@ about 3:30, when you're making the side hole for the transducer cables, the label states a 325lbs. This is a passport 10.5' not a 12'. My question is why?
Good catch! This video was filmed using a pre-production Passport 12.0. Sometimes we use stickers we have on hand to mock up the placement of production stickers. The weight capacity of the Mirage Passport 12.0 is in fact 400 LBS / 181.44 KG. The weight capacity of the Passport 10.5 is 325 LBS / 147.42 KG
We worked with Lowrance in designing the plates for our kayaks, very little is lost from the signal while the transducer is protected agains scapes on the ground. In the past we would glue the transducers to the inside of the hull and have them fire through the hull but the plate is much better and an easier installation.
@@HobieOfficial Thank you very much for the quick response. My transducer (GT20 Garmin) also supports the cleaview functionality (photographic image). Would that functionality work with the standard plate or should I use another plate?
Hi, I am the owner of a new Passport 12.0, and would like to know where to get that fishfinder extension pad to install the transducer with a Garmin model, the dual beam one. I can not find that part anywhere. Thanks in advance!
I have a humminbird Piranhamax 4. I’m sure it will, everybody has there other brand name fish-finder’s. Doesn’t have to be Lowrance. Just get that Passport 12 fish finder kit.
That music brought a tear to my eye.
I don’t own a hobie, but watched this either way. 😅
So do I.
@@qwasuae I own one now. 🤣🤙🏼
I would be nice if you did this install with the stock hull minus the hatches you installed. I'm not going that dedicated.
Where can I find the wiring kit only.
Have my battery already
Is the installation the same for the passport 10.5 ?
Any coming video explaining how is best to install the Hobie anchor trolley system on this kayak? Thanks in advance..

Does the same video & step by steps apply to a fish finder install for the Mirage 10.5?
Same question
Is the performance of the transducer affected due to the plastic cover? If yes, what is the expected drop in performance?
