    I was pretty dismissive of the blue chain pet store background at first and surprised to see it on one your tanks but once the tank was filled It really grew on me too! The contrast between the grey, blue, and green is really attractive. Maybe theres a bit on unexplored space in background choice to experiment in! Thanks so much for today's inspiration!

    Either no background or plain black... I have the Roma 240 & dont use a background the fish are the colour then against the scape .. awesome George 👏💯

    Love the wood, and the milk crate idea. I've usually drilled and lag bolted a piece of slate to the bottom of large pieces.

    I love the low maintenance plants. You make the "easier" type of plants look great, which is what inspires so many of us to try them. Keep up the great work!

    Stunning George absolutely stunning, you cannot go wrong with that plant choice for a low tech tank. Would nice to see a update if Roy is happy with that. Blue background don’t love it but don’t hate it. Thanks to you just got my 5th aquarium and she who is to be obeyed said that’s it, fair comment.

      One question George, CRYPTOCORYNE BALANSAE is listed by some as a moderate to high light plant. Does it work for you in the low tech, lower light set ups?

    Blue background looks good I think. Adding some platinum angels in the tank will look really nice because they will look like clouds in the sky. :D

  • @2KXMKR
    @2KXMKR 6 років тому +3

    Lovely scape. I like the background, especially with the water ripples near the outlet, it makes it shimmer. I'm getting a 3D background for mine shortly. I have the exact same tank and it's turned in to a dirty jungle so needs a big overhaul and a massive clean.
    Personally I think Fluval made a bit of a bugger-up by putting the inlet and outlet at one end. The other end is so still and there's barely any flow over there. Circulation would have been so much better with the inlet and outlet at either ends. But it's still a great tank. I look at it now and think "Damn.... I need a six-footer" XD

  • @daleharris7900

    Love the scape. I really like the look that the ferns and crypts give to the aquarium. I personally use solid black backgrounds on my aquariums to hide the wires and hoses. Never thought about using a different color. The sheets of aluminum are already anodized black. To each his own I guess. Wonderful job once again George

    The blue background looks great! Only thing I would change about it is have it be lighter blue at the top grading to a dark blue near the bottom of the tank. Scape looks great! I hope you are allowed to revisit it in 3, 6, 9 and 12 months time for progress/growth updates.

    Initially a bit unsure about the background, but I think it adds a sense of infinity to the scape, a sense that there is more beyond rather than just ending at the back wall of the tank. The blue makes the greens of the plants and the colours in the fish zing too! Loving what you do!

    Really enjoyable and informative video again George, I always learn something from each of them! I had no idea that hard water won't be affected by adding rock to the layout, I've been worrying about rock selection for our new tank as our water is 324ppm so thank you!!!! Your hardscape is superb and the plants from Aquarium Gardens (loved that part of the video) are outstanding! As for the background, at first I must admit I really thought it was incongruous to a fresh water layout but once it was submersed....it works, particularly with the stone and rock colouration (but then thats what a great designer does for his client). Would love to see an update in a few months when the plants have grown in!

    Really like the wood in this I’m 50-50 on the background. It does look better with the water in it though. I really can’t believe how into I’m getting with aquascaping. I enjoy your videos and should be starting the hardscape on mine this weekend.

    In this Aquarium is it a good part.

    Super Nice, background is endless( i like iT a lott) . This ismy way exactly, not rimless so no wires or hoses on the side . The lighting never from any angle in your site,beautifull. And somewhat cheaper I think. This situation can really be " low maintenance " , a rimless tank never.
