The new merchandise thing has really been cramping our style due to time... But it's all in and I do believe it's all up on the website now, be sure to check it out!
We have some other things planned for ya but are running out of hours in a day. Stay tuned and thank you for your patience. 🙂
Ps: Mike models when Ashtyn brings out food and Chapel for tractor rides 🤷♂️😂🤦🏻♂️

Maybe you can extend the fertilizer tubes further to the ground for the next season. So the Nitrogen doesn’t stick to everything.
Leave it to the wind yet 😆
Its so cute! And at the same time a huge drill by our standards here in Germany
True lol. What are you accustomed to? Like 3 meter to maybe 6m?
Fabricate 12” long drop extenders for fertilizer nozzles, so fertilizer drops below tool bar & not on it.
Interesting to see all those gears turning by that long chain, at first glance it reminds me of some kind of Albert Einstein space time planetary tracking device. Good to see Ashtyn & baby Chapel in the tractor, motherhood ain't easy so great to see her out in her field seeding. 😀🇬🇧
That's the drill I used! With midrow banders and a 5440 cart. Your 724 would struggle to pull that lol
Mike
We do snow removal and fertilizing in the Midwest. To help stop corrosion we wash everything with a neutral wash but what I think helps the most is taking a couple gallons of penetrating oil and spraying the heck out of all the equipment.
Awesome video thanks for sharing ❤️
awsome content man, absolutely love watching your videos. thank you for taking the time to video alot of your busy everyday life, your kid has a awsome father!! take care man🤙
That's a handy little drill!!
great to see it a family day out
I love when he gets out and plays on the drill
Somebody has taken very good care of this drill.
This seems a much better drill for the conditions
How does Ashtyn and Chapel like the big Fendt 2 track? Air drill is doing a real nice job in the low spots. Thanks for another very informative video Mike!
god love mike, no go pro all phone cam action shots, keep on rocking man awesome video as always.
Mike, when you were riding on the cart, it was really interesting to see how the drill reacted as Ashton turned the Fendt. Instead of a gradual turn, it almost pivoted to stay behind the 2 track. Learned something new today.
And did I see the beginnings of a grain bin foundation at the yard in your last video?
As a farmer from Europe I find it crazy how you guys treat your land. No winter crops for anti erroding? Only artificial furtilizer? It’s really factory farming over there. Crazy how many rules we have to follow and the freedom you guys have. Enjoy it while it lasts. Great videos and locations mike and family. Keep it up.
The extreme climate up there makes a big difference.
There isn't time in the non frozen season to grow a cover crop, nor is there water for it.
And since it's frozen from just before planting to harvest, erosion over the winter isn't a big issue.
they arent real farmers
ferry great small drill Nice
Every now and again we luck out buying used equipment. Looks like you and Ashlyn did with this seeder. Good On Ya!
How nice it works all together á 😃
You need to get a couple of tandem trucks to use to fill that5710 drill.
You like a good challenge Mike. You should try pulling that drill with Ernie!
Great video Mike
After you wash it let it dry for a few days and then paint/spray/cover heavily with oil. Its how I get rid of my drain oil. looks like crap but helps suppress the the rust
I love the huge tractor and babybourgault
i remember mike back in the 90s when i first stated driving simi's i went down a dead end street with a set of doubles it took me a bit to get out of that mess.
Anyone else want to see this on the 724 just because it’s cool?
Equipment that is basically depreciated out and making you money. I think that is my favorite equipment.

Thank goodness you don't really have to worry about rows when you're harvesting the crops you grow unlike with corn where we would probally lose all of that ground due to harvesting issues with the rows.
Put paired row openers on it and put the fertilizer in the ground where it belongs
Yes get an aftermarket low profile hopper from “airseeder hopper”. They have them for deeres and flexi coils. It seems like it would work on that auger too but I’m not sure
We have a 724 sure would love to see it on that drill and see how it performs
It doesn't do awesome 😬 haha
@@mikemitchell2554 I was thinking we've a Horsch pronto 6 DC drill fully loaded about 9 tonnes easily pulled on the flats but you feel it on the hills
After you wash it let dry and soak it down in 25 percent hydraulic oil and 3/4 diesel fuel blended in a hand sprayer soak everything down real good
Little drill....ha ha ha
....you dont get them in that size in Denmark 🤣🤣🤣
I wonder if the former owner who put the fertilizer drops on also added the wide sweeps to help bury the fertilizer.
Huge tractor, wee little cart :D
Mike & Ashtyn, still congratulations with your day of marriage July 7th, last Thursday.🎂🍰👍
Urea isn't as quite corrosive as some other nutrients(maybe not a practical difference) but aside from rust you loose a huge amount of N to evaporation if it sits on the soil surface for even a few days. Like 50% N loss per week in warm growing weather. actual loss here depends on percentage mixing by the shovel openers and rain after application. AmmNitrate doesn't have the evaporation issue but nitrate is quicker to leach (but plants also suck up the nitrate preferentially)
Ammsulfate costs a bit more per N but supplies S(maybe too much S) which is needed in the soil about 1:10 with N and has neither the evaporation nor quick leaching issues.
I imagine any local farmer passing by, and seeing a huge tractor pulling a 40 foot drill, might think, perhaps this guy has the finances to indulge himself, in driving large tractors!!
