You did a great haul. I'm curious to know how you determine when to start using your storage items instead of going to buy something you need. In other words, when do you start using the long term storage items? The whole process of long term storage just intrigues me so much! I love the feeling of always being prepared. I keep a well stocked pantry and freezer but it's just 2 of us to care for.
For me long term storage mean having a good supply of things that I use all the time. Usually these things have a fairly long shelf life. There is no "time to start using them" you are always using the oldest and restocking so your supply never dwindles and you are never having things go out of date. So for instance if I have a couple of years worth of a staple on my shelf I go once a month or a couple of times a year and replenish my stock back up to where is was so I always have plenty "just in case" and it is always fairly fresh. Some people just stockpile things for emergency use only but that was never the way I looked at my storage at all. Hope that make sense.
Hi! I'm in South Florida and our Costco stores all have shortages: meats, canned goods, Lysol cleaner and sanitizing wipes, NAPKINS, YEAST, APPLE DESKTOP COMPUTERS (those in caps have been out for some time with no idea when they will be restocked)... I know it's hurricane season here, so I can attribute some of the above to normal disaster stocking, but the long term shortages are concerning....can you say FRUSTRATING!
Lysol cleaning products are very hard to find where I am, I contacted my brand of Toilet paper and now I order a case once a month , until I have 6 months of Beck up , I always only had two weeks of items, but not now I am going for 6 months of everything.
I learned a long time ago, when you have a prompting to buy extra of something you do it. Even if it doesn't make sense at the time, do it otherwise you might regret it later on....even months later. Another thing is my dad had a pantry to envy! He had everything labeled and always had 2 or more of everything. When something got to 2, he restocked it; and that is what I have always done too (when I could afford it). Now that we are all out of the house, he doesn't keep it AS full, but it's still there a bit.. lol Stay safe and keep following the promptings!
I’m from the UK. Our Costco is never empty of people like you’re was. At times I’ve had to queue outside for 45 mins to get in. I can’t believe the cost of some of your fresh fruit and veg, it’s so expensive compared to here. $7+ for 3 cucumbers that’s crazy money, they are the equivalent of 75 cents here about 56pence per cucumber. And the nectarines were crazy money. Love your Channel. Xx
It's not like that in the lower 49 states. Alaska costs more because they're remote and it cost more to be shipped up there. I live in Ohio and am shocked by those prices too LOL
Do you ever shop deals? So if your local grocery store is having a sale, do you go and stock up? It’s just me but I do shop like this to help me save money and stock up on some things like toilet paper, paper towels, can foods.
Thanks for showing us Alaska and Costco in Alaska. Other than Southern California and our Costco’s are always busy. Before the pandemic I always did stock up on a lot of items so we were in good shape when the pandemic broke out. My husband started doing all the grocery shopping so I didn’t have to go to the store. And it looks like you have a lovely home there in Alaska
Yes its time for the haul again, October will come soon and that is when flu season starts, not even including this virus. Start getting everything ready to store, again.
We dont have a Costco where I live but when I seen the price of those cucumbers I bout fell over. We have a walmart and that would of been like $3 here. In Arkansas
We recently move from GA to IN and I’ve noticed there seems to be more product on the shelves here. Back in GA paper products were still hard to come by but here it’s in abundance. Price wise I think your prices and here in IN are comparable, things were a bit cheaper in GA. The whole cost of living thing I guess.
I think Costco prices from warehouse to warehouse are the same....only items that would differ in price from location to location would be alcohol due to local and state taxes....
Get vinegar and an essential oil you like mix a use as cleaner 👍🏻vinegar is an antibacterial add lemon juice/oil to add to the antibacterial effects Also thieves oil is also antibacterial cleaner 👍🏻🥰
Almost every week for about a month now I've been picking up a 32 pack of tp even though we don't need it just on an incase note so I'm restocking what we've used but also getting a little extra each time.
@Dixie Joe What if you don't have money to prepare and you are living off the 1,200 the govt gave the people. Some people were interviewed after the riots said they saw an opportunity and took it. Some say they did what they had to do to feed their families and get things they want/needed.
I live near Atlanta, Ga. and most of your pricing seems to be the same . Kinda good to know that they are consistent with prices. I try to keep up with supplies as well. Good luck ,and prep up everyone! You don’t know what the future holds and you can’t control it, all you can do is prepare yourself as best you can!
mfine892 That's what I thought. I have a water filter, but if for some reason if we can't get city water for a period of time, bottled water is sure good to have!
If you have a Dollar General set up a digital coupon account and on Saturdays take advantage of the 5.00 off 25.00 coupon. This will help you stock up on groceries each week.
I live close Kirkland, WA where the very first Costco opened years ago, hence the "Kirkland brand". Our Costco and most here in Washington state are always packed to the brim, because of Covid now there are always long lines to get in. Your prices are actually not too much different than ours. Love these types of videos the most and always love your choice of music on the ride there.

