It’s not worth it. They are a few Creeds that are arguably worth half the money they demand.
But then how many highly-priced fragrances are? They all utilize the illogical side of human psychology that wants things out of reach of the masses.

See, this is where the crazy part of our hobby comes into play, we need to learn that it's ok to say NO. You illustrated a great thing- sample, test and then make a decision. Yeah it can be a great scent, 9.5/10 but we dont have to get it all especially if we have to make a decision between paying a bill and getting in debt to pay a bottle
I don’t normally pay retail for fragrances but I did pull the trigger on this one. I was debating between aventus and aventus Cologne which was just ok for me. This one won my heart despite the price. It is definitely a 10 out of 10 for me. Great video as always!

Your best video so far. I tried it, i dont get any pineapple from this fragrance. Dark smokey fruits in the opening. And very nice drydown which does remind you of sauvage elixir, but its not the same. I do find it good but not for the price. Even 300$ is too much but hey, if people are still buying TF oud wood for 300$ than this is def worth that money
For once I feel lucky living in Europe. We even get 10% off our first order at Creed, so I "only" had to pay 290$ which is still the most I ever payed for a fragrance but I really wanted this in my collection.

There is no doubt if I had the dosh 💰 I would have purchased this one immediately. I just can’t justify the cost. I will probably treat myself to a 5ml decant if I can get one. Surprised Ross isn’t going for a full bottle but I understand why.
If I was made of money, I would purchase. Because I’m not, I’ll be buying a cheapie type clone and maybe a decant.

I got mine yesterday, I sprayed it at 7pm and could smell it at 7am faintly (also did the same with Aventus OG and could smell a weak faint smell at the same time), I concluded it is stronger than the OG. It does smell good, but not as good as the OG, I did not smell pinneaple at all. It does smell like Sauvage Elixir mixed with the OG Aventus, more on the aventus side. Aventus Cologne smells better than both, but is weaker, as I tested it with the OG aventus. Nothing out of this world though, I got it for collection purposes.
I agree with you...Creed Aventus cologne is amazing. I'll just wait for Armaf to clone this new one 😋😎😂

I usually wait a year on anything like this. I’ve also found that with a little experimenting, I have come up with some absolutely amazing new scents by combining scents that I already have. Love the channel and this guy is OG.
Did you notice that your carded sample, just like mine, has a slightly different Creed logo than usual? There are only simple lines in the crown where there should be a line with a different pattern. It’s clear to see when compared side to side with an older sample, along with some other small differences on the back of the card. It just makes me wonder if these samples are original, even though all the ones I’ve seen so far on eBay look exactly the same.

Kind of the vibe I'm getting from the reviewer community. I've said you could purchase Aventus Cologne and Sauvage Elixir spend less and layer them.

I’m getting Aventus Cologne mixed with John Varvatos Vintage. Which I’ve heard no one mention that comparison. Imagine John Varvatos Vintage getting its spices upgraded to Creed Viking quality. Mixed with Aventus cologne. But because of the JVV Viking spiciness it turns the aventus cologne fruitiness to a darker composition similar to the dark fruits of JVV. Then a dry down of the same mixed with a minor semblance of Sauvage elixir. It’s a beautiful scent. But it is a designer style because of the muted projection JVV Viking aventus Sauvage elixir combo. If John Varvatos Vintage released an Elixir, this is what I’d expect.
I almost pulled the trigger from Fragrancenet when it was $348 but then overnight went $410, and even at $348 I was having a tough time - maybe in the future but yeah, a little too much to justify, for me. Spot on review
Damn I never seen it at $348. I ended up getting it at $410. I seen people charging $65 for 5 mil decant so even if you sold some for $50 you can make your money back. I have so many decants that I haven't even emptied from years ago that it doesn't even justify me buying an expensive cologne, but I bought it for the price because I figured I could sell some
Picked up a few of the carded samples. I gotta say this is one where the price tag kinda broke my heart. I do think it smells wonderful, like really great. But I just cannot see the value at $400-$545. Fantastic release, tho.
How does it compare to your favorite Armaf limited edition Parfum?
Since I don't have a bottle of the original or cologne in my collection, I went ahead and picked up a bottle of Absolu at $348. Whether I actually use it or hold onto for down the road, we'll see.
All that aside, I do much prefer Absolu over the original.
@davidpascual9571 Fragrancenet posted it for $348 when it went live. In 2 hours it jumped to $408 and now I think it's around $468.

