I think absolou is better than the current formulation of Aventus for sure. I can’t really speak on the og formulations from 2010-2016 because I wasn’t into Aventus back then .
Will give it a sample out of curiosity. Yeah on board with the 75 ml size. Much prefer the 4.2’s of yesteryear. Still have my 2012 batch. It has aged like a fine wine. Thing is an absolute Beast performer.

My jams, thus far are Drakkar Noir, Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, Azzaro Pour Homme, Cuba Black, Eternity for Men, Polo Green. My wife likes the smell of Cuba Black so much she said she could drink it. During his morning routine you can spot Caron pour un homme (right bottom shelf), YSL pour homme (center middle shelf), and Oscar de la Renta Por Lui (left top shelf). There's another one next to the YSL but I don't recognize the bottle. It's hidden behind something else.
I have sold all my sweet fragrances..i used to like them early in my fragrances journey but my nose got tired of them. I'm now left with freshies as i live in a waarm climate almost year round

Yeah you must be picking up on the Aventus with it. Royal Oud isn't even remotely sweet, especially in the opening. It's pink pepper and cedar with citrus in the background, drying down into creamy woods.
Fantastic review! The juice is really good (obviously OG is king) and performs well (with practically every Creed, I usually overspray a bit). I'm also not a fan of 75 ml, but what can you do. Now, people don't understand it's not One Million where you can buy a bottle after bottle. This is high-end, limited stuff. Overpriced? Look at Tom Ford, for example. Some comments online are just silly. There's no need to hate if if one has no money and/or no taste.
Pineapple is listed in the notes. I have it too and don’t regret it. I picked mine up at Dillards on the way to a golf outing, and put on just 2 sprays and people smelled me all round, and liked it. Of course, just like all 3 Aventus versions, I go nose blind to it within seconds. Literally seconds.
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey I think some of the hate around Creed and specifically Aventus is people go nose blind to the dna, and think it isn’t pushing out when it actually is. I’ve gotten compliments wearing aventus 8-10 hours after putting it on.

It’s more about the smell at this level of scent 8 hours for anything is decent these days but yes it’s an expensive collector cologne so I get it
