No you cannot switch the gangs from front to back. Wish i knew where you were. One reason why would show ya how to take apart the gangs. I worked for KELLOBILT industries for 11 years. Yes i had hands on from the very first cut all the way to the shinny paint fully finished for thousands of them. A Serious and important tip to opperating those discs, you cannot Force them in the ground with the fore and aft shafts. Even though there is threads on them. When in feild mode cutting there should be a min of 2 inches of shaft between the big nut and the base it presses up to. A hint to taking apart the gangs, soak them in water. And when assembling them stand the gang shaft on the solid welded end and drop the blades and bearings over them You can assemble flat but i gonna tell ya you will fight it all the way to the end. You can swap the blades but not the assembled gangs. Another tip always always make sure them gangs are tight and the bearings have oil in them. Those bearings will set ya back some bucks. Like sayin i not just blowin my horn. I do know them discs extreamly well. Congratulations you were very wise to buy one of the greatest discs built.
@@Northern_Farmer the gang hangers are spaced diffrently. When ever i changed blades for some costumers we had a huge tankvwe set the gang in because the dirt gets into them and sets like Lock Tight Cement, so soften it back to mud and the blades and bearings will slip off way easier. Taking apart hang them from the last blade on the welded fixed end. Use gravity as your friend. You will probably have to make a wrench so u can beat it hard with a sledge to remove the nut. We just wrapped a chain around the gang and held it with a forklift tooth, or the bucket of a tractor front end loader while we loosened them. Tightening them is way easier just roll into a block in a knotch on a blade. Please, please paint your threads on the shaft with a real heavy coat of Anti sezie. Or if it needs retorquing or to come apart later on you will cuss. I learned alot in the years i dealt with those monsters. We built two discs that had 4 inch gang shafts and 56 inch 1 inch thick blades it was a special order. D 10 and D 12 catapillars spun pulling them. I so love Kello built machines. So much i even built 4 repica 450 series toy discs. Wish i never sold them
@@Northern_Farmer oh ok yaaa try hold with the wrech, chances are it will wanna dance around alot set like a loader bucket on top. To say keep it tamed down. Good luch getting them apart
I wish it was only third year in a row for us down south at Acadia Valley, we’re on year 5 of drought now and if we get another next year that’ll be the longest drought we’ve had since the 80’s from what my dad said. Hopefully it turns into a 2016 when it was supposed to be dry and turned into one of the wettest years we’ve ever had. Farming is fun haha
@@Northern_Farmer Since the front gang does most of the actual cutting, it seems like having the new disks up front would be the best way to go. They may even wear out at roughly the same time as those on the back now. NO?
spray your pasture and seed it to canola.1 and done.it might be rough but the cost of tillage is extreme. when my cousin sold his cows he bought an older pto sprayer for his pasture and hay field conversion.canola.canola canola.
I looked at a set like that that had been used for recycling asphalt, apparently they just ran her up the road disc down n scooped up the fractured surface
The camera does not show how big and heavy that disc is in person. You should park it next to a regular field disk. An 18" disc blade compared to a 32" disc is a huge difference.
Should replace all the disk and it will really work right them back disk are bad to. Get a hold of andy horrington his site farming fixen and fabrication he ķnows were you can save big buck

@karriefalon7779 it seems on this one it has nuts on both ends ofthe gangs... there are 2 wrench on the machine right now

Sounds like it is Making your tractor work !!
Oh yea
Nice looking heavy disc Tyson
Thanks
Should work good on your new breaking. Also taking out old hay fields.
3:35 I thought it was Shaun wrenching on a piece of equipment😆😆
That disk does a good job rips up the ground nice 👍

We are technically going on year 3 now...no snow to speak of
We had also winter in another half of October, then mellow and now 23.11th snow and minus 3 celsius again...reindeeer country Fimland😄
When you go break the ground where cleared all the trees and alder thickets. Please video because that will be sweet to see how good it does.
For sure
Never received a notification for this one. YT really sucks anymore. Just happened to check out today's video and saw this one as well.
That sucks...sometimes i don't get them either

I think it will be a great disc, with alittle TLC. 👍🏻
I agree
@@Northern_Farmer 👍🏻
@@ihus9950 they are the best tillage peice out there. They do the job they are for. I worked for kello for 11 years
That’s a heavy duty disc. I assembled a couple Krause disc in my younger years. The gangs were all in pieces. Everything thing was in a lot of pieces
Don't swap the blades, just put new ones on the front
I know that now
Good day Tyson Yes the idea sounds good. I think it might work.
Boy that really cuts in. Ask !
Thanks
Whaoo that disc can turn soil over, it is a disc/disc plow, I think it use all the horses of the 210
It does

Could..but my pastures are so rough and need to br smoothed out..
You'll have a lot better luck going round and round to the left . It won't leave a trench or mound that way.
I usually lift it out of the ground when turning
Great video Tyson
Thanks!
Nice disk!
Be using it soon
I looked at a set like that that had been used for recycling asphalt, apparently they just ran her up the road disc down n scooped up the fractured surface
They like to use these on construction lots...I have seen a few 800s wore right out
You're going to like it.
Already do

Thats a good idea
THANKS!
You're welcome!
good stuff
I think the gangs would be changeable Working the wet ground will allow the moisture to sink in not pool on top
Nope they are not unfortunately
I was wondering who swore too hahaha
Haha
Haha
Some like the Steckel blade instead of the notched Gaber industries is good on the prices.
Never heard of it
Steckleback blades. Lasts longer cuts good.
Buy that disc really pulls down the tractor.
Yes it does...way more then my other disc
It's almost like you plowed it
14 inch spacing...plus it was a bit frozen on top
Are the jd plows going to auction then lol
Heck no
How many hp the tractor?
210
👍👍
3:17 cylinder looks to be too small...
Yea something strange there
Nice
Thanks
Why would you not new one’s on front they are the ones that cut just saying
I was wondering if the whole back gang can just be switched
That disc is wore out I have the same one and my 700 versatile barely has anough traction to pull it
How big is it?
It had my 210 spinning with mfd on
All depends on how deep you feel you need to disc.
It’s a 10 foot with I believe 32 or 34 inch discs biggest you can put on it
Should replace all the disk and it will really work right them back disk are bad to. Get a hold of andy horrington his site farming fixen and fabrication he ķnows were you can save big buck
The back are like new...they measure up
