Student Doctor Grace Mapel "Persistent Sexual, Emotional, and Cognitive Impairment Post-Finasteride: A Survey of Men Reporting Symptoms". Originally from Kansas City, Student Doctor Mapel began her trek into higher education at Missouri Western State University, where she graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Biology: Health Sciences through a partner program in 2022. Upon matriculating to Kansas City University’s Joplin campus, SD Mapel quickly became involved in campus happenings, joining the Christian Medical and Dental Club, as well as the Primary Care Club. Currently, SD Mapel is enjoying finishing up third year rotations in the Kansas City region, and participating in the Community Health Specialty Track. She is passionate about brining healthcare to the underserved and learning about how to make healthcare more accessible for all people, especially those in her hometown of Kansas City. Outside of her education, Mapel enjoys volunteering with Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care, the Crisis Text Line, and her church's Middle School group. In her downtime, SD Mapel spends a lot of time with her family and friends.
