Most impressed to see how you got that out You have the experience to know what to do in that situation, that can't taught This is why you as farmer are farming that land Because there are millions of people out there who cannot do that They might have the money to buy it but they could not do your job And there are lots of folk relying on the food you/we produce
Great video! I've been farming for 53 years, never got a rig that BIG STUCK! Gotta say you kept a positive attitude and did a great job by yourself!! I've been stuck in 200 or 250 horsepower rigs but that was impressive. Keep up the good work, God bless and be safe!!👍
Those rear weights on the John Deere need to go on the front axle because the heavier the drawbar pull, you get a weight transfer from front to back , causing more torque on the rear diff. When free of load , the tractor should be 60% front 40% rear. I specialise in tractor weight balancing. Also, tyres pressure should be no more than 7 psi front and 9 psi rear Hope this helps
The muffled sound of Mike's backup beeper is the same sound as the UPS driver's truck backing up to our house, and it keeps triggering my young Lab into thinking someone is at the door.
Hi Mike. Great videos. You could fill the cart full and use half of it seeding the firm, dry ground parts then do the wet bits with the cart half full. Or rice grows well in wet lands, paddy fields.
I’ve had to pull on our 3320 at a 90 degree angle to the hitch. Only saving grace was that it was muddy enough that the big steer tires just skidded once the hitch maxed out it’s ability to turn. It wasn’t pretty but I got it out with no damage.
You know, you could build yourselves a basket there on the tongue of the drill for the strap instead of carrying it all the way to the rear of the cart and back every time you use it. When I saw you carrying it there at 14:33 all I could think of is one of those guys in a strongman competition trying not to get a hernia while carrying some huge concrete boulder. Thanks for the great videos!
@@mikemitchell2554 I once got stuck when I fell asleep and ended up in a slough at the bottom of a hill. Ended up bringing in a HD Winch Truck from the oil patch to pull me out the other side as had harrows behind a cultivar and going backwards wasn't an option. Definitely learnt my lesson that day as the pay cheque took a beating
mud and tracks don't mix , if they get mud in the centre it'll bugger the gide lugs, then the track has trouble with staying straight in the under carage. only thing that's in your favour is it's not slop . we have country over here we call Sunday country, because it's usually too wet Friday and too dry Tuesday. and we also have red soils that you can not tell if it's wet or dry by the look of it as it doesn't change colour or appearance , makes for very tricky farming at times 😁👍
We finished seeding the day after you took this video I’m interested to see your tired tractors performance we run quadtracs and farm in the same area of your north farm
Good job getting it out of there on your own, that was hard work you did amazing. Excited to see how the John Deer will do in comparisson in the wet ground
You should build a deck on the hitch to store the strap and clevis. That way there isn't so much having to carry it all the way around the drill. Of course the thought of having to carry it may deter the desire to keep pulling when you shouldn't.
Mike, I'm sorry you got stuck but I got to tell you that was the most entertaining video in a while. The speed it up Montage of you trying to get hooked up to pull out and you could tell that you were getting frustrated you could hear your voice go up and down on the speed it up video, it reminded me of Abbott and Costello Who's on First. I hate to see you get stuck but my gosh they are entertaining you should get 100,000 views or more on this video.
@Julie & Denis Clark - Hi ya, I think Mike said that the cart was about half full when he first got stuck, but I understand what you're saying, a little less weight in the cart would most definitely help prevent future stuck issues. 🙂🇬🇧
I would put the strap and chains in the tractor, not the cart, since more weight means more traction... Dad always cautioned me for tilling wet land since it drives the air out of the soil and ends up with less productive soil... But that's in GA...
Sorry Mike, but that's still not "Stuck". Temporarily inconvenienced!?.....absolutely! Which of course, is a complete pain in the Tuchus! But until another vehicle or piece of motorized equipment is involved in recovery....not so much. 1167: 2.....Mud: 0 Now....the only way to give a fair comparison to the 1167, with the Deere....is to purposely seed in the exact same areas as you accidentally took the 1167. The scientific method at work!.....Stay Tuned!!????
i feel you brother . i was cut wheat with one of the x9s . and put it on the frame . on june the 25th . had to call in the stiger thats never good . i always ask myself the same ? if i had slege hammer or a match . witch one would i use lol . and was none of them but the stiger 12wheel . and it almost didnt get it . out of that new spring . here in southern indiana . this is the 2nd i got to get done the planter is running up my a hole
Last year was dry at you and most crops were poor. Now IT rains alot. For us Last year was o... k but this year îs just awfull dry, maby next year will be rainy!

