years from now.
Love her!!! The way she just walks up to the front of stage with this "I own this shit' swag. Her presence is outrageous. No need to dress provocatively. No need to have 50 people onstage to dance. No need for hype men. No posse. Just a song, a killer band, and fucking pipes to deliver!
The day our nation was attacked Pat was scheduled to play a concert in Livermore, CA that I had tickets to. She decided not to cancel the show and she ROCKED THE HELL OUT OF THIS SONG THAT NIGHT! It was such a great concert to be at when we were all feeling so frightening and angry about the events that took place earlier in the day. My favorite singer and idol did not disappoint!
It does not surprise me in the least that Pat refused to cancel. She herself is a native of NYC so no doubt she was just as outraged over the terrible events of that fateful day on 9-11. I wish I could have been there to watch her sing. That show especially must have been straight FIRE!!
VredesStall - Pat is from Long Island but that's where many police, firefighters and people are from that were killed in the terrorist attacks that day. She, Spyder and the band all felt it like us in NYC. We always loved her.
I saw her live in concert in the late 70s and early 80s. Her voice was magic, but she barely moved from where she stood. It's beyond wonderful to see her move onstage to emphasize her incredible voice.
Hard to comprehend....Madonna, now Whitney Houston this year, rap in the RRHOF, but not Pat Benatar?!! Or another woman such as Johnette Napolitano?Heck, even a debut album by Alannah Myles(to bad her mngt etc screwed her career) deserves rock royalty and not rap and dance/pop...gee freakin' whiz. Whitney and Madonna, rap...and not Blue Oyster Cult...there ya go, another RRHOF blowhard exec decision.
i was reading one of the comments on here about Pat's voice isn't as good as it was back in 1982. Actually alot of people (myself included) believe her voice has only become even more amazing. Like the live version of Everybody lay Down from her recent 2013 tour. Totally amazing live vocals on that one. One would have to be tone deaf not to realize that Benatar truly is one of the greatest vocalist of alltime. Fan or not a fan of her's. No one can deny she is vocally outstanding.
her voice never changed, what changed is in 1982 she was using analogue tube amps ran through analogue mixers...and her songs were recorded on analogue cassettes and vinyl. now it's ran through digital 100% end to end and recorded on webm and mp3. analogue surpasses digital in quality and dynamic range. her voice didn't change. the technology did. and not for the better.
When I saw pat live she said "this next song were gonna do is a great song that was in a terrible movie"..."but its a great song that tells you to stand up for what you believe in and fight for what is right,,,at all cost!" I love this song, and I love her!
Pat has a beautiful voice singing these songs a very good kickass band thank you for the 80s and now still playing a legend. Love your music need to buy your album again lost the other one in a tornado. Pat has class and beauty she adds to her songs.

