    This is such a brilliant and original idea. I'm guessing when the candle burns down that low that it will take on some of those colours too as it melts, which will be really pretty! Great idea.

    They are gorgeous... and that's the first time I've seen anyone add the wick after pouring. Do you do this for all wick types? Thanks

    Hi Lovely candles and so easy to get the effect. My only point is you didn't say what temperature you got your wax to, and what temp you added your colour. A the moment I use Craftovator's C3 Wax - would that still work or doe you need to use the specific wax you mentioned in the video. Thank you in advance for your reply.

      Hi cathy, it was a cheapy set from Amazon of about 20 colours. We also use the liquid dyes from two UK candle supplies companies and they worked well too :)

      Put your white wax at the bottom ,,,let it cool, and little dots of color and start to wind the mix around.

    I was going to make candles today! I’m going to try this. I ordered wooden wicks and liquid dyes. Thank you for this fun idea! Do you notice you have less sink holes when you add the wick in last?

    Where you get the utensil you used to add the colors?

    • @SoapSchoolUK
      @SoapSchoolUK  2 роки тому

      You can just use cotton buds or a mascara wand and it works great. Any chemist or drug store should have them

    Some constructive criticism if I may. It would be nice if you went over a list of your supplies at the beginning of the video or had them listed in the description. I had to watch for way too long to learn that you use liquid dye. This ended up being a waste of time for me, but thank you for the video.
