I agree, really like these vessels ❤
I love you videos you tell exactly what you are using and cost. I just love it…! Other videos go into so many variables and mixing up waxes, wicks. They make my head spin and I just want to not make them. I so love making candles, wax melts and soap. But burn out so easy with most videos. Thank you so much. Straight to point and enjoyable.
I would love to see a video even if it's a short one of your favorite candle fragrance scents, I bought some of the ones you've used in the past and loved them so i trust your taste... just ones that you really love.. 😊Thank you !
thank you! I appreciate you sharing all those details on costs and where to find things.
Thank you for the video like one of the others said this is what I needed to get started
Thank you for helping me with the price and profit 😊
I love this video! You’re very knowledgeable and a great teacher!
Thank you!
Thanks for the information
Absolutely love your video's. I am new to the soap and candle process. learning so much from your videos. These candle vessels are simple but elegant, I purchased them and the rose gold lids.
Thank you!!
This video is exactly what I was needing. I also have Luxury candles but I bought some cute but less expensive vessels knowing not everyone can afford a luxury
one. I wish you would do a video with the more expensive or Luxury candles to see if I'm charging correctly. Thank you, Susie
Awesome information those are very nice and the labels are excellent.
Thank you!
Concerning my demographics, I do about a 75% markup. I live on Nantucket Island during the fall and winter months and the shopper equates low price with low quality. I could never sell an 8-ounce jar candle for $15, now if I increased the price to $35 it would sell. So it greatly depends on where you live and your demographics.
Indeed it does!
So are you saying if you sell for a lesser based on you demographics the customers perceive the candles as a lesser value?
@@thenaturalgemini if you live in a wealthy neighborhood, they most certainly will.
@@thenaturalgemini this is 100% true even for other industries. I photographed luxury weddings in hawaii for a decade. When i dropped prices by $1,000 hoping to gain market share and just generally help people save money...i actually lost market share because multiple people asked "why is it so much cheaper, what's wrong with it?".
I just love your channel
Thank you!
I can only sell candles during the fall and winter months. But I found out that I need to sell them before the seasons get here, especially the holidays. I start selling Fall scented candles in late August and September and Christmas candles around Thanksgiving. No one will purchase holiday candles off-season. Another thing I try not to sell is Bath and Body Scented Candles. Both fragrance and essential oil selling candles.
I agree with you! I have had similar experiences as you!
I love your videos so much they are a very informative. Do you have any advice on concrete vessel making your own vessel thanks again for your response
Thank you! I have seen this done before but am not sure how to make them myself 😊
have you tried 16/17 new wax no 9? Thanks
Thank you for the tutorial! Please tell me how you clean the melting pot and stirring spoon to keep the fragrances from contaminating each other. Thanks!
You wipe it out with a paper towel immediately after you pour it. Then wash with hot soapy water.
This pricing at 60% margin is great for direct sales! But what about Wholesale? Just curious if you have a strategy for wholesale pricing :)
Mam if i pour in jar ..some gets hallow shallow type in between of candle so in such case what to do? I am beginner?
Where do you make most of your sales? Online or pop-up shops? Most of my sales are from pop-up bc people can actually smell them.
Do you ever heat your jars
Great video! The tip about keeping 60% for consistency is great because I’ve had to raise my cost when supplies and shipping went up and I lost customers!
Can you share what size labels you used and where you got them or how you made them?
thank you! I got the labels from onlinelabels.com. I designed them in Canva and then imported the design into the onlinelabels.com software to place them on the circular label that came from them. Those are OL224 2.75"X2.75' circles. Mine are printed on a laser printer and laser compatible labels. Designing them on canva was just a starting point. They look nothing like the original template I was using, lol! It was a process.
@@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany thank you for the reply! I just invested in a laser printer. Still tinkering with it. I hope it pays off! Thanks again!
Thanks for sharing this awesome video. How much would you sell at wholesale?
I am not sure, I have a hard time with wholesale, lol.
Hi! Where do you get your warning labels from and also what company do you use to create your labels for each candle?
Thank you! 😌
Hi, I got my warning labels from candle science. Com. We buy labels from online labels.com and we use their software to import and design the labels.
I love your videos. GLlad I joined your patron . Where did you get your wicks.
Thank you! I got the wicks at 16/17
Thank u so much for your detailed videos. They have helped me so much in my research to start my candle business. I have a question you use the farmhouse jar from candle science which list inside diameter of 2.375 and outside diameter of 3. We use the diameter to decide the wick size for the jar. When I looked on 16/17 wick guide it says that cdn 3 wick diameter is 2.625" for no 7 wax so how did u decide on cdn 3 wicks for the farmhouse jar?
Thank you! All wicks will fit a range of diameters. So I usually test with wicks that are as close to the diameter of the container as I can get. I will test three sizes usually, one that is as close as I can get, a half inch up and a half inch down.
@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany thanks so much. I have 1 more question. With the farmhouse jar, it is listed inside and outside diameter. Which diameter do I use to refer to the wick guide?
@@tamiyoung2036 you are welcome! always use the inside diameter 😊

Thank u so much. Your videos are so helpful. ❤️
Really loved this video !
Great info and very helpful. Gonna buy that watermelon fragrance, question... what type/brand weight scale is that your using ?? Thank you
Thank you! That watermelon fragrance oil is amazing. I am using a nicewell food scale 22 lb.
Thank you so much for responding! You inspire me 😊
Hi, will these candles be for sale on your site soon?
Hello! They are on my website now. 😊
How long have you been pouring candles and making soaps? Do you fin it difficult to handle both products? 60% profit sounds good.
I've been doing both for 9 years. It can be a bit challenging to sell both
@@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany Thank you so much. Did you start out by yourself?
@@valeriesuttonpayne7413 You are welcome, yes, I started my business by myself.
Hi, so you don't used Joy wax anymore?, LOVE all you're videos .
Hi, thank you! I still use joy wax and love it with certain fragrances. I find that the No. 7 has had more consistent hot throw.
@@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany Thanks so much
Where do u order your labels from?
I get my labels from onlinelabels.com
@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany do you make your labels yourself? If so, what type of printer do you use?
@@tamiyoung2036 yes, I make my own labels and I print them on a laser printer with laser compatible labels.
