Will this fit on a passport 10.5?
I installed these on my Outfitter. First issue the side arms with the floats did not fit into the centre tube. Had to get the file out to make them fit. The buttons that lock the arms in place broke after very little use. They do work well out on the water but the quality and fit is very poor!
Can you install the ama on a Passport 10.5?
Will this work on the Mirage Revolution 13? Got it a couple months ago and looking for some additions.

I got a set. One of the pontoons rubber pipe ends were cut and wont work, bad quality controll!!
I was told by the guys at a Hobie kayak shop near me that this isn’t a good idea but I wasn’t sure why. I would think that since it isn’t carrying any weight besides the air filled balloons that it would be fine. So my question is if it is actually okay to do this upgrade?

I think the guy at the shop was more concerned for your wallet than anything else. I personally just ordered one of these. I would like to raise the seat in my Hobie compass but am looking for greater stability as the center of gravity is raised with seat height.

I just bought the kicks and I have one question and one remark. Is it better to surf launch/land with or without (can't find videos) and the idea of taking them out while in the ocean is nearly impossible at least brand new, as they are EXTREMELY tight fit. I'm sure in time they may eventually get loose. I am considering sanding them a bit
Depends on the user, conditions and location. I'd start with them out for your first few times to be safe. Personally we launch with them in and pedaling since the fins are so much more powerful than a paddle and they track so straight. For coming back in through the surf they're nice to have if the beach is deep enough to allow pedaling, if too shallow having them out and not dragging them across rocks and sand is ideal.
So to be honest the arms fit nicely the second attempt which happened a week later. I had a file in my hand and tried them first to my surprise and joy, they went in snug and without undue force.

No it does not exist. I saw a video of the Hobie Compass Installation Series, but no video of the Sidekick Ama Kit.
Can this kit be attached to Compass?
If I send that much money on a kayak I would let the shop do that. Good video and job tho
We have an amazing network of authorized Hobie retailers that are great at doing these installations if you opt to go that direction. Some upgraded are fairly easy and some or definitely much more in depth and require more specially tools!
