Omg BK! You gotta be a fricking art wizard or something because you are magic with vroid! Thank you SO MUCH for this tutorial, I can't stress enough how much helpful your cel shading video was for me, this will definitely be fantastic to refer back to for more in-depth hair textures. Also your humor speaks to me on a personal level. Keep up these awesome tutorials! Yes please to your clothing tutorial too if you feel up to it, pretty please with a cherry on top!
@@buwakuda Oh far front it, that was really charming and made me smile! So I'm glad you didn't cut that out. And thank you for all your efforts, much appreciated!
My favourite approach to blending in Vroid is actually to not touch the blend tool at all! Using the brush on the second option (soft airbrushy type thing) and using that to lay down the colours, and then colour pick the in between colours and use those in between the base colours works really well for me. It can take a while, but in my experience once you get it down it beats using the built in blend tool.
The blend thing makes me glad I installed a tool that lets me edit textures quickly outside of Vroid This is pretty helpful cause I’m still figuring things out
I keep coming back to this hair concept because I love the neon under-color. I'm slowly customizing my model away from stock VRoid assets, but even just a good texture can go a long way.
Thank you for this video! I've been trying to make my hair highlights look at least decent for a while now, and thanks to this video, my model turned out better than I could imagine! Amazing work here and thanks again for making this! 💜
I’m gonna get a pc soon for Vroid and other stuff and I was kinda worried about the hair textures and stuff because I’ve never made any type of textures let alone hair in general so Ty for this video, btw for less confusion I’ve never used this app before or anything like the app.
holy crap this was great!!! it helped me so much! thanks you to the moon and back!!! and yes you are a smart person, U R WRONG, tsk too much self Contusions!!
for some reason i go to edit texture and it just.. doesnt work it doesnt edit i have a vroid stream on my channel and it wouldnt work i dont know why it just,, doesnt work i made sure they were unlocked, i tried with and without color , i dont even know man help
Hey there! Your video really helped me out, although on my model I customized the front hair and when I edited the texture it affected the back hair but nothing else. Is there a way to copy the texture I edited to the other hair pieces?
Is there a way to edit the hair texture to where you can edit all of the hair texture at once? For some reason I can only edit the front and the back and not have them be grouped together
I didn't understand how the inner lighter color was made? Why changing the Width, Highlight position and Offset made the inside color light? Were there another layers of hair that were colored? Or the texture of the hair wraps around the strand and rotating the texture around it puts the highlighted area to the inner part of the strand?
The texture wraps around the entire strand so you need to rotate the texture. when you make your texture, you'll need to split it down the middle so you can move it around
i really wish vroid would have an option to make translucent hair in the program instead of going out side of it, i got no idea how to use blender or unity 🥲

@@buwakuda Good i, ladie, you can find out the name of the track of the song itself from the beginning of the video?

Thank you so much for this explanation, it made so much more easy to think how to make the shades and highlights, you are truly a blessing
the peeking out the corner is a facecam i have not seen before. i really like it lmao.
My first hair texture attempt was taking picture of a stained piece of wood. Never finished it. After rewatching this, I want to give it another go.
Love this! And whilst I would love to be a blorbo some day, gender neutral wife/husband is 'spouse' so waifu/husbando equivalent is spousu~
the model your using is amazing!
my laptop lags to another dimension when I blend different colours together. nice vid btw
This recommendation is already late but I enjoy this video a lot as I realize what kind of Hair I had enough
I didn't know about the blur tool, god I feel like an idiot

At the beginning of making the hair the color reminds me of a leek
How did you make your models hair translucent in some places? I thought the program didn't allow translucency?
You can edit the texture in blender! There's tutorials on UA-cam on how to do it ^^
EDIT: nvm I figured it out! Turns out I didn't have the front and back selected as the same material XD

@@buwakuda Oh, so texture is divided on outer side and inner side 50\50. Gotcha, thanks!
when it got to the blending part i was confused, how come your blending tool doesn't freeze your entire laptop??
It does lmao I just cut a lot of waiting time
11:41 I wanna say “partneru” or “spouseru” but I likely look stupid saying that
I will call gender neutral Ufu.
