The way the video started buffering so hard when you cranked the smoothness way up though (joking)
FINALLY a vroid tutorial that's not from a year ago
Always a good day when BK drops a video
I luv ur style!!! this is great, thank u for making these videos!!!
This is awesome! Gotta love any tutorial that has "hope and pray" as a step 😂
Did you do the mouth texture yourself? I really love it, would you be willing to share, or give tips on recreating it?
She draws the mouth in the beginner's cel shading video.
they have a previous video on the channel called "cel shading in vroid for beginners" where they show how they draw the mouth textures etc themselves.
thank you so much!! i'm starting my vtubing soon and i wanted to make an unique looking model on vroid, your tutorials are really helping me understand how the program works!! :]
i cant even describe how much i love ur videos... i've always loved working with vroid but the process always frustrated the HELL outta me- you've seriously made my life SO MUCH EASIER LOLOL
your videos are always so helpful!
i thought you weren't going to post again! glad to see you! ❤
Thank you very much for the tutorials💗
I think I may make an alternate universe where my characters each have cel shaded versions of themselves.
Also, I can't edit the textures without super display on my mobile. It makes editing the textures easier with the touch controls...
thank you Buwakuda
omg im glad i found you!!!!
Thank you so much ❤️
Thaaaankkks!
Wait the smoothness controls how many polygons the hair strands get? No wonder, why some of my models clock in at 60-80k polygons( even when using the delete transparent meshes option and using skin masks wherever possible). I do like to use layered outfits though.( which effectively adds an entire mesh on top of your existing meshes, which can be a mess when trying to tweak things in Blender. It does however bump up your triangle counts noticeably when not using the delete mesh option, however it may still increase file size for each additional texture)
I've actually been trying to figure out how to do a proper cell shaded look in Vroid for a long time now. My biggest issue has been how to make groups of hair look blended into each other to get rid of that outline, so that the highlights won't be interrupted. My main goal has been to make a viable option to Live2D, until I start learning it better.
Here's my tip for making the cell shading even easier: draw the very basics of the layout within Vroid, then export that texture. Bring it into your art program and smooth out the rough edges. Then import that back into the material you were using. Having your pen pressure makes a huge difference in cleanup. I wish we could just draw directly on the model itself and export UV making that way, but oh well.
How do you get the outline on your hair howw
This is very useful! Thank you very much (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧
are your comms open
i know this came out a bit ago and idk how often you check comments but if you want another video idea i would love it if you could make another video on actually modeling the hair
Its the thing that i have the most trouble with and all your models have such fantastic hair styling ❤
