It's nice when you have the right piece of equipment for the job that disc looks like it's going to do a good job of the areas where it wasn't cultivated
did a great job . looks built really well
i worked up north this fall.swathed 2500 ac canola.then the boss got the 555 versatile out of the weeds for me to pull a disc. started airing up tires and blew 2. on the way to the field i was supposed to stop and pick up a disc.when i left the yard everything was kochur.5 miles down the road started smelling something non greta,and smoke comin into the cab.stopped, jumped out to a 2 alarm fire. the e brake was dragging and lit er up.boss just put 2 new tires on.got the fire out.brake fluid puking everywhere.and wanting to light ot fire again.called the boss.he says 'u dont need brakes. go down the other road that has no hill.off i went.found the disc.got help hookin er up ( a little massey ) worked 3 1/4 s of field edges and water runs. sure wish he had a kello bilt with seperate wing controls.cats meow

Oil baths are really nice, my next offset when I replace this 15ft offset white will have them for sure.

kello bilt a disc with 2 seperate sections. 2 hydraulic contols. absolutely fantastic. i used 1 in fsj. i think it was a breaking disc. .heavy a/f. notched. really nice for turning. u bump up ur inside section and leave no ridge.leave the outsidegangs down as u turn.minty. very little left for tractor tracks

Yea that's nice . I have a rome disk and you can see it . Its parked over where you should get some good firewood but you never seem to get past the corner 😄

ive found when discing if up run a slight amount of pressure on the wheels ie keep a bit of wieght on the tires it will track straight.if the wheels r off the ground it seems to float all over
That is true when it's really hard ground...but this disc was cutting deep
I see that in your line up soon lol. I've got a kello 210, 24 feet. Wouldn't be without it. I'm going to upgrade to the oil bath bearing assemblies. Changing bearings on them is a big heavy job

Nice job, spent lots hours pulling 21’krause with dads 145 Versatile not near that fast and disc wasn’t as aggressive for sure! Nonetheless was a good chore and I had heater lol
Versatile 145s are violently Canadian lol. I mean obviously Versatile is Canadian, but the 145 just screams “eh” to me

That would be a nice fall disc in corn stuble one pass then go in the spring with field cultivator and rolling baskets be perfect

Wow! That disk looks like you could leave the plows in the fencerows. Just as you mentioned the root, I was thinking that disk looks like one that would be used to reclaim brush land.
That is brushed land at the end if the video...that's why there are roots there

That worked quite nicely IMO. Ever try a Degelman or Wishek? Both of them make some seriously heavy duty disks.

I have pulled 20 FT. BERCH DISK WITH NEW 20 BLADES WITH A 100 HORSE TRACTORS WITH DUALS NO TRUBLE AT ALL. 5 MI. WITH 1 TRACTOR WE COULD ONLY GO 4.5 THE DISK WOULD DANCE BEHIND IF WENT FASTER
not thru sod unless u sprayed first.i call bullshit. i could barely pull a 16 ft mediun massey with 150 hp white.

Good day Tyson Boy that disc does a beautiful job. What would a machine like that cost?
Now my dad was told here in Ont. never leave fields over winter with disc, it is too flat takes long to dry out in spring. Cultivator leaves like plough for air to get in . Thanks
I'm not sure on the cost but a used 10ft 225 went for 18,500 at the auction today
It did a relly good job! But what does 225 stands for? When I was a trainee they had a 250, wery heavy worked good on claysoil.

@@Northern_Farmer I heard you say 30” blades on this disc. The website is saying 26, 28” optional. The disc ripper is showing the same. I bet the ripper is an animal with 28” notched blades. It could be worth it to rent a 7 shank behind the STX-450 some time.

Other than the 450, what could you’ve pulled it with other than the 9250? I know you’ve got Old Smokey, but I don’t remember the number of it.
9270...the 450 was pulling a wisheck
