Season 1 was definitely peak. The mystery behind the incident 14 years prior, the mysterious 2nd speedster, how Wells was the man in yellow, Barry seeing his future self. I was hooked

Same here. I just thought Flash was a guy who could run really fast and that was it. After seeing all the crazy things he could do with his speed in the show, I was amazed. I wanted more, so I read the flash comics and watched any media that had flash in the them. Or any speedster to be honest. It could be Thawne or Quicksilver for all I care, as long as they were a speedster.
For me, it was 1x06 "The Flash Is Born." The moment when Barry ran 5.3 miles away from Tony and the music started playing, all the way to the point where he landed the supersonic punch, I fell in love with the show and REALLY got hooked. I started watching right when the show came out on Netflix in 2015, and I had no prior knowledge of the flash beforehand. It was a really fun ride keeping up with the show for almost 8 years despite the many errors made
I'm just being honest, but I did too, I also had a crush on Linda. But it's more than that, Linda truly made Barry happy. No offense to Patty in the next season, but I do feel that, if it weren't for specific circumstances, (and I do mean Iris), Linda truly would have been the one for Barry. To marry, to have kids with, and everything.
@azrael_morningstar this fr. Ppl act like s4-6 is the worst thing to grace their eyes buy at least they were watchable bro. They weren't peak writing but it was good. In S7-9 I constantly have my finger over the arrow key to fast forward when I'm not just outright skipping episodes
If I being honest... I fell in love with The Flash in episode 1x09 "The Man in the Yellow Suit". Such a phenomenal episode, maybe I'm really biased but I can't stop watching this episode over and over again. The returning of Ronnie as Firestorm, the fight between Barry and Reverse Flash and so much more. But, like you mentioned in this video, episode 1x15 is also godly!
I literally have a annual rewatch of the show every year it makes me realize that every season is actually good not just the first 3 but I think first half of season 5 and down are the best but I really like season 9 a Lil bit
I will never understand how Barry could choose Iris over Linda She was always one of my favorite characters in the show and in my opinion the best love interest. And its 100% the best episode of this season with Thawne killing Cisco
Its pretty understandable too me, he wasn't in love with her. He always liked Iris but she was in a relationship and couldn't be with her. Ofc Linda was great and a strong but only on her side.
The real reason is iris west and Barry Allen are always together in the comics so it didn’t really matter how compatible the show characters were and how differently they were written it was always gonna be Barry and iris ending up together, which is sad because changes can be made for better from comics too tv but hey ho the shows still some of my fondest memories growing up
Seeing barry fighting that meta that could clone himself was when i fell in love with the show i was 13 years old at the time jeez its already been 5 years
FYI, Don Townsend has been watching every episode of CW’s ‘The Flash’ a few days a week on here (YT) and is now just starting on season 2! He’s a fun reactor who’s perfect for this show & the rewatch with him has been a blast for me, so far! 😉
For me i fell in love with flash in season 1 episode 6, the super sonic punch being a big part of the second half and that being the whole will he succeed? and iris narrating what barry said at the end of the pilot in episode 6 and giving him his name while barry is running was just 👌🏽
When I first watched the flash (it was all a binge watch, the last season at the time was like season 8) I thought this episode was so sick because of the time travel and how everything ends up looping at the end and barry becomes the person he saw while he was running.
You forgot to add that the one thing that also added to this episode is that Barry was the only member that didn’t know Wells was the Reverse Flash the moment he time traveled
I love ur how narrating the tension is It's great you did a well job with that A fun thing I noticed is how this Time Travel never happens again Where instead you go into the past and see your past self and stuff You replace your past self while being in the past. I really love the early flash I thought it was just perfect I try to search up podcasts or anything from the actors too find out what happen to the direction of the show. Why it was the way it was but no answer it's like they didn't care man.
It's crazy that I always bring up to my friends that if the show ended right here it would of been near perfect😂 and you broke down the ep exactly. The show does get really convoluted after the first few seasons
madvocate is actually right though. which sucks because the actual storyline itself and characters are good(at least as good as they can be for a cw show). the action and fight scenes themselves basically flush all of that down the drain by being so braindead and devoid of any logic or consistency.
The flash was always the greatest superhero show in my opinion for me,I fell in love with that flash and green arrow crossover trailer where he’s ruining catching his arrows, and the intro it was perfect it’s what had me brainwashed to watch every episode on repeat, all those part where he’d run where amazing. Nothing will tops this show for me, but with the recent season I feel heart broken how hard it’s fallen I still like them but still it just isn’t the same.
When you really think about it, Barry isn't actually time traveling here. To be more accurate, he actually is reversing time. Since we aren't left with 2 versions of Barry is the same timeline, like we see when he time travels in later seasons, this is something different. He replaces the Barry of that time rather than coexisting. Granted, that most likely stems from the writers either being completely different between seasons, or they just hadn't decided on how they wanted to handle time travel yet.
I have many I don't remember fully but I loved ep 4 with Snart and made me continue the show also when we find out Wells isn't who he says he is by killing to keep Barry's secret but Ep 19 gave me chills the team finding out who reverse flash is was such a mind bender and the show even made me cry when we see barry crying over having to see his mother getting killed again during the final such an amazing tv show 😢
If we go for peak Flash moments I do agree this episode takes the crown, but if IMO the true peak of DC universe moments for me has to be the Gorilla Grood episode, with all the multiverse talk and that ending when they transport Grood to Earth 2 Gorilla city, and you see the camera pan to it... idk why but that made me cry back then, it was like a dream come true to see something that simple yet so meaningful realize on live action... even looking back now and realizing the CGI was awful and how truly bad the show got, well... the CW still managed to give us truly good need moments...
I was 10 years old while season 1 was airing, and didn't know about it until middle of the season. I think I started during a spring break or something, because the only episodes available on the website were 10-14, and it stayed that way for a couple weeks. Having no idea how to navigate the website, I started on episode 14. I had no idea what was going on but it all looked cool, and watching the rest got me hooked.
