    I just installed a TAB 4.5 slip on along with baddad summit bag kit on my road glide. I realized that the pipe was touching my bag. Your video popped up and all I have to say is you’re the man. I appreciate you brother.

      Very nice! Keep in mind that is kind of the old school way of doing it and you cant always get enough out of that turn. I designed these exhaust brackets last year for pushing the pipe over and they work amazing! Takes about 5 minutes to put them in, push the pipe over and tighten down. here is the link to the brackets www.advanblack.com/exhaust-adjustable-brackets-to-center-the-exhaust-with-stretched-bags-and-fender-extension.html and here is my video on installing them ua-cam.com/video/95z0UmtdrNw/v-deo.html Let me know if you have any questions...always here to help. Be safe..specially this weekend!!

    Takes 5 minutes using the strap wrench as described. Great technique! I’m running the 4.5 exhaust and they look awesome with the stretched bags.

    Thank you! I needed to swap my slip-ons on my RK. Right side didn't sit central with my right 4.5" stretched Advanblack pannier. You're simple tip to get a rubber pipe wrench sorted it! I had pulled and twisted to no avail. Your how-to vids are excellent.

    Steve. Thanks for all your great videos and excellent customer support yesterday when I called Advanblack. Thanks to you and your tips I successfully installed the advanblack extended bags, fender extension, custom dynamics TriBar fender light, and adjusted my exhaust for a perfect fit and spacing. Your tips on the phone were also appreciated and they worked. I like your no nonsense videos, professional, and straight to the point with practical demonstrations. Also thanks to you, today I ordered my custom dynamics probeam low pro smoked tail light and Ciro 3D front and rear LED signals and bag blades. Cheers from Canada!

    I just changed my pipes and was fighting to get the right side moved away from the bag without any luck , I knew if I turned the pipe it would move in or out but I didn't think about leaving the bracket bolts in and using a strap wrench , thanks for the video and UA-cam so guys like me can do their own wrenching.

      @sikbaggers  6 років тому

      Hey Kevin! Im glad this helped. We use this method on all the bikes that come in here for bags...one or even both methods on some bikes...some exhaust will just fight you til the end but usually the bracket relocation trick does it if all else fails

    Thank you so much! I was completely baffled as to why my pipes were not centered and different on the right and left. After trying everything I was ready to return my pipes. Your simple fix worked perfectly and didn't require removal of the bags and only loosening one bolt. Awesome!

    Thanks Steve. I've been looking for this solution on numerous forums and my Harley dealership. Your solution worked perfectly. I still needed to add the rubber grommet extension Advanblack recommended but at least the pipes are centered.

      nice man...yeah its not to bad of an adjustment you just have to take some time and get it tweaked right. Almost every bike I have worked on has needed some sort of adjustment to the pipes and or bags. Let me know if you need any help with anything.

    Always love your videos man, thank you.
    2 questions though
    1) You said that 2 into 1 pipes can't do this. I hit a dip last week and it knocked mine out of whack. Are you saying not to try and twist it back into place?
    2) What kind of pipes do you have? I love the end tips on yours way more than the ones I have.

    • @sikbaggers
      @sikbaggers  3 роки тому +1

      you can slightly turn your two into 1 but not as much as a dual exhaust...if it moved out of whack you can push it back..it just doesn't usually go as far as the duals..the pipes on this bike are Rush Racing Big Louis and their slash-cut tips ..some of the best-sounding pipes I've owned.

      the only thing you can do is buy aluminum or stainless steel spacers ...check ace hardware or local hardware store for something like that...youll need longer bolts too

      John Grant hey John we are pricing out different color stitching and we will see what the public wants as we move forward with new colors. I'm not sure when it will be though. Just keep watching here or even on the website .. We will announce it when we have new colors.

    Hey Steve, what is that 'spacer' you seem to have on the sides of your extended fender. From the side view it looks like a fabric but from the back view it looks like color matched plastic?? thanks

    • @sikbaggers
      @sikbaggers  5 років тому

      Hey Neal those are actually plasma bars from Custom Dynamics. These are the 8" brake/turn signal versions. They stick to the sides of your fender extension for a nice clean look and add the much needed brake light in the rear.

    I have 2 into 2 pipes with an X center. How would I turn the pipes to move them in and if that doesn’t work how do I shim the bags? Thanks!

    • @sikbaggers
      @sikbaggers  5 років тому

      im not sure without seeing the pipes however shimming the bag is easy. we send rubber cushion shims with the bags and you simply remove the rear rubebr cushion from the bag and place the shim in its place on the bag rail. You can attach it however you want. Some guys glue it on the rail, some use zip ties, gorilla tape etc..this shims the bag out slightly from the exhaust.

    Hi Steve
    Just wondering if you can help me I’ve got the advanblack stretched saddlebags but can’t get one of the leads to shut properly have you got any tips for me
    Got the same problem with the tow path cleared that doesn’t shut properly
    Cheers

    • @sikbaggers
      @sikbaggers  5 років тому

      Yes sir..I see it happen quite often actually. there doesnt seem to be much play in the hinge when youre installing the 4 screws but there is...and all it takes is a little tweak to offset it. Best thing to do is remove the two outer screws from your tether...slightly loosen the two middle screws and let the lid fall into a relaxed position...open and close the lid fully a few times...when its seating correctly and latching then, and i know this is the hard part, slightly open the lid far enough to get your hand in there and tighten those middle screws back..open it and put your other 2 back in. That should do the trick. You may have to do it a few times but youll get it. The last part of your question im not sure I follow what you mean by the tow path cleared?

      Yes sir...check these out right here, they are black. www.amazon.com/Krator-Custom-Mirrors-Adapters-Davidson/dp/B016YZZWPC You can buy the plugs for your existing mirrors if you choose to remove the mirrors from your inner fairing and use these. They just mount on the pre existing holes in your perches.
