He has compiled and explained very well what I have also researched and discovered. This is so eloquently presented! Get the message out! Nature is nurture.
LED emit huge amounts of retina damaging blue light. Dimming LEDs makes it even worse as it is done by pulse width modulation (flickering!). Old incandescent lamps have perfect color spectrum and do not flicker.
Wrong. Incandescent bulbs have good spectrum but do flicker (about 20-30%). New LEDs exist that have very good spectrum (low blue) and can be dimmed flicker-free.
@@dmoschos I'm not so sure about LEDs still, I think you can find low blue light LEDs, but most common bulbs you buy in supermarkets have a blue peak, and I've noticed the more you pull a light meter away from a LED, the higher the flicker readings. Most LED flicker measurements I've seen are taken quite close.
I’m glad to hear that, Adam. If you go to humanOS radio you can find a discussion with Harvard Professor Emeritus, Michael Hamelin all on red light. I have only explored and used Joovv. I really like mine!
Dr Kruse has some recent blogs about red lights not being that great, mainly because they don't have the infrared component that the red does in morning sunlight.
whenever you are indoors under artififcal light or driving - YES. when outdoors take them off and sun gaze about 15 degrees off of the sun. You may need to change your Rx.
He misses a very key point in the light advice. Gotta see sunrise for 30 mins. Dr Kruse says missing that minimizes the benefit of doing all the other light and night right. I dont think Dan really mentioned circadian rhythm. Its gotta be set to dawn in the SCN master clock. Body processes time from the SCN to require the frequencies and ratios of light that enable reactions to synthesize and recharge vital molecules. Do you think evolution knew what light was doing? Ignored scripture tied light (generally) to this importance before any men did. The truth which got more direct actually mentions both day and night, and sunrise to keep as the light that makes you and keeps you running right.
Most led lights sold do not have a balanced spectrum, that compares to natural light. They are more expensive and jobs or people generally speaking gring at the thought of spending money. It amazing what ignorance will do to you. People often say I wish I had did things different. When it too late. To bad so sad.
I like this subject but it's difficult to take someone seriously when they spout so much rubbish about the space shuttle, space and latent viruses in the 1st minute... he has a LOT to learn about critical thinking

More precisely, God is the light of life.
Dan Pardi your level of intelligence and trust is admirable beyond most of the TEDx videos on health eve made. Thank you!
Great discussion on the evolutionary mismatch prior to talking on light. We are our environment.

Example that I can find in Lowe’s or Home Depot? lol

Love Dan Pardi. Intelligent, well spoken and gorgeous. Whats not to like?
Dan Pardi is the man!
Love it! Making me think about how we can rewire offices for this next era.
You like Dr. Jack Kruse's work now - don't ya!!
who?
Yes, he has been ahead of everyone elso and everyone should know who Dr. Jack Kruse is and listen to him.

Thank you 🙏🌞
Outstanding! Integrating immediately into my lectures.
This is fantastic! Looking forward to hearing more from Dan.
Hmmm... where have I heard all this before? Oh yes, Dr. Jack Kruse; the OG light guru!
You don't think it's a good thing more people are talking about this stuff? Kruse doesn't own this subject nor is he the first to talk about it.

3:17 I like that he specified 'patented'
Excellent talk. Makes me wonder if there are blue light filters I can clip on to my prescription glasses.
Chris, thanks. Search "Sleep ZM" on Amazon.

It was a fascinating speech!
Brilliant thank you
Super insightful.
Great presentation!
great subject!
excellent thank you so much!
I listened to event on your podcast, excellent ! I was interested in knowing a reputable red light to purchase?

Wondering how he changed his lightbulbs in his house and office to dim according to the time of day. Anyone know how we can do that, too?
Won't help. Dim isn't the only attribute in raw light and night.
Is it good to wear blue blocker prescription eyeglasses all of the time?

YunTraining thank you so much!!
depends on time of day, inside or outside.. colour of lense..
1NickMarshallMusic thanks! Just asking because have to wear them all the time..
@@crystalriver7772 no glasses outside is best too. yellow inside. red 3hrs before bed
Anyone know what bulbs he uses?
might be a little late, but he's using something akin to full spectrum led lights, so he can configure them so suit his 'colour needs'
I want Healthy Bulb 💡.

There is nothing nonsense about anything he said go read a fuckin book and try to be a open minded person instead of a damn close minded jackass