The court found that the EPA used “inconsistent reasoning” in finding that the chemical does not pose “any reasonable risk to man or the environment.” The EPA failed to follow established guidelines for determining cancer risk, ignored important studies, and discounted expert advice from a scientific advisory panel in officially declaring that the weedkiller glyphosate was “not likely to be carcinogenic,” the court found.'
I couldn't tell if the video was sped up or if that was just Mike at speed. Loved every minute of it. Thanks Mike.
Haha 😆 it was sped to 4x and 2x depending on the clip.
another stuck.hey mike what happend to you????😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Look at how many times he’s been stuck lol
The tow strap is an impressive bit of engineering
A second stuck.... You might end up beating the local record at this rate. Great video, thank you

Mike's just pleased to have some more footage! 😀
Still thinking Duals on Ernie with an old ground drive grain drill would be the ticket in those convoluted wet fields. Lighter, smaller.
Mike, I really do admire your tenacity. I would have been looking for help a lot earlier.
I really like the look of the tractor, sad it got stuck. Maybe they needed wider and longer treads.
that ladder going up when not in the tractor would drive me INSANE

I just got off the phone with mr. Bloomberg. I told him about your situation he says if you couldn’t get it unstuck it should grow😆
The muffled sound of Mike's backup beeper is the same sound as the UPS driver's truck backing up to our house, and it keeps triggering my young Lab into thinking someone is at the door.
Great video👍 Mike, this is real farm life and i am enjoyed
Thanks for taking us along
Hi Mike. Great videos.
You could fill the cart full and use half of it seeding the firm, dry ground parts then do the wet bits with the cart half full.
Or rice grows well in wet lands, paddy fields.
The next stuck which we all know will happen may have cart half full so you cover all aspects of how loaded cart is 🤣😂
😀
I’ve had to pull on our 3320 at a 90 degree angle to the hitch. Only saving grace was that it was muddy enough that the big steer tires just skidded once the hitch maxed out it’s ability to turn. It wasn’t pretty but I got it out with no damage.
Very impressive Mike, enjoyed watching the team, (me myself and I)...lol
Please get a shackle to fit your hitch to the master link of your strap. Safe travels. Thanks for the great content 👍✌️
I love that you ignore the stupid stairs and just go around😂 i hate that about our challenger
Your a patient guy! Equipment clean up is gonna take a couple days after all that. Hava a good one.
It is NOT stuck when you can unhook and drive out. That is simply, hung up. It is stuck when you age another machine pull you out.
We run a tow between cart so every stuck needs another tractor
you might want to make a platform on the hitch for the strap .. will save you walking all the way back to the grain cart
My thoughts exactly
You forgot your strap. 😱😱😱
I love videos when you film yourself what you do and explain what you do 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

A big winch on the front the the tractor. Works everytime
Now the question is, how close did you get back into that spot when you resumed lol
A fast burn-out across the field to clear the mud out of the tracks between the vee bars would have helped for traction.
You know you are REALLY STUCK if both the John Deere and Ashtyn's dad Case have to come to the rescue 💪🚜🚜💪
That's very true, thankfully I don't get that stuck! Haha .

Happy Canada Day everybody! 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Good video! high speed pulling!

That really looks discouraging. I'm guessing that after a long stressful day it's nice to go home to your family!
We finished seeding the day after you took this video I’m interested to see your tired tractors performance we run quadtracs and farm in the same area of your north farm
That’s one mighty fine strap you’ve got there sir
Would a bungee cord connect temporarily to the hitch hold back not work?
God bless the Farmer.
We harrowed all of our wet fields a day or two ahead. Made a big difference
From someone who has been in this same situation many times, why would you fill that big cart right full in such wet conditions
were barely able to spray out here because its still too wet, southeastern sask (july 2nd)
Good job getting it out of there on your own, that was hard work you did amazing. Excited to see how the John Deer will do in comparisson in the wet ground
Hang a coat on chain link so if it breaks it sends it into ground.
What crazy person puts on zip ties an doesn't cut the left overs off🤪😂😂

I love he just plays on the drill
Love the hyperloops. Reminds me of the old Charlie Chaplin movies. Especially when you were unrolling the strap.
LOL you'd come out ahead forgetting about that heavy seeder and just run a standard no-till drill up there. Less weight, less stucks
The zip tie thing is a good idea