Here's the thing: I never actually cared much about Creed, simply because my "absolu" limit for a frag purchase is 150-180 dollars and thats The absolute maximum i will ever spend on one bottle, so that puts me in many niche fragrances reach, like PDM etc, but over that it would have to be either liquid gold or something that you need to laser out of your skin.I just think that after a certain amount of money there are many good frags that are perfectly wearable and good enough for ANY occasion.

@@Tonixxy I'm not. I can always decant if i absolutely need a frag for a few wears or even just buy good clones. Only experts can tell the difference anyway. Most ppl just smell something nice.

Other than getting a sample of it I will have to wait until Fragrance World releases their version of it and have you tried their version of Fahrenheit Parfum called Renhiet it's more sweeter but really good nonetheless

Picked up a few bottles today after smelling it in store. At open it’s very Smokey and subtle, dark notes of grapefruit - about 15 minutes in it has 3-5 minutes of sauvage elixir but that’s gone fast leaving you with HEAVY smoky Aventus. Best new fragrance in years imo

I think this review is spot on. Great scent but in all honesty it’s just too much for what you get. I’m not above splurging on expensive scents and do probably too often lol but at this point this just isn’t special enough in my opinion to warrant that price. It’s too close to regular aventus which is already overpriced. Unless you just absolutely LOVE aventus you can get at least equal quality and a bet profiles for less than half the price. Personally I think you can probably get Hacivat or Orchid Man for $90 and be satisfied.
I was able to grab a bottle for an out the door price of $402.00. Good review, I was debating on getting it but for its limited release factor and the discount I was able to grab it at I decided to add it to my collection. I haven't opened it yet so I might let it go in the future. Time will tell.
Wear it
I got my nose on this a couple of days ago. Is it nice? Yes it is. Is it $600 for a 2 1/2 ounce bottle Nice? Absolutely not.
It's always better to try on skin. iv been caught before trying different testers in shops on the paper. They were nice on paper and awful on my skin

Aventus Absolu is so good, that sample will last a while. It's such a beautiful fragrance its unreal. The best part about cologne is you wear it for others. I know many of us will get to enjoy this fragrance.
Unless someone is making well over 150K a year, I dont know who's buying this.
People keep bringing up it smells like Sauvage Elixir in the dry down however I get Apex by Roja, which to be fair also is compared to Sauvage Elixir. Surprised no one else has picked up on this…

Price sucks but man this is phenomenal stuff. It’s a chameleon of a scent that changes throughout the wear. You can pick out notes if that’s your thing but still stays a cohesive blend.
Niche perfumes typically nuance. This video would've went very differently if it didn't nuance. They don't get bonus points for the expected lol

For around $265, free shipping, I'd be all over this but $350, or $389 for a 2.5 is kinda crazy. I grabbed a sample and got a good compliment the second I put it on. It's still not worth it.

Got my bottle in today and in my opinion it’s 🔥 open up with that juicy pineapple and quickly transitions to a spicy woody scent with the pineapple lingering around

They should just replace regular Aventus with this. It's nonsense that it's limited edition and a smaller bottle. Everyone complains about Aventus being watered down, this strikes me as a callback to earlier versions of Aventus.

Tested this today in Breuninger Germany. It smells 99% like my Creed Aventus 2020 decant, nothing more nothing less, waste of money. I really think you should be crazy to get this. If you don't have Aventus, maybe...NO! NOT MAYBE! Just get Aventus OG, it's cheaper and still way too expensive if you ask me. Also, a funny thing, in the first minutes (at least for me) this smelled like an Aventus clone like Afnan NOI or Esencia EDP. Oh yeah, and the longevity is like max 4 hours, Avalanche Vintage from PP is way more interesting than this.

Ok went little stronger and did 3x sprays on wrist. Going on 4 hours now. Still smell it when I put my nose to it but it’s not lingering like I would really like it to. I moisturized and put Vaseline jelly on top. I really love the scent and thinks it’s amazing. If you have the extra money and want a bad ass one in the collection. Look no further

I blind bought it based on UA-cam reviews, and just hated it 😑 It has this super heavy pink pepper like notes that are so cloying and headache inducing. Buyers remorse 😢

UA-cam reviews are a resource to help point you in the right direction on scents that peak your interest for you to try for yourself
