It came with the black one - I think it depends on which color of the grinder (black or white) and also the power (100-120V or 220-240V). As I live in Austria, i bought the 220-240V version and they told me, that they come with a black metal cup now! (It should be the most recent version available).
I believe the latest versions of the gen 2's are now black dosing cups instead of the silver. I just purchased the DF64 Gen 2 and that's what Espresso Outlet mentions is the Manufacturer updated with the black dosing cup and silicone wedge instead of the dosing collar
Hi! I think I used grind size 10 in my video. It totally depends on the coffee beans you are using though! I have used around 5 different coffee beans with the grinder yet and I was always between grind size 8 - 12
I‘ve ordered the grinder now too! Thanks for the short review
You won‘t regret it!
I like the design of the grinder aswell! Some people find it oldschool/industrial, but I think its beautiful
Great video, i love the grinder
Thanks mate!
I would love to see a longer review with different grinds (filter coffee etc)
Oh and also I wanns see the ascado steel duo review
I will do one in the near future!
Beautiful grinder
how come you didn't recieve the sliver aluminium dosing cup? i thought it was standard in the df64 gen 2?

I wish you had shown what grinding number you used for this video.

@@LukeMakesCoffee Amazing as it is I needed to set mine to 23 ! Otherwise, it was overextracting a big deal.
Oh wow! I guess you use VERY fresh coffee beans? How many grams of coffee do you use and what size basket?
@@LukeMakesCoffee I am using 18 grams and I roast my own coffee. 60% arabica, 40% robusta.
Wow it seems there are many people that roast their own coffee - I have to try that out in the near future!
The sound is loud, but acceptable. But the grinder is totally worth it - such a good grinder
True 👍🏼
I also want to get that grinder
It‘s totally worth it
do you like the grinder so far? 😊
Yes! It‘s a lot of fun and produces great and consistent coffee
