If the micro drive interferes with the rudder stowage, why didn't Hobie have the micro driver mounted on the other side of the boat?

The left sided steering is the more important design integration. Not every user will use a Power Pole, but even if you are a Power Pole user the rudder can be effectively stowed. For transport - the Power Pole driver unit can be removed in a matter of seconds and the rudder can rest in the mounting bracket.

Can you put the power poll micro on an outback?

Our current Outback model (Year 2019 and on) has inserts molded right into it for a very simple install of the Power-Pole micro base plate. For older Outbacks we've seen adapter plates that allow the install.

Hobie I must say that not putting the corded rudder on this like my 2012 Hobie outback is absolutely disrespectful, let alone having the new rudder be so tiny