Morning
Total area on the drill you can clear it in the settings
We reset it at the start of each year
I'd say that's what the previous owner did, I'd say they did 1100ac last season
Bet the 1050 with duels would have been awesome on this little drill but can't have all the toys
Get a 5 gal pail of undercoating oil and have at it. Pretty cheap protection program
Sounds like you are going to need to upgrade that toolbar to have wagon steer
Seeding wheat in northern Saskatchewan on July 8? How many days to maturity? When is the usual 1st frost up there?
Mike, for next season could you drop the fert spreader plates down away from the frame? I guess you might need to make some different shape plates to get the same spread width.
Nice set up . Big power small drill . You adapt to the north just fine . How is the new cottage coming along ?
Mike
Keep an eye on the shanks, I had the same outfit and my shanks start breaking, it turned out to be where they stamp the shank it was a weak point.
They replaced all my shanks for free at the time
You should to a competition with the big 100’ drill and the little drill in hills.
Is this a scam?
@@tannerwallman9463 yes
He doesn't have the 100ft drill, I believe, only the 84 footers. He once said none of his tractors could pull the 100ft one in his hills.
Looks like mikes gunna need to find a couple old 5 tons for filling the little drill now!
“Because that 1167 would drag it through, without wheels” lol yea only a little overpowered
Yow Mike,
Not related to planting but related to harvest.
I would like to see you demoing a 60' Honeybee if you happen to be demoing a class 10 combine this harvest season.
If you do so and to my knowledge, you will be the first N American farmer to run a 60' head.
As they say go big or go home instead of playing with those dinky 50 footers-:)
Should have a promising fall with the rain you're getting right now.
I would like update on the whole yard up north.
Oh come on Mike where's your sense of adventure get ol ernie dualed up and get those discers overhauled and seed the sloughs with ernie 🤣
We're all playing farming simulator and admiring this mans equipment and he's playing FS22 IRL using the biggest tractor for every impliment lmao.
Put it on the Fendt, Mike :)
Instead of broadcasting your fertilizer, would you ever consider going to a side band opener vs those big spreads you bought it with?
Might want to let Ashtyn do the seeding with that one. Switch from amateur to professional hour. If you want something done right then simply let the wife handle it.
He may of just used the broadcast kit for canola and grasses and put the fert down the boot
Hey Mike, what date is it. Isn’t it almost time to stop seeding and start combining down south?😜
your total acres is also resettable. think of it like total acres drilled for the year. field acres is pretty self explanitory
Do you want some mrb’s to add to that drill? We’ve got some that we took off our 5710 series 2
You should see if you could add mid row banders
I think it would be crazy if you put that drill on fendt 724 i woukd love to know how well or bad will it oreform on it
I knew you told in a video that you are gonna seed shallow, but here some of the shanks aren't even turning soil. Let's see how it will look when it's grows. Hope you have some drought in the north and some rain in the south.
Hopefully the MAJOR THUNDERSTORM & DOWNPOUR that hit west central Saskatchewan earlier this morning stayed away from east central Saskatchewan so you can actually do some tree planting today otherwise your road trip from the south farm on your wedding anniversary could simply be chalked up to quality family time in the vehicle.
The ducks are happy but
4 x 4 mode is now mandatory when not on paved roads.
We luckily didn't get the tornadoes that unfortunately hit south central Alberta yesterday.
Your north farm area also saw a tornado hit a couple of farm yards in the Foam Lake area where MAJOR DAMAGE was done to shops & bins but luckily no lose of life.
Quick Dick McDick produced a nice video showing the community support with the clean up.
Since you not planting deep will the back tires be picking up seeds
Check phos auger mechanical area to see if auger or sump is plugged.
724 and a fert spreader. That you work you go though seed like it’s nothing tho…
Thought the same for wet spots, but needs to bring the truck and conveyer to the fields
on average how far do you think you run/walk arround a day?
What happened with the water retention pond you dug this winter. Can you give an update
Last he said anything about it, it was completely full and that was before all the rain.
Whats the progress on the grass you are discing
Could you just spread the fert on with a spreader and just fill both tanks with seed???
He pointed out in the last vid that the second tank can only go to the fert nozzles and it would only be possible to broadcast like that.
Sure could
move the fret deflecters under the frame instead of on top that way it will not hit the frame
overkill is the only way to mud farm
Did most of this flood out again after the rain
How many acres on your northern farm.
Lot of weight to wing up
I bet mikes farm would be and good map for fs22 @Mapper Paradise
Jump auger needed
Those splash plates are a terrible idea, a dual shoot and deep banding urea wouldn’t have been a stretch from there
By the way Mike . Never heard again about the airfilter in the fendt . Faulty sensor or its that good?
Thats a very good, and I don't know now 🤔.. I believe they replaced the sensor but did they do anything with the air filter tho 🤔
Hello Mike big videos è fendt 1167 MT big 💪😜🇮🇹
A pair of Walkie Talkies may possibly make loading the seed drill easier and then later give them to Chapel to have some fun with.
Dirt frigger!
👍👍👋👋💪💪🚜🔝🇮🇹😎
How many acres do you all farm
40,000+ and ever growing.
😀😄🤣🙂🤣😄
You have a skip on that corner wouldn’t pass on our farm
Just use your sp auger for filling. Way easier
Sorry I comment before finishing the video
Mike how the air intake holds in this tractor? Given that it hasn’t a separate one like the case and jds.
How many acres do you and your wife have up there?
Mike, please clean your windows.
Mike i got a message today saying you wanted to talk to me on a telegram is that real or did you get hacked like other UA-cam channels
🤔 That was not me 🤷♂️
@@mikemitchell2554 I didn't think so thought it was strange . Just wanted to ask and let you know about it .
