      @@Dirtyfreqs Very, very late, but the reverb is from the room alone, I assume. As for the overdrive, I'm not sure. But I know how strict Fender is with their promotional videos, so it's safe to assume it was either one of their pedals, or the amp was turned way up.

    Patrick does a great job of showing off this guitar and his skills. I got mine in Daphne Blue last month and can't put her down. Love the Strat sound with the center pickup, noiseless pickups, 6 saddle bridge, locking tuners, contoured heel and more. This MIM guitar will surprise you with its playability and save you some $$$ compared to like features found on the Ultra.

      @DavidAnthonyFlores 4 роки тому +1

      @@Khaled-Amir Mexico, however, build quality is still really really good. the only thing is, the back of the neck can be a little sticky when new. You can sand it down or play on it a ton to get it smoother....I chose the, "play on it a ton" option. lol
      Frets are good and it has a good nut. The tuning stays for daaaaaaays. Unless you're doing some very big bends on new strings, it'll be alright. Even when I bend a lot, it holds it very well. Pick ups sound good, you can always replace them if you want too. They are good though. It's a tele. Reliable and versatile.

    I have a 94' peavey Predator (my first electric guitar ever) a 2015 Les Paul Studio and I love it, A 96' Jimmie Vaughan Artist series Fender Strat and this is where I learned how amazing a Mexican Strat can be and this strat is my favorite guitar period but my collection has always been incomplete without a Tele so I looked into the MIM Tele's and they looked and sounded great but then I found the Classic Player Baja Telecaster and it stole my heart. i have it being delivered tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited. I have been fighting a life threatening illness for over a year now and as a gift to myself I pulled the trigger on this amazing guitar with the help of my family of course and I love them SO MUCH for this. I love Tele's and their sound but just never had one and I'm just besides myself in anticipation for getting it. I got an $80 discount due to a small scratch on the back plate but that's no big deal and does nothing to quell my excitement. If I live or die in the next yer at least I can go knowing I have a telecaster and then my amazing nephew gets all my guitars although he'd rather not get them that way. Telecasters are just wonderful guitars and if you're on the fence between a stratocaster or a telecaster get yourself a telecaster. Go against the grain and be different but also do what feels right to you and no one else. never let pressure make a decision for you. Pick what you love no matter what that is. Fenders are awesome and can just about replicate any sound out there. Just saying.

      +Danny Weiss
      Did you have a chance to watch my unboxing/mini-review video? In summary, I think it's a very cool concept, with high build quality. From a critical standpoint, I wasn't too fond of the noiseless pickups. They're a bit sterile, albeit completely noiseless. My only other criticisms are the bridge, the headstock finish, and the new Fender logo. As for the bridge, mine required the low e string saddle to moved so far back that the height adjustment screws sat on top of the bridge plate mounting screw when it was properly intonated. As far as the face of the headstock, it is unfinished like the back of the neck. Unfortunately this somewhat "cheapens" the look and is reminiscent of an entry model Squier. The new logo doesn't help matters, as its large size and color is also similar to Squier. From a perfectionist standpoint, this guitar is about 90% there when you consider the $800 price tag. If it were a bit cheaper, I would easily overlook these aspects. Vintage tall frets were nice, and as I mentioned, very nice build quality.

    • @muzjikstb
      @muzjikstb 8 років тому +1

      Thank you for the video and your detailed thoughts! Good to know re: the intonation issue. I think on balance, the versatility, 12" radius, price and finish (2 tone sunburst, maple neck) are going to make this a go for me this fall.

    I've a Deluxe Nashville Power Tele. I thought it was a combo of Strat/Tele combo. Close, but no cigar.
    Being a fan of low impedance pups (spanky twang please), this guitar is too hot for the music I'm playing now.
    I'm turning it into a 2 pickup, early 50's Tele, keeping the Fishman bridge.... which should work out really well for the band I'm in now.
    If I want Strat sounds.... I've a Strat for that.
    For those who want/need all those sounds, this is an amazing instrument... a Swiss Army knife of guitars.... so many voices.... but there are compromises... not many, but there are.

      The Nashville has a flatter radius so there's going to be in pretty big difference in the way the neck plays . The special has the hotter Texas special pick ups and the Nashville has the lower output vintage noiseless pick ups . Vintage bridge versus modern bridge pretty big difference there . You're really comparing apples and oranges here . It all depends on what kind of sound you're looking for what kind of music do you play if you're looking for a hard rock type of sound I go with the special although the Nashville sounds pretty damn good with an overdrive pedal you really have to play them and see which one you like better . I have to say that the Nashville is a little bit more versatile with the third pick up and the five switch positions. You're not gonna get the real traditional telecaster sound out of the Nashville but you're not gonna get that with the special either because of the hot pick ups.

    Is it possible to mod it to be able to access the bridge/neck sound?

    2:28 How do tall narrow frets = low action? Serious question.

    • @polinalewis1769
      @polinalewis1769 3 роки тому

      the neck is typically a lot wider towards the lower frets making it more difficult to play down there, i had a guitar with narrow frets and it was a lot easier and more comfortable to play lower

      @@polinalewis1769 Ok, thanks. I can see how that makes sense now (tho’ I think you mean *higher* rather than lower - *up* the neck, where there’s less space between them).

    Ca sonne plutôt bien. Mais le gros problème a mon avis, c'est qu'on perd la position intermédiaire de la telecaster...

    Try 2.1mm treble side and 2.8mm bass side on all 3 pickups while holding down the 1st and 6th strings if you're not satisfied with your tone 😃 I hope I helped someone out there.

    I bought one and it sounds fat. It's comfy, so much fun... But maybe using 10s might help in thickness. I'll change them soon enough

    My question is, what about a stratocaster with only two pick ups?

    • @itaintmebabe714
      @itaintmebabe714 5 років тому

      You could just add the neck on mod for that and still have all 3 pickups.
