Great review. I never see it that cheap but I’ll go 125 for this limited release with no problem. I pass any higher….but never see them out there
Nice review. My bottle is 24B0827 and I really enjoy it. 🥃
I friggin' love these things.
Mine is 24B0811, 109.6p. Also a very good bottle. Sweet, very good rye. My first of this variety of Michters.
Its crazy how these are single barrels but the SB batch releases are so similar. Every review and my personal experience are the same. These are top notch stuff compared to previous releases
Can we get a drum battle with you and Jason from mash and drum? ❤
Just opened 24B0916 bought at the distillery. Interestingly (at least to me) is I also have 24B0915 bought in NC. Will have to side-by-side them at some point
Just picked mine up yesterday and it's friggen fantastic. They pop up at $140 all the time around me and have always passed just because I'm not the biggest rye fan. Finally pulled the trigger and love it. Would agree with the bourbon drinker's rye.
Love the channel and another great review! In my area (LI-NY) this usually sells for $149-$249 if you can find it! A really good local store I trust had a handful of bottles and dropped the price a couple of weeks ago to $129 and I picked one up (24B0826). I'm still relatively new to ryes (keeping the % at/below 70 so far... not sure if I'm ready for 94-100%!) and I absolutely loved this! Went back a couple of days later and thankfully they had one bottle left (same barrel) which I grabbed of course as a back up! Also, love Pikesville (first rye I tried) and JD SBBP Rye!
$110.00 now in NC...controlled state. Just had a $10.00 price bump this month..
Well that stinks.
I was recently in New Hampshire, another control state, and noticed they were asking $62 for a New Riff single barrel (non-pick) that's $10-12 higher than my non control stores at home in Connecticut. So much for finding a deal...
But good pick up on the Michters. Our drop in CT came last week. Somehow snagged one at $90 while all other "fair" stores were asking $125.
@@javieracosta3439 I have heard that CT has some good pricing if you know where to look...(0 is a great price for this one..
I have 24B0888 and it’s fantastic
Nice review! Mine is B0925 110.2 proof and it’s great!
This is a fabulous Michter's Rye! I love it. I am a peated scotch nut but this Rye is wonderful! I am a 95/5 - 100% Rye lover but this one is amazing!
Got barrel 0933, close!!
Great review! This is the only Rye I would want from them. Cheers!
The 10 year is good.
But too damn expensive for sure.
But if someone else was buying, I ain't saying no to one 😂
Delicious!!
I’m in California and the local liquor stores sell it for 250-300
Local BevMo had three bottles come in and I grabbed one at 180.00
Mine is 24B0909 and I'm a big fan.
24B0817. Impressed drinking it on its own. I did get some unfavorable notes after drinking Stagg jr. Came out grassy with some dill
Clean, classy thumbnail
About to try a few different things haha 😆
As for the 0901 barrel number… me and a buddy been wondering if that has anything to do with the floor or rick location in a warehouse? Would def be nice to know but guessing Michael Peters likes keeping that close to the chest.
This vs Stagg jr? Which one you taking
I know you got a bottle you don’t like, and I’m sorry to hear that…but to me Michter’s LEs are an auto buy. Personally never had a bad one. Was lucky to find 2 of these at MSRP this year
Do you really think there is a huge tasting difference in Mitchters products? To me they generally are very similar when it comes to there product lines. All stay in there lane. Almost as if they are all small batches. But that could just be me.
from year to year I notice differences - sometimes huge, and sometimes negligible, though if you compare stuff from 2016-18 vs. now it’s usually wildly different
But then again it’s never really been clear to me what’s sourced, what’s not, and when/if it changed
@@DrumsAndDrams So true
@Whiskeats I agree with you. That why people say the michter's 10 2024 n 2023 are good but the 2022 n 2021 not so much. They're single barrels so they all should be different but that's not the case. like u said almost like they're small batch product.
@@WheelHouse1of1 ok I thought it was just me.
Love the reviews. But man it took 8 minutes to taste the whiskey on this one…
🤷♂️ sometimes I nose it more than usual, sorry. Fast forward! Lol
$120 is msrp home skillet
Srp $100-115
