No these cams are a drop in and go. I always check just in case. You could never be to sure. Ever cam is made different no matter what so if I was you yes check them. To ford they say drop in and go no need to adjust anything.
@vicarnieva5401 the best way to do it put your timing chain back on release the grenade pin on the old one not on the new one build tension so that sprocket will not turn using impact take that bolt out.
@@vicarnieva5401 I think the way we did it, spin the sprocket backwards, but have something basically pull up and slide out the chain. we really didn't care what damage was going to be done to the chain "if there was some" because we were replacing it anyways.
@@TOUGHBUILDSCUSTOMS btw did you use a thread chaser on the engine block before installing the head studs? and if you what size of thread chaser did you use?
Do i need a tune for stock camshaft when dropping in
For stock cams no. You don’t need a tune your good man.
Do you have to check valve lash when putting in the ford performance cams?

did you remove the sproket chain and replace them? or just the tensioner?
I replaced them all. Only because if your going to do the job do it right lol.
@@TOUGHBUILDSCUSTOMS what did you use to remove the sprocket chain? because it spins everytime i tried to take the bolt out

Do you need to use the tool 303-096 to install the crankshaft front seal or is it doable without?
No, it is not necessary. If you feel more comfortable, you can use the tool but for this application, you don’t need it.
@@TOUGHBUILDSCUSTOMS what tool did you use to remove and install the crankshaft front seal?
@vicarnieva5401 all the tools that I’ve used should be in the description I got them from Amazon. Let me know if they’re not there.
