When I wore it in the 90s it would last all day. Another victim of the hysteria around protecting us from deadly poison chemicals 🙄 like oak moss extract. Sadly so many notes that really anchored the heavy-hitters and kept them fixed in place for many hours are either gone, or used in such small quantities that the effect just isn't the same.
I am with you I think the older formulation definitely lasted longer.. Funny thing is the wife and kids hate Quorom so I can't wear it as often as I wish.
Here on the Southside of Chicago, Lomani is very popular with men +50 years old. The biggest reason why is because it’s from France so it’s “classy.” I’m sure the dirt cheap price helps, too. Great video. Thanks!
@@aromafromheaven I like Lomani, too! I have three vintage bottles I bought for peanuts. Great casual scent for running errands, walking around the neighborhood, etc.
Speaking of urinal cakes, have you ever tried Pinaud Lilac Vegetal? I enjoy challenging fragrances, and Im trying my best to like that particular aftershave (I love Clubman Original) - it's hard work. Great vid, mate. Enjoying this series.
It’s among the best cheap scents in ever u agree, it made this list only because its so cheap i know it can be polarizing. However i will always promote Lomani pour Homme
The iris overload in Dior Homme is actually offensive to my nose. I repelled at first sniff. I don't want to reek of lipstick, and so many people love this fragrance. Had to give mine away immediately, and was happy that my friend took the mini bottle I had. The vintage Dunhill for Men and Kanon are on my wish list so perhaps I'll have to reconsider. Thanks for sharing.
I have Quorum and Lomani. They're two different sorts of old-school soapy scents that I enjoy wearing from time to time. I also have Kanon for Men. I don’t think I'll be wearing it much, even decades from now (if it hasn't spoiled). I don't know what to do with it.
Poor Dunhill for Men, its not bad if you know whats coming. If it gets discontinued the prices will be horrendous because they just dont make 1930s style frags anymore, unlike when a 1970s frag gets discontinued but there are a handful of others that can be had
Only one I've had out of this was Lomani back in early 2023. It smelled pretty damn good off the top, like Drakkar, I thought this is a keeper. About a half hour later, it started smelling like crushed up powdery flinstones childrens vitamins, then it died off. Gave it away to a friend. I know to stay away from the last one, cause it smells like poo 😂 Thanks for the video man, keep em coming 👍
hey bro sorry i was rude about your cool water video. it's one of my favorite classic frags and one of my Dad's favorites from the old days. i like to joke around and troll but i apologize i should not have been rude to you like that. truth is i have watched many many of your videos and i am a strong supporter of your work. thanks and keep up the good work
@@fodads Nah, don't be sorry, he didn't even get back with ya, he insults peeps in his videos, calling them losers, and behind in their child support, pay attention to what he says. He's a spoiled dickhead, who probably has his parents wipe his ass. 👍
@@fodads Don't apologize and kiss 😘 his ass. He isn't worth it. He calls people losers, and puts people down who owe child support. Kelan is a spoiled prick, surprised no one else can see it. He says he appreciates the interaction yet, doesn't get back with everyone.☕✌️😎
Adidas dynamic pulse is awesomely bad, awesome inoffensive gym fragrance, but also awesomely boring, like you walked through the park on an “ok” day, right after you had an “ok” workout on your way to date your “ok” girlfriend at McDonald’s, finish up with an uneventful shopping trip at Sam’s club. A day full of so much potential, with a pleasure that can best be described as “mild”
I have the first three on this list and agree with your summary of them. Also have a sample of the Dior Homme 2020, its just Bleu De Chanel with vetiver rather than grapefruit. And, at that price, a total rip off. Go Kelan 😄
I would disagree about vintage quorum. It’s oakmoss in the drydown is on the same level as vintage polo green. Also lomani ph is a hidden gem, way better than current drakkar
Try Classic Match Drakkar, from Belcam's, and Dakar Al Rehab, if you want a good Drakkar Noir experience. Lomani Pour Homme is short lived, in my experience.👍
