As someone who grew up reading Flash comics, my favorite aspect of him is the legacy and familial connection that the mantle has helped create. Almost every speedster in the DC universe are a part of a family the Flash helped create, and the mantle gets passed down from generation to generation, seeing how every new holder handles the title. This is best showcased by the mantle swapping from Barry to Wally and how Wally struggles to live up the up to legacy his mentor and father figure left behind. Like a Superhero version of Hamlet.
The flash is my second favorite hero because of all the reasons you listed but my favorite superhero is Spider-Man because 1 I grew up with him but he also showed that anyone could be behind the mask, No matter your background, Your race, Your gender it didn’t matter who you were. If a T-Rex and Cat can become Spider-“Man” anyone can.
The Flash is one of my favuirites (Especially the Justice League Animated/Unlmited Series, same for Batman). But my current number 1 is The Arrow (Mainly the Cw Live Action Arrow, who is similar to Batman). Also, I do need to watch more batman series, and if I can find more Arrow Series too! I love The Arrow because I grew up with them, it inspired confidence, the themes in the Cw Arrow, I loved the writing, and the compassion shown. I love how Oliver develops and his team around him, how he goes through so much but comes out the other side. I love his relationship with Barry and the comparison of the two cities. Talking about how it isn't central city, not sunshine and rainbows- its Star/Starling City, and its dark and full of bad criminals who need to be taken care of. It's just well done. I haven't fully seen it- I watched s1-5, then s8. I initially stopped after s4 (The bad season), but then came back and watched s5 (Epic).
Wally west is personally for me one of my favorite flashes growing up and him being married to linda park with his kids irey and jai west by there side was really awesome and amazing in my opinion.

I’m I’m not a fan of the no kill rule because I think sometimes you have to do what you have to do but for certain characters, I think you can work. Besides, how does no killing manifest as a rule, but paralyzing an enemy so that they can no longer move that’s acceptable?
