Kris just want to say, followed you for years and you are the man! Anyway we have so many gaint snapping turtles in Minnesota. Noodling is actually illegal here just for that reason. Lol. Great info on your videos! Good luck fishing !
Another interested fact. The black bear population is out of control here. So it is common to have bear encounters, while sitting on shore all night, with a pile of stinky bait right next to ya. Do you guys have bears in New Mexico?
Fall time in southern New Mexico , beautiful Indian summer. fishing , hunting and football , motorcycle cycle rides . cool mornings warm afternoons. My little slice of paradise. I love it. What more could you want ?
We have a ranch in Texas. Ironically a beaver dam increased our catfish because it slowed down the creek. I live in creek fishing heaven. Because of the creek flowing water the catfish has a clean white meat flavor. Round Mountain Texas we have Sandy River and Cheri
Are these spots good for locating flatheads when they aren't nesting? If it's pre/post spawn, should I be hitting deeper spots? There is a feeder creek of the Arkansas river near my house. For the most part, it is very shallow. But it snakes through multiple counties, as it's very long (60+ miles). How would you target flatheads on this body of water? The creek is "typically" 25-75 ft wide, with several areas branching off into other bodies of water. TONS of logs and submerged timber. Thanks for your time brother. Love your videos!
kinkorev Any kind of cover is good for flatheads all year round. In the warmer months they will feed in shallow water. I look for areas about 4ft deep with lots of cover. In the cold months they move to deeper water and hold in submerged cover

Are the flat heads good to and how big can you eat them?
Thanks! I've never made it out to Jone's hole. Maybe we could hit it up some time. Did you catch anything?