Amazing talent! What a voice, I love listening to artist like Pat, Martina McBride, Christina Aguilera, they all really belt the notes out and simply gifted, I grew up listening to Pat and Cher. I remember the movie for this song, stupid movie but I watch it over and over LOL!
No one is singing like this today without autotune. This is pure talent.
She just prowls the stage like a wild cat. God LOVE this woman.
And that folks is why we love her. No lip sync, no auto tune, no fake ass sound track, just pure honest rock-n-roll from a lady from the 80's.She stunned us 40 years ago 20 years ago and here just recently I bet she will still be capable another 20 years from now.
Pat was 48 years old at this performance. Incredible.
Damn that was really kick ass!
They have been married for 30 years, and playing together for 35 years.
I didn't know it...
Still together ❤
And now it 45 years as musical partners and married for 42 years.
Damn Pat is a Force of Nature !!! Neil ROCKS also 🤘
a 48 year old Pat Benatar bringing it more convincing than any 20 year old today..
Yes
A criminnaly underrated hit! Her voice is becoming more powerful than ever. Brilliant song.
Agree..this song is never mentioned but one of her best.
@@goodpainlive I think it’s her best along with heartbreaker.
Bow down to the queen of rock!!!
She dominated the stage!
Most powerful female voice in rock bar none! Amazing.
I remember around 1979-80, Debbie Harry(Blondie) & Pat Benatar were in the "Battle for Rock Queen". You KNOW who WON !!!
Love her!!! The way she just walks up to the front of stage with this "I own this shit' swag. Her presence is outrageous. No need to dress provocatively. No need to have 50 people onstage to dance. No need for hype men. No posse. Just a song, a killer band, and fucking pipes to deliver!
Yeah well said!
Totally, every word!
She's untouchable. Mariah Carey is the only one that I can think of that might be her equal. They don't make 'em like those two anymore
@@markc5771Ann Wilson is next in line!
Love those high notes.
Neil is part of rock history and Pat Benatar can belt it out like no one else.
The day we got our ass kicked, she kicked ass!
It does not surprise me in the least that Pat refused to cancel.
She herself is a native of NYC so no doubt she was just as
outraged over the terrible events of that fateful day on 9-11.
I wish I could have been there to watch her sing.
That show especially must have been straight FIRE!!
Gorgeous tough little city girl... you don't want to piss them off.
That's f****** awesome dude. I wonder if there's any footage of that
VredesStall - Pat is from Long Island but that's where many police, firefighters and people are from that were killed in the terrorist attacks that day. She, Spyder and the band all felt it like us in NYC. We always loved her.
Pat Benatar is a legend. She was born to rock.
Wake up Rock and Roll. HALL of Fame Pat and Neil TOO LONG SNUB. How many couples ROCK LIKE they do? What s team, Great
@@madalinewhite2960 Amen! It's proof that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a bunch of elitist ass hats.
Pure perfection...
Yes, she's great!
Take note current Wanna Beeez.... No Lip Sync ! !
Zackley, SHE had the voice to be REAL....
Let me rephrase that... HAS the voice to be REAL !!!!
I saw her live in concert in the late 70s and early 80s. Her voice was magic, but she barely moved from where she stood. It's beyond wonderful to see her move onstage to emphasize her incredible voice.
The friggin queen of rock right there ladies and gentlemen
Hard to comprehend....Madonna, now Whitney Houston this year, rap in the RRHOF, but not Pat Benatar?!! Definitely Beau. 🙌
Pat Benetar blows today´s singer easyly out of the water !

She's just older. It's more refined. Sometimes it's the imperfections that we relate with.
her voice never changed, what changed is in 1982 she was using analogue tube amps ran through analogue mixers...and her songs were recorded on analogue cassettes and vinyl. now it's ran through digital 100% end to end and recorded on webm and mp3. analogue surpasses digital in quality and dynamic range. her voice didn't change. the technology did. and not for the better.
Analogue covers the full dynamic range, digital only covers the frequency range of the human ear, and leaves out the sounds you can feel but not hear.
If u listen to her newer studio stuff, she does studio work in full analogue, she literally sounds the same as she did in the 80s.
Still sounds incredible
Pat is the greatest rock chick of all times......
With out a doubt!!! That voice!!!😲
Wayne Oneal That’s what a little bit of opera voice training will do for you.
Yes she is and also Lee Aaron. Two great legends !!
True big fan here, but when you get time, listen to this; ua-cam.com/video/yrBd96o7y4Y/v-deo.html
That woman can sing!
One of Pat Benatar's greatest hit songs.
its amazing that small little thing like Pat has one of the most powerful voices in music
Great version of a great song.
What a performance! She´s the queen of rock music!
Most get into music for the fame...they dont last that long.
Watch these 2 and you know they are in it for the music 100%.

This takes me back to 1989 absolutely loved her brilliant voice she could sing any song and make it sound amazing
Seeing her live at their concert was a great experience, her vocals give me goose bumps.
Pat Benatar is the queen of rock and roll. She still has it in 2018.
Now that is an artist completely confident in her skin, fully aware of her talent. And generous with the other artists in this concert.
2020!!! Still Jammin! 🎶❤️🎶
