  • Showing an easy method of removing the retaining clip from the window winder handle and also replacing the handle onto the door. Be careful when removing the clip as it took me two days to find it when I first tried this......... If you find this video helpful it would be appreciated if you would consider subscribing, thank you.

    My 1997 corolla has a plastic stepped washer behind the handle which hides the circlip out of sight,your handle in the video doesnt have one?
    Also, i always get inside the car & close the door to prevent losing the clip.
    I use a torch/light & a magnet in my hand to help find the clip as it will be somewhere inside the car.
    Look under the front seats as thats a common place where they hide!!! 😊😊

      Those are some top ideas, especially the one about closing the door. I know that there are numerous tricks to get the clip off and on, and I nearly laughed my socks off when a mechanic called it a Jesus clip. I am assuming that you are not Crompton the racing driver.

      Some ppl call them "shit" clips too,i used to work in the automotive trade & would regularly yell shiiiiit when the clip flies off 🤣🤣🤣🤣
      I've also seen a video on ut that shows you how to remove the handle circlip using a
      wire garbage bag tie & another using a clean rag or a sock,they both work amazingly well too 😉

    You did not show how or what you really used to get the clip back on. It's tricky and difficult. No help here.

    • @johnvienta7622
      @johnvienta7622  Рік тому +1

      That is the beauty of it, there is no trick. You simply place the clip onto the handle and push it onto the stem. The spring clip expands to accommodate the stem and then closes when it reaches the retaining groove, which locks it into place.