The Dunhill urinal cake scent sounds like a civet note (which isn't listed) though the jasmine and leather notes could combine to give this urinal impression...The Lomani PH has an off putting camphor scent which I don't care for so I see your point. The Kanon was much better back in the 1970's; it now seems to have a whole other character now from my more recent formulation - I seldom reach for it. I still reach often for the Quorum, I like it's old school charm immensely, I haven't given up on it.
So, Dunhill, Quorum, Lomani, Dior Homme 2020 and Kanon for men....Dunhill was made like in 1934 (I would keep it in my collection) different era different sensibilities (It's 1 spray on the wrist 1 on the neck). Lomani I have and it so WEAK, not bad just not there, right? Dior Homme I don't have this, however the one to have is Parfum or Intense 2011....(smell of cacao). Kanon for men is a "Dad" cologne and I was surprised at how much you didn't like this. I truly found it smelled like a friendly dad or Uncle. Fragrantica likens it to Denim, Chaps, Brutal and Royal Copenhagen and are all really "Dad" colognes....
I might keep Dunhill for men just because I don’t think it’s made anymore. I love Lomani pour Homme but it seems it’s also hated due to the harsh opening same with quorum. But Kanon was just awful I love denim and brutal and Kanon smells absolutely nothing like those two at all
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey I agree, Fragrantica is sometimes wildly off (as far as smell) but I think they were going for genre (Dad colognes) however, what I do think it smells closest to is Stetson Cologne for Men, even as far as sharing quite a few notes. To be fair, none of these colognes are "Masterpieces". Too strong of jasmine can put me off (which Stetson doesn't have), but the rest of the notes in the mix are in almost all the old school colognes.....The other thing I would add is that my tastes changed over the years, so I don't chuck stuff too quickly and sometimes I like stuff upon revisiting. One particularly awful cologne though, is Cadillac for Men, absolutely unwearable.
Dior Homme 2020 had potential. It seems bland but with repeated wearings you get whats great. The elemi and woods. Its understated but solid and masculine. Performance unfortunately is beyond terrible. Maybe a half hour of very modest projection and then disappears in an hour. Probably the worst performing designer from a respected house in the last 5 years.
Awesomely bad ! We love it . Never fails to amuse .. but , Quorum .. really ? maybe it IS awesomely bad and im getting old. I am old. Your description of Aramis, in the first one was awesome, and i agree. Actually i have smoked cigarettes every day for 50 years too so I’m firmly in the Quorum camp and refuse to stop wearing it. I have gone off many ‘old school’ scents. Dior homme 20 20 - what a disappointment- Christian Dior selling out. I’d like to get my nose on the ‘sewage’ one … hhmmm, … rather wear Zino !?? damn ! Platinum egoiste which i thought soo classy and sophisticated smells OLD and stuffy now.
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey What happened there was Joey went out smelling like a man. It is also the closest that animal Blundetto will ever come to knowing what heaven smells like...😇
I have loved Dunhill For Men since first trying it 35 years ago and it's been in my rotation ever since. Quorum was a favorite for a long time as well. When I think of incredibly horrible fragrances, the first one that comes to mind is Bijan, followed by Van Cleef and Arpels Pour Home. Just my 2¢
Bijan was listed on Part one of this series hahah and dude I agree with VC&A pour Homme it smells like a dusty waiting room with dead roses that have been on display for the past 30 years it’s awful lol
One man's trash is another's gold

Quorom is AMAZING. I wish it lasted longer.

😂😂😂😂😂 I don’t even know what to say. Your description of the scents are absolutely hilarious. 😂😂
Your painting of what Quorum reminds you off is spot on 🤣 keep up the great content from the UK!
Props for not being a purist and enjoying newer reformulations as much or more than the vintage ones.
In many instances the current form is just as good and always going to be in perfect condition. Vintage is awesome when it’s well preserved though

Great work
Great review Kelan, have had bottles of Lomani & Antonio Puig Qorum, like them both, plus they are very reasonably priced, many thanks 🔥👍🏻
Lomani is amazing. its cheap, but its for the price its unbetable
Same here, I love it.
