Maybe I am naïve/ignorant, and I've only watched a few a Kris's videos, but he has an incredibly unique and useful approach to making a UA-cam fishing video. This dude is the Yoda of UA-cam catfishermen! Thanks Kris for humbly helping us all become better anglers.
Very informative, never what I would have pictured below the surface
Thanks man, thats helpful!
Nice informative video.Thank you. I would love to watch u fish the same area when the water return....
You are an expert on this river dynamics for fish.
Great information Kris love that the water is gone and your able to share this info with everyone keep up the great work.
Good educational video. Thanks.
Great video and info. I've never seen anyone show the inside of a jam like that. Very interesting thanks for showing.
Thanks for the tip muddy river I always enjoyed your videos
awsome videos learned alot
Awesome video! this taught me alot! i was always afraid of getting my rigs hooked on the logs so i never threw my lines near there but now that i have a kayak i can set up yoyos! Ill have to go to the Rio Grande and check out some spots before i go fishing at the end of the month!
Great info. It is hard to understand what is going on under the water surface around structure and this helps a lot. Experience and practice are great but so is seeing the actual structure! I am in NE Oklahoma and we have a lot of water but not a lot of fast moving water. The creeks and rivers around move rather slow but this will help me to know what is going underneath and try to cast better.
Thanks for the video.
Thank you for a most informative video, Kris. Seldom do we as fishermen have the opportunity to actually see what you have shown us. Sorry about your low water/N0 water situation, but thanks again for taking advantage of bad circumstances for educational purposes.
Thanks for taking the time to explain this I understand it a lot better now
I learned alot thanks
Amazing info!!
Thanks for the information I learn something new about overtime I watch your videos.
Thank you guys for all of the positive feedback!
I love your videos I'm also a nasty muddy everyday cat fish Mexican fishing working man myself. I respect and appreciate your experience, I live in Houston Texas I try to find a new fish spot every week, I'm a little late in finding your channel but really hope your still motivating people to get out there man bless you , tight lines
Your videos are great man. I live in Nebraska and there are 3 major rivers in my area. Two are HUGE, and there is a small river and logjams left and right! GREAT VIDEO!

Thanks Kris I didn't know any of that.
Pretty cool video man.
Not to much into cat fishing. Your videos are awesome! I have have to be honest, I have been trying it.
I actually took my grandkids! They loved it. Your videos are very helpful. My wife asks me, “Kris Flores again”. Every night after
Gunsmoke! Great videos. You can forget about videos! It’s time for your own show! I’m not t laughing! Really! God Blessed you take it the rest of the way brother!🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼👍🏾👍🏻👍🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸
I have the best luck with cut shad or carp, and the chicken liver chum bait that I make. Fresh shrimp also works
show more fishing vids plz i love watching them =).
thats so cool that you get to see the bottom and entire area that you fish, when its dried out. Sure it sucks that you cant fish it at the time when its dry, but thats such an advantage to get your best fishing spots to see bottom without the water. You could plot all these points on a GPS or simply by getting a couple waypoints on the horizon or river bank. i wish i could do this to map out my fishing spots. awesome video man. i love that i always learn something from your videos
good question , ...
For flathead catfish I like to find log jams that hold crappie or some area with crappie, the flathead love the structure and the crappie
We are in an extreme drought so they shut the water off at elephant butte lake to conserve as much water as possible. our water comes from the snow pack in thre rocky mountains and its been pretty sad for the past few years.
I know you will be jealous of this but water does not dry up here in northern mississippi at least not that much. You did however teach me quite a bit about log jambs. I appreciate that. Maybe you guys could make a trip over here when your waters dry up. Me and my boy average 15 to 20 pound blues on our trips. By the way, did you give up on drift fishing? I haven't noticed any new videos on drifting from you. Thanks always for the info.
+Billly Seward Thank you for the invite! I haven't given up on drift fishing, It's just been too windy to put the boat out on the lake every time I get a chance to go. I'll be making some in the future though.
It's been less and less every year. This year they're saying not till june and 6 weeks at the most.
How often do they open the dam?
Do catfish like sweet corn from the can an can you do a video showing how you know when you are in the catfish nest
When does the water return and where did it go?
How are there any fish available to catch when they cut the water like that? Where do they go? How do they get back?
Where do the fish come from when the water returns?
They flow downstream from Caballo Lake
So what happens when the water dries up? Do you find a bunch of dead fish?
anajay78 well, pretty much. Around here the fish will hold up in the deeper holes until the water returns. That makes them easy targets for fisherman. People also net them or noodle them but those methods are illegal here. The remaining fish usually die once the water dries up sad to say.
What is a yo-yo?
