Thanks for the kind words! I'm planning a shorter video per trap and guard explaining all of their mechanics, along with a couple more general "how to build well" videos and some specific base building walkthroughs.
I had an issue where my Hunter mod was triggering a bolt trap early through a holocube (which totally messed up my corner bait trap). The weird thing is, it only seemed to trigger 2/3 times when raiders would go through, and never when I went through. If you ever notice your bolt trap detecting through your holocube early, it may be due to the Hunter mod. Thankfully I didn't really need the hunter mod and just took it off. The corner now slays many players.
Huh, that's an odd bug. Have you reported it to BHVR with screenshots/video or an outpost name? They're usually pretty good about fixing things brought to their attention this way.
@@Strycken1 I'm still playing with it, trying to find commonalities in the triggers. It actually stopped happening for a couple of days, then started up again. Currently it looks like the trap block is seeing around the edge of the holo block. Since (from the traps perspective) there is a holo block on it's immediate right, and a holo block one block away on it's front, but no block on front diagonal. I'm hoping it will trigger a few more times, I think it happens when the player hugs the wall closest to the trap when coming around the corner, effectively entering this imperceptible space of view that it has around the holo cube, through that empty corner.
Yeah, I just saw that! I'll have to do some experimentation and a deep dive into that mod, but I'd like to at least get the rest of the traps and guards out of the way first.
@@Strycken1 seems pretty decent all the arrows are staggered instead of a straight line definitely slows you down longer that and the homing proabbly would be good together
Thanks a lot. Your outposts are pieces of art and it's good to have a whole tutorial from you. Look forward for more videos about this topic!

@@Strycken1 ahhh, that sounds great ^^, thanks again, it would be amazingly useful!