Xx
I’m UK too and I even think the toilet roll looked more expensive than ours think Kirkland is about £13. I’d never pay that for cucumbers 🙈😂
It's not like that in the lower 49 states. Alaska costs more because they're remote and it cost more to be shipped up there. I live in Ohio and am shocked by those prices too LOL
I'm in Ireland. We don't have Costco but I'm shocked as well with the price of stuff, 69c here for a cucumber.
So big grocery, may be one day not enough. Fantastic!
Great stock up! But 2 fast on prices and even what some things were!
this was so fun to watch for me since its like a come along with me to costco
Do you ever shop deals? So if your local grocery store is having a sale, do you go and stock up? It’s just me but I do shop like this to help me save money and stock up on some things like toilet paper, paper towels, can foods.
Watch their videos from the Safeway they are way more expensive.
Im glad you showed them going to grandmas, I know people don't leave their kids alone but I △⃒⃘lways thing " where are the kids" haha
We dont have a Costco where I live but when I seen the price of those cucumbers I bout fell over. We have a walmart and that would of been like $3 here. In Arkansas
Yes! I live in FL my Sam’s sells the same 3 pack cucumbers for $3.89 when I saw the price I was like what!!!
Another great video guys :) Love that remix of Don't Worry Be Happy its mint!
Ca, same prices I was surprised I thought you guys would be more..
Happy video. Have a happy day. 😊🦋⚘🌻
I live in Georgia, I agree with you. All paper products are not existing on the shelves
I think Costco prices from warehouse to warehouse are the same....only items that would differ in price from location to location would be alcohol due to local and state taxes....
Love seeing everything you show us thank you
I can’t find any Lysol spray or cleaning products like that where I am, not even store/off brand.
you are totally correct. nothing of lysol at all
I havent been able to get anything since March but got super lucky that Amazon fresh had lysol wipes recently. I got super lucky!
The other day I seen Walgreens brand of lysol wipes but there was maybe 40 wipes is all that was in it
I go to my local dollar tree
Get vinegar and an essential oil you like mix a use as cleaner 👍🏻vinegar is an antibacterial add lemon juice/oil to add to the antibacterial effects
Also thieves oil is also antibacterial cleaner 👍🏻🥰
What woman does not enjoy seeing these shopping hauls?🤔I love them👍🏻
Haha i guess $500. I was a bit off😂 Here in SC that wouldve probably have been 350
I guessed $600! I was so proud of myself until I realized I wasn’t winning anything for it.😆
@@micheleyamamoto545 🤣 i take their grocery store price guesses so seriously
I have noticed that here in North Carolina many of the shelves are bare. I love the way that y’all work so well together.
Almost every week for about a month now I've been picking up a 32 pack of tp even though we don't need it just on an incase note so I'm restocking what we've used but also getting a little extra each time.
Just love you two!! Love your videos. You two and your family are a blessing.
🥰🥰🥰
It is hard to find money and storage for stocking. I definately think we need to do it.
You two racing at the end was the best!!
Don’t get why people aren’t preparing. You can see they want to close everything and quarantine us again.
That's why....so when things do close, people have what they need.
I’ve been wondering the same. It makes me feel like I’m going a little insane.
I always notice you buy tons of bottled water. Have you ever thought of investing in a water filter to cut dow on waste?
mfine892 That's what I thought. I have a water filter, but if for some reason if we can't get city water for a period of time, bottled water is sure good to have!
Your so good at driving the orange cart. I always have a hard time with it lol.
I wish I had the money to do what you guys are doing
Amber Ewell Agree💯 and the space to store it.
If you buy a little bit each time you shop ( canned foods even from dollar tree) you’ll be surprised how much you can accumulate!
If you have a Dollar General set up a digital coupon account and on Saturdays take advantage of the 5.00 off 25.00 coupon. This will help you stock up on groceries each week.
CJ DUNROVIN Thank you for good tips. 👍🙂
CJ DUNROVIN That’s exactly where I live and learning to be creative with space is certainly challenging, but the bed solution sounds great.
you and your husband so sweet. enjoyed your video
Prepping and all is cool but we need to FIGHT back.
You have to have something to fill your soldiers bellys with.
No idea why, but I love The Costco Vlogs. I like guessing the final price too. Lol
Almost 30 dollars for toiletpaper?😳
Here in Germany you would pay like 10 euros for the same amount 😳😳
Gave me some ideals about restocking on the essentials here too!!
I’ve never seen a more empty Costco 😮
I live close Kirkland, WA where the very first Costco opened years ago, hence the "Kirkland brand". Our Costco and most here in Washington state are always packed to the brim, because of Covid now there are always long lines to get in. Your prices are actually not too much different than ours. Love these types of videos the most and always love your choice of music on the ride there.
OOo I like how Bert and Jessica shopped together
I do the same here in OK with supplies. Some of the prices were spot on with here while more of the fresh veggies were higher on your end.
