  • The Big Game is right around the corner, and these Spicy Teriyaki Grilled Chicken Wings are the perfect addition to your Game Day menu!
    "I am a huge fan of grilled wings and hot yaki is one of my favorite flavors. Beyond that, the texture of the rendered skin and tacked up sauce in the end makes this wing so special. Please Enjoy!" - Chef Eric Gephart
    Hot Yaki Grilled Chicken Wings
    Ingredients:
    2 Pounds Chicken Wings
    4 Tablespoons Lanes BBQ Q-Nami
    Glaze
    ½ Cup Sweet Chili
    ½ Cup Teriyaki Glaze
    ¼ Cup Hoisin Sauce
    1 Tablespoon Pickled Ginger Juice
    Method:
    1. Stabilize your grill at 350F and setup for direct cooking. While the grill is coming to temperature, use a sharp knife and “Scruff” the wings. Now lay the wings on the grill grates. Close the dome and allow to cook for 25 - 30 minutes. Make the glaze while the wings are cooking.
    2. Flip the wings and cook for another 20 minutes or until you reach an internal temp of 170-175F and you love the crust. Once the wings have reached temp. transfer them to the sauce bowl and glaze them, then return the wings to the hot grill for a minute on each side to tack them up, transfer to a presentation plate and drizzle a bit of the remaining glaze over the wings. Enjoy!

    Gotta love the Q-Nami and that hot yaki looks delightfully simple. I’m also looking forward to seeing what accessories KJ might have coming to us this year. Cheers Chef E!

    Would swapping Oyster sauce for the Hoisin sauce drastically change the flavor profile, or should I go to the store?

      @ChefEricGephart Рік тому +1

      Might be the next big thing. I would say go with what you have versus going out to the store again. I wish your sauce would be awesome⚡️

      Teriyaki sauce has a very interesting history. It is widely believed that the cooking technique emerged in the 17thcentury in Japan, referring to the culinary method that was used to grilled food during the era.
      On the other hand, the sauce originated in Hawaii with the arrival of the first Japanese immigrants, who invented a new marinade mixing local products, like pineapple juice, with soy sauce, which eventually evolved into teriyaki as we know it today. “Origins and ingredients”
