    This video I think highlights the fact that once you have everything prepared it can come together nicely without drama. Ok we may not have Georges experience but if we use the steps just like this video shows then we will all have great scapes like this one. Thanks as always George and the frequent uploading keeps us all buzzing. Love it!

    Love the hardscape, the plant are a extra layer. Good filming, you’ve made us feel as if we where there. . George, your commitment to your viewers is 2nd to none. You seem to read all comments on current vids. This is what makes you stand out head and shoulders above the rest. Fantastic job. Tom

    I love that the colour palette of the hardscape echos that of the office interior: black and sandy blonde. Restrained contemporary elegance - perfect!

    I have been growing repens on the windowsill for about 6 months now, dosing lightly (as it has my Conoly of pest snails i breed for a puffer friend) and I have almost half a 30-litre clear acrylic storage box full of the stuff, it grows like a weed.
    A few months ago i through all my spare dragon stone at the bottom too see if would attach, as it seemed to attach to anything in my other scapes, including other plants! To no surprise, i now i have at least 5kg of dragon stone covered in the stuff, will make a beautiful low tech tank soon :B
    On another note, very nice tank :D

    I love your videos and I learn a lot from them. Thanks and keep up the great work!
    I have set-up a 120-gallon planted tank two weeks ago with river rocks and driftwood inspired by many of your set-ups. I saw your video two days ago and your Rotala H'ra was stunning. All the plants in my tank are doing wonderful and growing except for the Rotala H'ra. I was hoping to get that green and pink but I am just getting a red color on all leaves. They are in the corner of the tank and keep falling onto each other. Any ideas of what could be wrong with them?

    First of all nice scape as always. Secondly. Where is the iconic red colander. From a scaping perspective, which do you prefer? Mostly wood, wood and rock or all rock. And how do you decide which way to go with a scape. Thankyou.

    • @GeorgeFarmerStudios
      @GeorgeFarmerStudios  6 років тому

      Hi Kurt, can you believe I forgot my red colander?! Very upsetting... 😩
      Hardscape Design is largely based on the client’s wishes in a project like this. I influence, as appropriate and advise on what I think will work better and provide several options. Usually they are happy to go with whatever I suggest, so it’s based on available materials, tank size, tank shape, eventual livestock and plant preferences. 👍

    Great scape as always. Interested to see your use of tropica soil and how thin a layer you used. I have a dirted substrate and dose ferts and excel as carbon source. I have three bleheri that after 17 months since setting up are now growing much shorter, almost half the size they attained during first 10 months. Question is, do you know if I can safely add root tabs now that the dirt has lost some of its potency? I read that adding fertiliser to soil can cause toxicity issues. Interested in your thoughts. Could a tank be set up with the substrate in your video dosing ferts and excel rather than CO2. Dirt is great for first year, but has its limitations and issues!
