One of the best Clip Studio tutorials I've ever seen and explains the fill tool so much better than Iv'e heard. I've been using it for a long time, but this will help immensely. I learned a bunch of new, useful stuff. Thank you, Nadia.
I'm sooooooo super happy to hear that ;___; I'm always afraid if I over/under-explain or just talk gibberish that no one can figure out XD;; So I'm very, very happy whenever someone learns something from my videos! Thank you so much for watching ^^
Watching your video is like working a giant field with just your hands and then looking over your shoulder and suddenly seeing actual farm machinery. Not even joking this will all save me many hours of work and I wish I looked this up sooner. Thank you so much! Got a sub from me!
Haha, you're super sweet! 😚 I've worked with them before and they're super nice - maybe I'll get to do that again in the future ^^ Thank you so much for watching 💖
I’ve used CSP for about 5 years now and I can’t believe how much my mind was just blown all because it never occurred to me to look at fill tool properties.
Amazing guide! I had no idea how people were coloring so efficiently in this program (I was basically doing it by hand), this is incredible and makes me more excited to really improve my drawing. Thank you so much for the guide!
Another tip when using the fill bucket tool: Hold down and drag your cursor across your line art and it will fill all the areas you drag to. Much easier than clicking 10 times on each enclosed area. Additionally, similar to the "connected pixels only" part at 16:51 ,but with even more control: Say you only want to change half of your blue areas to red. Start your cursor in a blue area, hold and drag the fill tool over those blue areas and it will change them to red. CSP will intelligently know you only want to change that blue hue and will ignore all other colors as you drag your cursor around the page.
I had such a hard time letting go of Photoshop for some reason. But then I realized it was probably because I was just afraid to dive into something new and leave something comfortable behind. Now I'm only frustrated that I didn't go to CSP sooner 😅 It makes such a difference to work in a program that was specificly designed for artists!
Great tips! I was so happy when I learned ‘area scaling’. And yes- the reference layers. Just what we needed! Thanks so much for your videos- you inspired me to start my own drawing channel! 😊

So good to see you here >w< And thank you for sticking around and encouraging me all this time C: I was honestly surprised to see how many tools CSP were offering compared to Photoshop. I used to think that Photoshop had it all (and it DOES in terms of photo-editing etc.), but there's clearly a difference from PS to CSP. It's clear that CSP was MADE for artists/illustrators whereas Photoshop "just" happens to also include drawing tools. I still love Photoshop for setting up graphics, but I will probably never really draw in it again. Thank you for watching >w< and you be safe too!

Thank you for this! =) I found tons of useful info for me about the bucket/fill tool. I sparingly use the fill tool and with all the knowledge from your video, I might actually learn to use it more often from now on.
This was the most entertaining, professional and helpful tutorial I have ever seen! 😊 I especially liked the part where you said "what you see, is what the fill tool sees", that was such a neat and simple way to explain it! Thank you for spending so much time on making this tutorial! ❤
Changed from Photoshop to CSP last year and its such a HUGE help! Especially the fact that you can drag 3D items and models into your 2D canvas for easy reference^_^ Oh and of course the fact that you can have a sub view of your actual reference...
The 3D models were actually my first motivation to use CSP 😆 They're SUPER helpful. And now that they released Primitives, it has made my life so much easier! Sometimes I just spend hours building poses and sometimes I upload them to the asset store. This software just has it all. Thank you so much for watching 🥰
I've been using CSP for a few years now and there's still so much to discover!!! Thank you! My jaw dropped at the fill in painted area! And for the all of the same color thing, I had been selecting by color gamut and like omg that speeds things up! I've been coloring with selection and markers this entire time aaaa
Oh my goodness I've been struggling so much with issues where I'll fill a space but there's still tiny white areas along the edges because of how I do my line art. Couldn't figure out how to stop that from happening and had to fill the white areas in manually every time when even that green brush tool didn't work to fix it. You've saved me so much time and frustration 😩
i already knew mos tof these (the hard way) but clarification on a couple options and specifically hwo to use the enclose and fill and fill unpainted areas was epic!! its gonna make my colour work SO much easier
Hi Nadia. Brilliant video thank you. I have been using csp for awhile but never really fully understood those options. Love your art keep the tutorials coming

bless this video, i recently moved over from medibang to csp and felt like i was constantly wrestling with the fill tool because mb had such a simple one
this was so SO helpful!! I've been struggling with using the fill tool for quite some time now, and now I understand it so much better! It helped my cut my drawing time in half now that I can do it much more efficiently. Thanks so much for making this tutorial!!
Hands down these are the best and most helpful CSP tips I have found. Awesome job!
Great to see you back and an excellent video.
Glad you are liking CSP, I think it is the perfect middle ground between Photoshop and Painter.
It's super good to be back ❤️ Thank you for watching ^^
And yes, I agree! CSP falls really well in-between other painting software I've used :D
@@Nadiaxel my pleasure, I've been using CSP for a couple of years now but still learned very useful tips from your video. Thank you.
Thank you, I just bought my csp this December and was going to use it until... windows update decide to kill my PC so.. still working on that. Your tutorial very informative and straight cut to the stuff I wanted to learn.
I wish I has this back in my day when I was a flatter.... I even how my old video of coloring jazza contest color of lost and helping people with my ramble talks.
Oh nooo... I hope you can fix your computer problem soon ;___; So you can get back to drawing. I'm so happy to use CSP now (especially after getting to know the software better) and I hope my tutorials will help you guys to get to know it better fast so you can just enjoy using it ^-^
Thank you for this! =)
I found tons of useful info for me about the bucket/fill tool. I sparingly use the fill tool and with all the knowledge from your video, I might actually learn to use it more often from now on.
You... Are a saint... I could cry right now, you just saved me HOURS of work...
OMG never thought I would see some kind of this video that very understandable.
Thanks a lot miss, This is really helpful.
I learned so much! Thank you for the explanations! And I'm glad to see you back.
I love the energy and subtle humour in your videos. Thanks for doing what you do. :D
I’ve used PS all my years as an illustrator. Now this is starting to convince me to transfer entirely to Clip Studio. Thank you for this tutorial!
Best video tutorial I've seen about clip studio. Love it 🔥🔥
Thank you so much for this kind of information. It’s makes it a lot easier for me to finish my artwork/animation twice as fast now.
aaaaa I'm super happy you found the video useful C: Thank you so much for watching 💝
Hi Nadia. Brilliant video thank you. I have been using csp for awhile but never really fully understood those options. Love your art keep the tutorials coming
Awesome! I was just fighting with these tools but now that I understand them better, things should work out. Thanks for the tutorial!
Amazing, thank you!.... nice to have your content back, made me get back into my art and finish a few projects
OMG!!! Thank you so much! I've been so frustrated trying to get it to work properly. This is exactly what I needed. Thank you!!
THANK YOU! I always wondered how speed draw artists would make a large selection and suddenly it was perfectly/near perfectly colored! Close and fill tool shall elude me no longer!
This was most informative. I have learn a lot about this tool that I thought I knew, but didn't. Thank you for sharing.
You just saved me so many agonizing minutes in the future 😭💜 thank you so much
Excellent tutorial well explained, I’m just learning the tools in CSP. I look forward to seeing more your teaching.
This was all so very helpful! Thank you for breaking it down so thoroughly. I've been struggling with the fill tool this whole time and could never find an answer