Great minds think alike, Mike as I typed that previous post before you did the burn-out.
Great awesome video mike, what a muddy mess
Really feel for you !! A lot of extra work .
Put a block of wood or a stick in the hitch latch so it stays retracted.
Don’t fill the air cart so full maybe half would be enough in those conditions 👍🇦🇺🤔❤️😂
@Julie & Denis Clark - Hi ya, I think Mike said that the cart was about half full when he first got stuck, but I understand what you're saying, a little less weight in the cart would most definitely help prevent future stuck issues. 🙂🇬🇧
@@leddielive go back and listen to the first part of video 👍🏿👌❤️🇦🇺love watching and listening to Mike 👍🏿
What a mess!!
What you need is longer straps.
There is "A time to plant" and "A time to harvest".
I would put the strap and chains in the tractor, not the cart, since more weight means more traction... Dad always cautioned me for tilling wet land since it drives the air out of the soil and ends up with less productive soil... But that's in GA...
I wish you could done a timer on the time that you got stuck and the time you got out. Great video thats for the behind the scenes 😀
Hello Mike, when you get stuck like that is it possible to separate the drill and cart to pull them out like that?
16:10 Starting?
lol Hang in there Mike, hoping you get a good crop out of this.
that step on the tractor not going up/down would drive ya bonkers....
Good to hear kitty CAT lugging down in the pull.
What a mess.......I'm looking forward for the results Mike.
Bellissimo video. Bei mezzi. Bravo.👍👍👋👋💪💪🚜🇮🇹
A new farmer from Arkansas and I really love the videos
Thanks 🙂
Happy Canada Day Mike!!!

New and improved tow between😂
Hello Mike great videos thanks for sharing
Answer to that wet conditions, i guess would be smaller drill..
yes or replace the tractor with a bulldozer LOL
I’d don’t know How u can even think of filming in that situation. Lol. Awesome video mike
Good gracious unplug that backup alarm.
Fast working Mikey 😂😂😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
So much for tracks being the best thing since rubber tires.
Should build a strap/rock box for on the drill hitch hope you were able to do all you could and more importantly stay safe doing it.
Michael I must say, that your patience with challenging situations, i.e. sticks etc is absolutely amazing, good work. Best Wishes Graham
I would say Mike needs a holiday with family and the Maverick after this mud fest.
i feel you brother . i was cut wheat with one of the x9s . and put it on the frame . on june the 25th . had to call in the stiger thats never good . i always ask myself the same ? if i had slege hammer or a match . witch one would i use lol . and was none of them but the stiger 12wheel . and it almost didnt get it . out of that new spring . here in southern indiana . this is the 2nd i got to get done the planter is running up my a hole
Maybe don't fill the cart . More time filling and less time getting unstuck. Easier on the equipment to.
I was thinking the same thing that big drill and cart is about the worst thing you could have out in those conditions.
He needs to start using the R2s we use down here in south Louisiana. Haha
Tracks are JUNK in the mud
I was also thinking half loads might be the ticket..
I think you need to start duck farming on that land :)
I like to do this really good trick on our farm, don't get stuck in the first place! I failed 2 times this spring lol
Hey Mike, you need a winch of some kind. Something like you see on the back on the combine to draw the table in.
brutal amount of work on your part Michael
Need a spot on the hitch to put the tow strap for storage.
No wonder you’re tired, you’re working so fast lol
It would have made for a good YT video if that drill was rolling backwards down the hill 😅
Oh crap look at all the mud on that tractor!!
I think you should've used a smaller drill up there but then what do I know
Looks like a lot of Equipment for that size track machine, maybe it’s time to upgrade to a Red Quad Trak ?
I am really looking forward to the cleaning video of this really really dirty machine :D
"Easy, Easy, Easy" Mike your giving me a damn panic attack lol 😆
Speedy Gonzales going up and down the Tractor 😂😂😂
You need a Yankum Rope, for situations like this. It's a conetic energy rope.
Last year was dry at you and most crops were poor. Now IT rains alot. For us Last year was o... k but this year îs just awfull dry, maby next year will be rainy!
MIKE get some kinetic energy ropes for goodness sakes
May as well hook both tractors together and send it
Hey Mike. Make sure all your big fuel tanks are full.
It's not easy hey Mike
