I have always wanted to know your height as it helps me judge the relationship of limbs to the hoop as I am on the tall 5'9" or 175 cm so I can make a mental adjustment when I see you demonstrate. I would love to see more flare entries as I believe they set up the choreo-- thanks again!!
Thank you. Yes 175cm is more on the tall side. I am 165cm and my student is even 10cm smaller. Of course things change a bit when you are longer or shorter and you have to adapt. The size of the hoop is as well playing a roll, depending on that you have more or less space. My hoop is 95 cm., I am glad, you like the tutorial. Just let me know if you have any questions or need tips for adapting something to your height.
@@karinodermattcoach thanks for the height stats 😀. I start my spin entry grabbing from the top of hoop because I'm too low otherwise. I spin clockwise, lift my left leg spinning into hoop next to my hand but I will try adding the fan flare 🤔
I am STRUGGLING!! I had this down - then I got c0vid and that led to me being off for about 4 months, so I lost a lot of strength in my arms and core. Ive been easing back into it over the last few weeks (maybe “easing” is not accurate) - I’ve got the spin but the spin to straddle invert just isn’t happening. It’s so disheartening. Any tips on getting it back?
Hello my dear I understand your frustration and I am sorry. I understand and coming back from sickness, we loose strength. From what you are describing, it looks like you have lost some strength and working on straight arm straddle inverts should help you getting the needed missing link back. I can get the flare pathway fine, but I can't invert to meathook or straddle! I go quite fast and I can straddle invert fine usually, so not sure what I'm doing wrong... it has been years and I still can't get flares 😢
