I met you and shook your hand Mr Patel , back in 1995 or 1996 in my local cigar store in Connecticut, USA. You were promoting your brand and offering buy 1 or 2 (I can't remember?) and get one free. I picked up a few and enjoyed them. You could tell you had a passion and love for cigars. I am very happy things worked out for you and you are living your dream today.
Fellow cigar smokers, this man is the real deal. It's been twenty plus years since he earned his way - the hard way, by going door to door, pounding the pavement and winning over cigar smokers with his energy, gracious demeanor and his passion and love for a wonderful product we all know today. Indian Tabac is no more, but in its place we have so many fantastic cigars by Rocky Patel. The awesome Decade and Royale, Fifty-Five, Sun grown, Vintage lines, super Ligero, Edge, Anniversary, etc, etc,.....
    Way to go !!!

The first premium cigar I ever smoked was RP Vintage 92, and knew instantly I was hooked. For my wedding day my wife bought me and the boys a half box of 92’s and it made the day that much better. I have smoked a lot of different brands, sizes and shapes but always find myself going back to a RP. After watching this video it makes me appreciate them that much more. I love to see someone so passionate about something they truly believe in. Thank you sir and your team for putting so much time, passion and care into each stick that I have enjoyed.

Mr.Patel...I've been smoking cigars since I was 19, I'm now 67 and have enjoyed many of your cigars, RP cigars are among some of the finest and have a range of body that are exceptionally good.!! When I started smoking cigars in the late 70s there weren't as many brands as there are now, the cigarette industry shouldn't be compared to the "CIGAR" industry, yes both use tobacco but cigars are a much better alternative to tobacco use than cigarettes....
I'm so happy to see your video and see the passion of what it takes to make a great product.
    Excellent video.

I was excited but they turned out to be fakes and didn't taste good at all. I was disappointed, but I didn't want to waste the supplies I had purchased (humidor, cutter e.t.c). So at the liquor store I picked up the sample pack, never knowing of RP before, just to have something to try. I tell you, I am in love! I had not smoked a cigar in the past 10 years (health issue). Finally, I decided to buy a few good cigars. I am tired of denying myself delicious single malt scotch,
and the best cigars this life has to offer. Your name was new to me. Based upon the description and reviews I read online, I purchased 5 Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 Churchill Connecticut cigars.
Man, a lot has changed in 10 years. Lots of new names in cigar brands. Price wise, They run the gamut, from the cheap, dollar a stick cigar that is truly like smoking a stick, to a 35 dollar cigar I am not nearly decadent enough to set ablaze.
But Mr. Patel, these are one of the perhaps three best cigars I have enjoyed. Ever. I will be buying some Rocky Patel Edge Lite Double Coronas and some Rocky Patel, Java Red Toro Maduor Square Pressed cigars (6" x 50) as soon as I have the extra money. (Social Security checks are here in a week.) But tomorrow, I am going to drive to my favorite cigar shoppe and purchase a single cigar. It will be either the Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 Churchill Sumatra, or the Rocky Patel Vintage 2003 Churchill Cameroon. I suspect I can't go wrong with either cigar.

@@garyhenderson6504 Be glad to, it's 4am here and I'm up early to watch the boxing! It's a strong, dark chocolate/coffee box pressed cigar. It's high-medium to full strength, and has a little vanilla sweetness. It came #2 in Cigar Afficionado's Cigar of the Year list in 2016. They're not super expensive either. I import boxes of them from the US at about $8 each.

What an awesome video by the cigar maestro himself. Was actually hoping to see Rosa hand roll a maduro torpedo on her thigh, but they no longer do that anymore. Bought my first batch of Rocky Patel's Vintage 1990 in January 2011 of which I have set aside 5 of the most beautiful boxed 7 inchers in my 250ct humidor which smells wonderful when I open its glass door. There is nothing compared to it.
And for the idiot below that thinks RP uses a dye to color the wrapper leave, "are you FUCKING crazy?" Doing crap like that is how you commit business suicide. Get it? RPs cigars retail on average around $10 each. Some sell for less and some sell for a lot more. You may be buying machine rolled cigars coming out of China but that is your problem, not ours. V P I understand they make lower end sticks but they make damn good cigars too! The royale and the decade. The XX year aniversario is great as well. I find it hard to believe that you think this way. Maybe you left the cigars in the garage for a month and smoked them dry.

Yeah I wouldn't even mention patel in the same sentence as Fuente. patel grows no tobacco and has only been around since right before the boom in the late 90's. I'll check back in 75 years and see if they are still in business.

Another little secret in this process is the final color stabilization area - not shown in this video. If anyone wonders how they get the consistent coloration in a box of fine cigars, we have to go to the rectal injection curing room. It is in this room where the cigars are given their final flavor and coloration treatment as they are inserted in the rectums of specially bred and fed sheep. The cigars are left in the sheep rectums for a period of five days where they are infused with specific colors and surface flavoring custom tailored to each box and product line. This consistency is ensured through the breeding and feeding of the receptor sheep.
Once this final process is completed, the human ejection professionals will carefully remove the cigars from the sheep rectums using the paper ring method. Very few people understand this is why the cigars have the paper ring - it is used as sort of a toilet paper to protect the hands of the ejection professional. Cigar diameter sizes are actually graded based on the rectal cavity of the receiver sheep - as "grosso, middo, and pequeno"

i've been smoking cigars for a couple years now and this is an awesome video. cigars and cigarettes are TOTALLY DIFFERENT. all natural with no chemical and only 100% tobacco leaves make up a hand rolled cigar. they shouldn't even be in the same classification. Cigars are a true art form and should be appreciated by everyone. I hate when I hear people saying that Cigar smoking is more dangerous than cigarettes...LOL. no it's not! You can't inhale cigars unless you want to get extremely sick from the Nicotine. I think cigars are a great alternative to people who want to quit cigarettes. You can smoke and get nicotine without having to put all those toxic chemicals in your lungs that are in cigarettes.
