I’m amazed how Mark never runs out of superlatives! And also amazed at his legendary appetite!
I grew up in Australia in the nineteen fifties and sixties when most Australians had an aversion to seafood and were accustomed to a sad and indifferently prepared piece of fish on Friday nights.
My family were immigrants from China and we were omnivores so we relished the rich bounty of seafood such as we see here in this video. What a feast we had!

We farm them here in a number of places so they are ‘homegrown’/ Australian in that sense. My family always liked to go to the Eucumbene Trout Farm on the way back from the Snowy Mountains and pick up some delicious smoked trout to take back to Sydney. (It’s a 4 hour drive from the farm to so you couldn’t really buy fresh ones!) Not sure how old the farm was back in the 80s but it is still there.

A Bunnings sausage in bread would be a more accurate depiction of an Aussie BBQ than this. Can’t remember the last time I went to a BBQ at a mates place and had oysters the size of my head.
